Hi everyone, happy new year.
I have been thinking about something for a while now. I really enjoy reading books, especially financial and investing books, and i was thinking. Since a lot of discussions here are about finance, Bitcoin, and investing, which is good, but one very important part is kidda missing, actually learning and understanding the basics properly.
Most of us want financial freedom, that is obvious. But if we’re really honest, majority of us do not really take time to sit down, read books, and study how money works, how people behave around money, and why long term thinking matters so much in investing and finance..
So the idea of this is just to change that a bit, even if it is only in a small way.
What I have in mind is something like a monthly book reading challenge or small book club. We will pick one book every month, mostly around finance, investing, money mindset, or related topics.
Nothing serious, Just reading, discussing and sharing our thoughts with ourselves since we are interested in improving our financial mindset.
We will do it with a weekly check in, where anyone can come in and share: 1. A lesson that stood out to you 2. A quote you liked 3. Something you agree or disagree with 4. How it relates to Bitcoin or your own experience
The main goal is just to think better about investing, and improve ourselves gradually.
I already have some books in mind, like: The Psychology of Money (Morgan Housel) Rich Dad Poor Dad (Robert Kiyosaki) Secrets of the Millionaire Mind (T. Harv Eker) The Intelligent Investor (Benjamin Graham) The Richest Man in Babylon (George S. Clason)
And many others. I would like to hear what others think, especially people who enjoy reading. We can then decide together which book to start with for the first month.
