Do casinos lose popularity once they stop advertising here?

Just wondering about this, nothing deep or well thought out.

I’ve seen a lot of casinos start here, run signature campaigns, post promos, reply to users, and slowly build a name. Over time they became popular, partly because they were very visible in the forum. But what happens when they stop doing all that?

Take Sportsbet.io for example. They already left the forum, but the casino itself is still active. I can still access it and people are still using it.

So did they actually lose popularity, or just lose exposure here in Bitcointalk. Maybe fewer new users, but old users are still playing.
Not sure what the right answer is, so I'm just curious how others see it.

Short answer yes.

Bitcointalk has a lot of active gambler while having no marketing presence here means their ANN received less exposure unless it’s an old popular casino that has regular user.

But in general, Casino with strong marketing promotion received a lot of traffic and engagement to active gamblers.

Some casino choose to focus on social media but they keep coming back to promote here in the forum.

It is very important to know that this forum is not the only platform that gambling sites are advertising, because a gambling site stop signature campaign on this forum, that might not mean that the are not advertising on other social places online.

If a casino stop advertising, they may find it difficult to see more new customers because those that are advertising will be more seen online and will be used by most new gamblers, while also some older gamblers may try such sites out.

Yes, they do, while the level of them being visible and known reduced, which we know is not a very good sign for every business, we needed a more broader exposure and this will make our brand name be well recognized when it was being well represented, this forum alone is a place where a brand can gain the required recognition and also achieve building a community of users aside the ones from other platforms or social media and random users, once they stops, the exposure also stops and only those that already know them may use their platform and that is if they even remember of their existence.

it’s both important for startups but for well established casinos, this is yet another place for them to promote it’s not that they’ll lose popularity if they stop promoting here but it still helps to attract new users and update everyone if there’s updates

Simple answer from me "DEPENDS", a casino may not lose their popularity although they stop their advertising here because bitcointalk is not the only place to advertise their business.
There are many other places to advertise out there, so lets say a casino stop their advertising here but they have huge advertising in many other places then they can keep their popularity.
On the other side, a casino may lose their opportunity if they stop their advertising in all possible places.

I think so, yes. If you look at Stake for example, they’re already very popular, yet they’re still advertising on the forum. That alone shows they understand the value of exposure here, and I don’t think they’ll stop anytime soon. Same with your signature, Bitsler. They were one of the longest-running signature campaigns before, then they stopped, and now they’re back again. I assume they’re in it for the long term this time, since they already know how positive the impact is when they have a presence in the forum.

This forum allows for ANN threads where different types of discussions about individual casinos happen, you don't see something like that very much outside of bitcointalk and trust me they pay alot for publicity outside of this forum, way more than they actually pay in the signature campaigns here while probably not reaching as much target audience than they would reach here, so yes this forum helps with their popularity and also provides them with a wide network of potentially active users.

Promoting a new casino site in this forum is probably essential because the forum already provides an environment where a win-win relationship exists between the casino and its advertisers (sig campaign users). The casino spends money on advertising, while the users often reinvest a portion of their earnings back into gambling on the platform. I think it's hard to say, the forum doesn't have that much traffic like it was back then so I doubt that casinos lose popularity that easily if they don't advertise or stop their campaigns here, there are more ways to advertise your business besides the obvious which is the signature campaigns so I doubt that those casinos aren't using those options too. I think the only edge that the forum has on other ways to advertise casinos is that once the casino has tainted their reputation here, it's really difficult for them to go back to being a reputable one, I see a lot of new accounts that use this forum to check out on different crypto related things after all so if they saw here that a casino sucks, then we will see some decline in their popularity outside the forum.

Your are right about your statement as forum being the largest cryptocurrency community, but then we still habe alot of other big community like redit telegram, what I want you to know here is that, calling this place the largest cryptocurrency community may be wrong but calling it the largest cryptocurrency discussion forum yes you are right.

We know this difference so as to place projects priorities on where their intend to promote their casinos, but for cryptocurrency casinos,  maintaining their presence here is very important.

But we should know that not every casinos have that long terms plans for promotion, most of them have time frame here in the forum and any were else their are promoting, so we shouldn't base their success outcome on a single platform.

No, not at all. They built loyal followers so they would not lose their popularity easily. Some of their loyal followers refer their friends, and they have existing marketing from other platforms; the most important thing is that they built their reputation, and most of the marketing comes from affiliate marketing, like review sites.
Some casinos succeed here, and some succeed on other platforms, but we must admit that casinos with existing advertising here have an edge over those without it.

When the casino stopped promoting itself on this forum, I personally stopped playing there as well. This is because I felt the casino no longer provided any benefit or reciprocity to the forum. Simply put, I used to actively play at Trustdice, and since they stopped promoting it here, I've also stopped playing at the casino. Overall I've simply adopted the principle of reciprocity, which benefits both the casino and the forum.

It also depends on what kind of publicity they get. The publicity they get on this forum, in my opinion, is positive publicity.
Only casinos that are doing well financially can circulate signatures and only casinos that have good reviews can do these things, this double check helps filter out scammers.

Just like the second comment has said, the casinos or other companies that do signature promotion on this forum might also have other platforms and channels that they are also using to promote their company and not just the forum. So, if they stopped promoting their company on the forum, they are doing so else where. For example, stake, BC game and even the casino you used as example does not only promote their casino here, I have seen their ads on different platforms. It's possible for a casino to stop their campaign here but active on other platforms.

If a casino has already built its brand strongly enough and has other target markets, such as through advertising on platforms related to crypto, they can still operate and gain new users. 
When they are still active in forums, it means they are still managing their customers who come from the forums, even without advertising or running campaigns on the forums.

I don't think so, many of the best casinos don't advertise here because they don't open payment options with crypto, because the Bitcointalk forum is the basic foundation of the crypto space like Bitcoin of course they open space on this forum to advertise, meaning we have expertise space in the trading section. Don't look for space in the mining section, that's a different path.

Casinos advertise here, most casinos are engaged in crypto, of course the place is here, those who are not engaged in Crypto are of course given outside the forum, overall what I see is the best crypto gambling advertising space on Bitcointalk, although there are other forums that work in the crypto field but they are not as good as here, the point is that popularity takes its place.
