I think consistent gambling can make someone go crazy, especially when you don't have something doing you would be eager to make money by force which can easily result to gambling addiction. If you check very well now you will see that there are people that are not doing anything at home so they see gambling as their only source of income, but that is not a good idea because it will still not afford to pay your bills, rather it will lead to addiction because gambling doesn't have any easy way to make money.

When we lose an income that is more reliable, we tend to lose mental stability which is commonly due to economic dependence on gambling. I believe that the desire to become winners would merely put us in a downward spiral of unsuccessful performance which is hard to single handedly get out of. You are correct that gambling our day to day bills is not a good move to all of us. The already excessive financial pressure makes us descend into a painful emotional depth without a real job.

I'm not an expert but I think that in most cases the cause for an addiction could come from the second example. I'm sure that there are some people who intend to achieve a source of income via gambling, although it is obvious that it is neither a reasonable nor an intelligent strategy, but there is people of all kinds.

Addiction can be cause by many things but one of the major reason gamblers get addicted is becoming they try to make gambling as a source of their income. It's not actually bad but it builds a wrong mindset for you that would affect you on a long term. As a gambler your mindset should be built based on realistic goals not expectations. We expect too much from our games, so many people use small money and try to win something impossible. All these put together drives you to addiction but you won't realise this till it's too late. Yes, when someone considers gambling as a source of income, then people easily become addicted to gambling. Gambling is not for making money, gambling is just for entertainment. Those who consider gambling as a means of earning money are addicted to gambling. I have seen many such gamblers. Besides, excessive gambling and taking loans for gambling are just one of the signs of addiction to gambling.

The most common reason why people easily get addicted to gambling is by seeing it as a source of income. When someone starts seeing gambling as a way of making money, they begin betting all the time and using any money they have to gamble. From there, as they play regularly, they will gradually become addicted.I remember those days when I thought gambling would make me a millionaire. I didn't always care about the money I used to gamble. Once money was in my hand, whether it was for me or not, I would just use it to gamble. That's when I became addicted. But I didn’t notice it was happening. It was actually my friend who noticed.

Gradually, he started educating me on how bad it is to be addicted to something, especially gambling. Luckily, with his help, I was able to take a break. I was lucky enough to stop gambling for a while before I later started again. Having a lot of free time is just one trigger for addiction, but I believe the main trigger is the desire to play and win a lot of money. I don't think gamblers who do it for fun are easily addicted, but there are quite a few gamblers who get caught up in this excuse before they actually become addicted.
