Been building this thing for a while now. Not going to pretend it's going to change the world or make anyone rich. Just wanted something that works, and it does.
What is PIN?
PIN (P2P Inference Network) lets you connect your local Ollama/vLLM instance to a marketplace. You run inference, you get paid. Simple.
No token. No presale. No roadmap with "Q4 2027: World Domination." Just a daemon that connects to our server, does an interview to make sure your LLM isn't garbage, and starts routing requests.
How it works:
You register as an operator
Download the daemon (Rust, ~5MB binary)
Point it at your Ollama
Set your price (or don't, we have a default)
Wait for requests
You keep 67% of what you earn. We keep 33% to keep the lights on.
Why I built this:
OpenAI charges what they charge. Cloud inference is expensive. Meanwhile, there are thousands of people running LLMs on their gaming rigs, RTX 4090s mining nothing because ETH went PoS. Seemed like a waste.
This isn't some grand vision. It's just... if you have GPU cycles and want beer money, here's a way to get it. If you need cheap inference and don't want to give OpenAI your API key, here's an alternative.
