But when parents do certain things or indulge in some behaviors in front of their kids, it’s basically like telling them, Hey, it’s okay to do this, even though they orally try to convince them that it’s not. Children may not copy everything from their parents, but you’ll get to understand if you observe closely, that kids tend to learn the silly things more, especially when they see some other kids and their peers doing it, so seeing their parents doing the same thing is like giving them the express permission to go ahead.

There are some behaviours I do that I hope my children wouldn't see me do. Children don't care much about your words. They learn very easily from what people around them do. But they learn mostly from their parents, not even from their teachers. Children spend more time with teachers than parents, yet the parents have more influence.
I feel bad when I see the next generation. The rate of bad parenting might increase greatly in the future. Some parents smoke, drink, and even have sex before their children, and I wonder what they teach their kids.
