It shows the minute the faucet started, the time the 15sec window started (someone +pulsed), how many extension users were active and if one saw the 15 sec flash and clicked.   Once the faucet is started, it lasts until someone pulses or the hour ends, upon which a new random minute is selected.  A --- means data was not available (i.e. not tracked yet)

Hey Vod I remember having some satoshi on my shadow pulse faucet balance . but after updating the extension my balance is zeero. Did you start your database from fresh start?cause I don't see any balance nor any transaction there . I remember getting 2 faucet extra cause of the tool bug which I also mentioned in this thread and also informed DYING_S0UL via personal message.

Other than this new version is working fine , lets see if I can dig up any new ugs here.

Everytime I update I backup the keys first, remove the extension completely, download the fresh files from github, unzip and then manual update. Lastly importing the keys. Always followed these steps, never lost my balance. Last updated like a day ago (v2.5.2), didn't lose any data.

Thanks it worked , I thought just by drag and drop it will just update the extension ,  but it seems like its just replacing the whole extension thats why I didn't noticed there has been new account generated . After successfully replacing the previous secrete key I was able to retain my previous balance . I think newies should know this otherwise they will face this un-neccesary problem like this . )

LOL, i thought you were an expert with these, guess not (just kidding..)...anyway always do a fresh installing if you can, and also backup your keys safely, otherwise you'll have to start over from zero balance, because there are no account recovery nor Vod can recover it (according to he himself, I believe he said it somewhere i can't remember). So be careful about that.

Now that you have said it, I think it would be wise to add a warning to the front page saying, "You account is non recoverable if secret keys are lost - regards Vod" --- something like that.


Btw, I really liked that (Vod) you added that UTC clock, I always mess up the time zones...(UTC EST CST etc)

Me too.   While waiting for everyone to move to Alberta, this is a good interim step.    I'll update the instructions to make it clear, and I'll re-add the flashing SHOW button on the next extension update.

I don't know what browser you use, but Chrome provides a way to "Refresh" the extension.    Just close all bct windows, unzip into the same directory you did before, then refresh and you will see the version change but your extension data is not wiped.

Note that, I do not see the faucet pulsing BTC logo anymore. It's been like that for the last couple of updates. Of course I'm not 24/7 active to monitor the situation. But for the limited time I'm on the forum, I didnot see the logo. Even for a brief moment, or accidentally. Either I'm very very very unlucky with the timing or something is not right (as you mentioned you need to check on the faucet situation). At least, previously, if we came late, we would see the late message, but now not a single sign/trace of faucet. I even talked with @mahi a bit regarding this situation, and he, too, had concerns/confusion with the faucet.

Vod I have a suggestion maybe the faucet is triggering but its not properly sending on Extension or sending it on delay.  Just in a 15 second delay for closing the faucet. Maybe even though in backend your faucet is firing in extension its not keeping up or missing something. I hope you will look into it.

And that's the weird part, we aren't seeing the faucet, so we are complaining. But someone obviously been lucky and won once.

Also, a question, if someone misses that 15 second window and the faucet disappears, then is the faucet forfeited for that hour? Or will it show again at a different random time within that 1 hour? Or once it's gone, it's gone for that hour?

That's because there aren't many users yet.  

The issue isn’t that the faucet goes unclaimed. I was actively testing this feature on BTT, and the faucet didn’t light up like it usually does. Maybe there could be an option where the button stays visible until the user actually clicks it. The FCFS and faucet expiry rules would still apply, of course. So even if a user isn’t qualified due to FCFS or expiry, at least seeing the button would reassure them that the feature is working. Just my personal opinion haha.

If you follow the page vod recently published where we can track the faucet activity,  if a faucet is missing then that's it it's not firing the faucet again in an hour. Every hour a random time faucet it getting fired , sometimes it's missing.

It's gone from your perspective, but someone in a different time cone may still see it.     I have sent you a url to help test and I have increased timeout to 60 seconds.

OK - I ran the project through an AI that identified the issues are due to the incremental nature of my design and multiple checks are too difficult to troubleshoot.  It recommended I rebuild properly with all features in mind.
