Let’s say I’m a US citizen, fully KYC-verified on a casino, and my hobby is to travel a lot and sometimes gamble when I have time, so naturally my IP and location change often.

From the casino’s side, that probably looks suspicious since they will see different countries, different IPs, all tied to one account.

Now what if I unknowingly travel to a country that the casino restricts? Even if my account is already verified, could that still lead to suspension or withdrawal issues later?

My IP addresses aren't always consistent. I always use different ones from different countries, and I've never had any problems with online casinos.

Unless is browser fingerprinting there is no way to see through a VPN like you are saying and it is not all fail proof, please tell us how this works if you are so sure about it. If this was the case no VPN would be enough to protect people and they would be useless don't you think?

In such cases, the casino may flag your account initially if they are strict about using a VPN due to change IP. So first you have to read the casino terms regarding the VPN that you are gambling with. I am just saying this to avoid unnecessary issues. Also, you may have to check their restricted countries; most probably they would flag when you try to gamble from the restricted countries. Because they restricted a jurisdiction, not you as a person.

Better practice before travelling abroad: inform and talk with the casino support system. Talk them through live support or write them through mail to make them aware of your travel abroad. Once they have prior notice about your travel, then there shouldn't be any issues. So you have to comply with the casino team and support before travels.

The terms of service of the casino should be able to cover this issue. However if you know that you would be traveling to restricted countries, it would be ideal to inform the casino. Contact the customer support of the casino and discuss your situation with them. This is because they might not have the license to operate in your new location.  Gambling in such a jurisdiction could put them at risk. Therefore,  they might have no option but to sanction you by restricting withdrawals or suspension.. If you didn't notify them, don't gamble in such an area to avoid issues.

It might cause a complication if you try to use VPN to bypass the IP restriction set for that specific country.

However, Reputable casino is always reasonable on this scenario since you already submitted KYC. I thunk they might just you again to verify KYC again in case they suspected you for changing location.

You can back your claim that you are currently traveling. But you might experience inconvenience on some casino with shitty support.

But would they really look at the country I’m accessing from, instead of just where my documents say I’m from?
I mean, if they already approved my account for gambling, then I should be good to go.

I travel a lot now, and sometimes I’m in countries where access is restricted. But as far as I understand, what’s usually banned is the citizens of that country, not someone who’s just visiting. I’m not a citizen there, I’m just a tourist. So how does that actually work in practice?

If the casino's ToS says that they can flagged IPs for some reasons you should abide by it, before you start using a online casino I recommend trying to read their ToS because if anything should happen they will use their ToS to take advantage of you and Moreover it's your fault for not reading the ToS.

I think it doesn't really matter much if it's just a short-term thing that makes you access from a different IP. If it's a long-term stay, maybe 6 months or more, that's how it will be. Perhaps the impact can be seen, but I think it's nothing to be worried about.

What I'm curious about is: when you do withdraw or handle any payment, can it be flagged or something? I guess that's how it will go.

Read the ToS of the casino you are going to gamble on. If there is no clear answer send an email to the casinos support. Have documented permission so they can't fuck you if you win. If they try to, you can post it all here if they use this forum and see how that goes for them.

Casinos don't just banned or flag your account just like that, if you are changing your IP to a mobile data, meaning you use your roaming IP which is from your mobile, you will not have any issues unless the country you travel to is a restricted country for that casino then you get the massage that your IP can not access the casino, but your account will be fine.

If you really want to get help with this, contact the casino’s support team and ask them directly. That’s the best option for you. Every casino has different rules — some allow you to play from other countries, others might block you permanently.

I guess it may be raising questions if you do that a lot and they would be right to circumstance that by limiting your account if you travel a lot. In my case though I only change IP-s when I am on vacation, once or twice a year maximum and so far I had no problems in all casinos that I used to play, all of them being big ones here in the forum which means their security team is good enough to check for problems like this one. Some casinos say they are VPN friendly as they check the behavior, OS, browser and additions or extensions to have better understanding and they normally don't care about the IP change, that should be the best option for people like you who travel a lot.
