The best Practice to avoid scammer's is Do not interact with people who is giving you free lessons with your money & wallet.
Remember in this world everything has a price, so if you're thinking that someone is helping you without exchnage of anything that's totally wrong thing to do. Atleast in terms of money management, do not belive any strangers.

True, one can only fall as a victim if he entertains the scammer and give his precious time into it, giving the scammer the chance to manipulate the victim and trick his mind so he will fall on the scammer's trap. Realistically, how many total newbies know about hardware wallets? As a total newbie, it's easier to just use a wallet on their device. As long as it's authentic and from the official site of the wallet, then they're all good. What matters is that they used a non-custodial wallet. As a newbie, they may not even know what open or closed source wallets are at that point.  All this is information they learn on their bitcoin journey.

Being a newbie is not an excuse to commit the error of losing Bitcoin due to hacks and malwares.  If one is to put a huge amount of money into anything, isn't security is the priority?  Newbies can do research and learn how to make an airgapped wallet in just a day.  I do not think that is that hard to make one especially the technology now has an AI assistance that can guide a person step by step.

Using myself as an example, I didn't know what a closed-source wallet was. All I knew was not keeping my coin in an exchange where I was not in control of it. The first wallet I used was Trust Wallet. I didn't even know it was a closed-source wallet. At the time, I thought as long as my coin was in a wallet where only I had the secret phrase, I was okay. It was later on that I learnt about open source, closed, hardware wallets and the rest.
So I feel as a newbie, as long as they put their coins in a non-custodial wallet and keep their private key/secret phrase safe, they can go on from there. The rest, they will pick it up along the way.

Why need to delay things that can be done in a day or two?  If one is so serious about Bitcoin security, they can learn about it in just a day or two.  With the help of video tutorials and AI, learning how to secure Bitcoin wallet would be easier.

There isn’t much need in having to accumulate if you don’t know how to secure it. Security of your Bitcoin is the most important thing there is if you are going to accumulate successfully. Anyone who understands DCA method of bitcoin investment must have understood how to save their bitcoin. It is not difficult to safe keep bitcoin. I am not against what you Said, but one thing i will say is it’s very hard to actually say that while researching for wallets you didn’t come across hardware wallets while I don’t know how early your journey was into bitcoin I can say yes if your were extremely early you could have not have the luxury of information that newbies have now and our mistake were actually excusable. But I don’t actually agree with the ideology that one should simply start investing without knowing some proper security proceedings, if it is other knowledge it is actually understandable but not on security

When anyone is investing in Bitcoin, the first thing they should do is move the Bitcoin out of the centralized exchanges after buying it in the spot.
Hardware wallet is a better option for those who are too much techy to handle the airgapped wallet although i too feel that the air gapped wallets are even more secure than the hardware wallets.

DCA is a separate thing, but once you buy more Bitcoin, you should move them to your personal wallet too. Anyone who is investing in Bitcoin should first get a full understanding of how to handle the wallets, etc. I don't understand why people do not pay attention to this aspect

that is why i keep on saying that bitcoin is not for everybody, it is only those who are patient and can endure will be able to profit from bitcoin. many are usually skeptical about bitcoin price movement and can sell just because of a little drop in price. but one thing is for sure, everyone can not be the same, we cant expect everybody to do as we do, that's why human are deferent in nature.

Air gapped is great and basically one of the problem is solved but I've noticed most of scammers these days use social engineering to get into their victim's mind and scam them.
