I saw tournament or promotion from popular online casino already here in bitcointalk $15,000 freebet as prize (1st place). If you win that would you place it as a combo bet or a single bet? Keep in mind that the minimum odds allowed are 1.3 and the maximum odds are 3.8.
Also, if you want to secure a profit from that freebet and selling it is allowed, would you sell that or not, if yes then how much would you sell it?
For me I think hedging of that freebet is the best way if you really want to secure profit for that kind of freebet right?

such a huge amount as a free bet, honestly that would make me even more careful with my bets because I wouldn't want to lose it. The safest thing I would do is to bet on 1.3 odds since it is the minimum, if I can get this two to three times then I guess I would take my wins. I can only bet with such an amount because it is a free bet, if it wasn't a free bet then I probably wouldn't take that type of risk

If it can be sold and there is indeed a demand, I have no problem selling it because the money received is more certain.
Moreover, so far, I haven't had very good experiences with freebets, sometimes produced, but mostly losses, so selling is my first choice.
But I have a question, is $15,000 divided or is it whole? So you can only make one bet directly with that amount

As far as I know, we cannot use the freebet to be divided into several bets, but we can only use it in one bet. At least until now I have not found a freebet that can be shared, maybe someone else has.

There is a risk that we take here, so if I were in that position then I would probably prefer to sell it, at least with a nominal $ 7500, because the risk I have to take if I use it to bet then I will lose everything. While if I sell, I will lose half of the freebet that I get. Besides, I can bet again using the money from the sale.

It is an effective plan to sell these stakes half their value to safeguard all your riches in the face of so soon losing all. You must understand that it is much more helpful to have cash capital than have game tickets with a question mark on them with a situation that is yet to be determined.

I can use the money I get from the sale for other things, including going back to gambling. And we can also have the flexibility to determine the amount that I will bet. That reduces the risk even if we lose half of the freebet value, but that's not a problem.

I would sell it... If I can find a buyer who is ready to give at least $4k. Hedging is a good option, but I wouldn't do it... If I can't sell it, I would probably go for x1.5 (a bit more or less). Of course, if that free bet falls from the sky.

It's an interesting thing, and I guess most of us will never win a tournament with such a prize... for more than one reason. But those guys who are winning these tournaments & prizes would probably take most of it.

Winning huge amount on promotion or tournament is the wet dream of every small gambler. Most of the time a rewards like this huge requires a lot of tickets if it’s on lottery based which whale player dominates the winning percentage.

However, I saw in the past that someone with small tickets quantity manage to win the top prize beating the odds against whale players so I always take my chance to atleast get a few tickets.

I would place a bet with a bookmaker with odds of 2 or close to that. I will explain this for purely emotional reasons. If you place a low-odds bet and lose, it will be just super annoying (because you don't have to treat the freebet as an investment and evaluate your bet from the point of view of reliability). Since the attitude is easier, then the bet should be made more risky. However, it's stupid to take too much risk, and it would also be very disappointing if you lose (not so much, but nevertheless), so 2 would be the optimal odds for betting. At least the gain would have been very tangible, and the loss would have been both logically and emotionally justified, which means it would not have caused strong resentment.

For me, this would be the most obvious option. Hedging allows you to cash out your winnings with a loss of literally a couple of percent, so I'd go that route. Maybe I'd use $500 or $1,000 of that amount as a free bet later, but $15,000 is a significant amount for me, so I'd cash it out. Taking a risk and betting on the minimum allowed odds of 1.3 and losing would be unacceptable for me  I have had experience losing bets with much lower odds (1.04 seems to be the lowest for a single bet and 1.01 for multiple bets when I add dozens of different outcomes), so I understand that it is very easy to lose a bet of 1.3.

If I got a $15,000 free bet, I’d put it all on one match. I’d choose a pick with roughly equal chances and odds around 1.85. But if selling the free bet is allowed, I’d definitely sell it. A fair price for a free bet like that, in my opinion, would be around $5,000. And to whoever gets this free bet — good luck, my friend!
