Smoking in front of your children, right or wrong?

I don't condemn smoking as an adult, but it is a better practice not to expose these very tender ones to the harsh physical, health and psychological effects of smoking.

There is nothing wrong with smoking even when there is always an inscription about smokers liable to die young, this does not mean that all smokers are going to die young. If you are a chronic smoker, there is no reason to smoke in the presence of your children because they will send a different signal about their father smoking which means they can also mimic him and learn how to smoke too.
This is how children becomes a negative impact to the society, going about teaching their friends how to smoke which should not be embraced at a tender age. Smoking is bad for children and should not be encouraged.

As we don't advise negative addicting things to our children we also implore to the parents not to smoke in front of them, even if they no that there parents smoke do to what the heard from people is better they only hear it than a parent openly doing it in there presents, when a child is use to seeing it from there parents they might rap a paper one day and be practicing how they saw there father smoking it, smoking cannot be condemned but they're not for the intake of little children because there brain could be a striking point of the smoking were they would be thinking abnormal.

I was chilling with my siblings at the rooftop bar section of a hotel when I noticed this man who came on a date with his family and was smoking cannabis freely in front of his wife and two beautiful children of as not more than 5 and 7. It was unpleasant to me because children see their parents as role models and are very fast to copying what they see their parents do. Exposing them to such experience at a tender age reinforces the desire to smoke in them and may even see them start smoking before they are adults, with or without the knowledge and permission of their parents.

Furthermore, there are health implication of inhaling cannabis in their tender body systems. Children can suffer seizures and even breathing problems from cannabis poisoning, it can also cause asthma attacks, unnecessary agitation and even decreased coordination in children. Temporal effects on children can last from 24-36 hours.

Already smoking is not good for the body; that's why they wrote on the pack that smokers are liable to die young. Now it all depends on your kind of personality as a parent and if you're a smoker. Because if you see it as being wrong, I doubt you as a father would even get to smoke in the first place, so parents may not see this as bad; perhaps he too may have grown up seeing his father do some smoking too.

But generally, it's a bad thing to smoke in front of such kids; you're literally teaching them what to do when they grow up, even though some may get to see it when they've grown up.

well am a newbie but yes,  you’re drawing a clear line around responsibility and exposure, especially where children are involved. Parents are indeed the first and most influential role models children have.

Whether smoking in front of your kids is right or wrong depends on what is perceived as right or wrong in the society that you are. What you see as wrong could be seen as right with the next person, morality isn’t something that’s static or perceived the same way everywhere. It might interest you that there are some societies that see smoking as absolutely nothing but a norm and a way of life. But to answer the question, if you’re a smoker and you have no issue with your kids smoking, maybe then maybe in the future, then we can say you can consider it to be right (for you). But if otherwise…

I totally agree with you, smoking of any kind is not good to be done in the presence of kids be it your kids or any other kids. Smoking in the presence of kids is very bad for them health wise, be it cigarettes or cannabis,  so it's not advisable to do it in the presence of kids. Like you mentioned, kids tends to see their parent as role models, so when you smoke in presence of your kids, it makes them feel its okay to smoke and you take away that choice from them to choose to smoke or not, because they already see you doing it at a tender age and it makes them believe it's okay to smoke.

You are right, there are people who doesn't find it offensive when they have a kid who copy their foot steps both in the right and the wrong things they do they see it as a good way to know there kids takes after them in character and resemblance you do not tell them how to train their kids when they want them to be doing what is wrong, but a father who understands that smoking is not good for his health and keeps on doing it will one day see his children smoking he doesn't need to hide for them to know his lifestyle. If the parents wants to be a good example to their kids it's best to teach them only the good things but the society has given us different individuals so it's obvious you can't see good parents without seeing the daft ones who see wrongs as right.

Firstly smoking is bad for the health, the smoke is really affecting both the smoker, the wife, the children and everyone around them if the smoke is being inhaled. As a father the children will be looking up to him, and children will also look for opportunity to try what they see others doing.

That’s the fact in general definition of the smoking is really bad for health both the adult and the young once’s but the way some are smoking like something that is given them extra health, they don’t know that too of smoking will lead them to affect their inside body which also clause cancer.

It’s very wrong a father to smoke in front of his children because children of today are very fast to grab something in their head, and when they see their father doing such things in their front they will be thinking that it’s good that’s why their father is doing it; so in this case it’s very wrong as father to do such things when his children are there.
