Alliances with Russia & China are purely transactional nothing more nothing less

This US vs Venezuela saga clearly exposes the hard reality that many countries refuse to accept!. The truth is that to have alliance with either Russia or China, the leaders of those countries should know that,  loyalty is never part of the deal all that they think of is their economic benefits, because when trouble surfaces they will pull back without any hesitation, just take a good look at history of how they leave their partners expose at the time of critical security needs or collaborations. Recently, Syria and in the past, Armenia and now history just repeat itself, Venezuela being the new partner left at the Altar of American Punishment.

African military leaders should such as Ibrahim Traore of Burkina Faso and that of Mali, should open their eyes and take note that counting on Russia as a strategic steadfast ally is a very dangerous gamble! because their support comes with so much uncertainty and when the stakes are high, they will abandon you without thinking twice.

So you expect China to start warmongering like the US did with Ukraine? Or is trying to do with Taiwan?
If I had to choose an ally, I would side with China rather than a bully like the US that goes on to bully countries into making deals with them. Do you know how much Ukraine has to pay in terms of Natural resources just because the US decided to side with them?

Russia would be avoiding any conflicts because its hands are full fighting Ukraine. China doesn't want any confrontation with the US to avoid economic sanctions in the form of tariffs. The US has no competition, so bully Trump can do as he likes.

I think OP is saying that Russia and China would have protected their allies from the bullying of the US. Since Venezuela is a close ally of both China and Russia, maybe OP feels these nations would have given Venezuela the military support to fight the US. The US was building up arms, warships and personnel along Venezuela's coast for several months, and Russia and China were silent. The poster is saying that those countries that rely on China and Russia should be careful because they wouldn't come to their aid if they come under attack.

The only reason why any country keeps its word is that it is beneficial for a country to do so, generally. Don't trust the transactions. Rather, look for the ways that the countries are going to sneak around the transactions, to get things that they want.

I understood what he was trying to say but maybe what China is trying to signal is for countries to stand up to themselves and fight the bully. China is perhaps trying to use a different approach of building allies and not through random wars and invasions like the US and her allies have been doing.

The business of developing countries waiting for intervations from "Superpowers" and "developed" countries should have ended in the colonial era. If indeed a nation is a soverign state, then they should be able to defend the soverignity at all costs. US uses such intervations in terms of peacekeeping and aid as a way of continued neocolonialism that is happening right now.

This is nothing but the sad truth. Alliances do not come easy anymore. There must be something to be gained and something to be lost. Everything is transactional, and if doesnt benefits both parties equally, an agreement may be difficult to strike.

The African leaders are aware of this. The thing is, life events can put a country in a situation where they have nothing to lose but to be in alliance with a common enemy. Russian and China will surely abandon another country even after agreement, when they see the risk is high and what to gain is less.
