There are times that requires you to say thank God you lost only a few I understand you op, just like the first comments said, days where you lost so much and at the end you win an amount that feels like a recovery you will be grateful for the few that was lost and not everyithat you lost in the onset, so personally, when I experience loses so much I just stop and never continue until after a time, as long as my losses is within what I can afford to loss.

It depends on the mindset of the person because the fun in sports betting for instance is not only about the final results but the entire experience you get from the game. Let's take example from when you are watching your favorite team or a game where your favorite player is playing, when you enter the game with a small stake you become extremely excited and even when you lose, you still enjoy the moment. However, being happy because you didn't lose much is not really winning in any financial sense but you can still count it as a win emotionally if you went purely for the fun.
