What shocks me is that, why would you need anyone to do this? You do not have to do this with someone, it is not even about scam at that point, sure what that person is selling is a scam, but assume that it's real, and he is legit, still, why need him? Go to any p2p website for your nation, offer to buy at 5% discount, and then offer to sell at same price or even a little higher.
You would not get customers that easily, but you seek them out and try to find it, some people still do exist. In most cases, others are doing this too, so you would make a razor thin margin for arbitrage.

I`ve found someone who seems trustworthy who does p2p arbitrage. He says I can start with 100$ and I have to pay him only from the profits I make.
How? This text is not quite understandable, did him request for $100 to trade or invest for you, or did you give him some funds to trade for you? I want to make me to comprehend you clearly. He also said that everything is secure, I don`t lose my Bitcoin, I just transfer it from exchanges. That means, he asked to trade for you...do not involve your funds on what you don't understand, because they're many people who scam people through arbitrage kinds of trading, so you need to be smart to understand the footsteps of a scammer. The profit is 1-2% per trade, and he takes 40%. But for me, this is still a lot of money. But what I need to know is whether this kind of business is real or is something scammy or a pyramid scheme.
Sometimes people look for easy people and penetrate into, so that they can scam them easily, so you meet the person online, it's obvious that the person is a scammer, and if it's someone dont know too well, have it in mind that person wants to make away with you money...I will advice you to terminate the discussion or transaction, because that's a move of scammers.

Hello,
So you do the trades let`s call them he tells you where buy btc from Binance and sell it on Poloniex . This is the main strategy I didn`t get into too much detail with him.
1. Because I need to know if there actually are people making money from p2p arbitrage or not. I`m guessing not 2. I didn`t say it was ad because everybody will say 100% scam. There are stuff that works even from Instagram and Facebook Ads.

Yes. That is basically how arbitrage works. You are utilizing two different platforms. 1. There are truly people that are able to make money out of arbitrage but it is better if you are the ones that will formulate you own strategy, as there are lots of scammers out there promising you a guaranteed way to make profit, when the truth is that there is no such thing as guaranteed here on things like trading. 2. Yes of course there are ads that are legit too but most are scammy. Arbitrage itself is legit and even though the person in your deal didn't hold your capital, they may still be fake and only hope that their calls will hit, for them to get a tip. But 40 percent is over price, so good luck for them to that.

Yes this is basically how arbitrage works but to survive in the market you need to understand the dynamics of the market you can never be successful in the long term with other people's signals or strategies. If someone tells you that you will make 5-10% profit a day without any risk, then be sure that it is a scam. Always use big and verified exchanges using your own strategy knowledge and do not trade through links or bots provided by strangers.

Arbitraging on Bitcoin isn't going to give you any profit at all because its value is same at most exchanges but surely arbitraging can be done with some coins, however even that won't allow you to make much profit these days. If I'm not wrong, the arbitraging is almost dead now and whoever claims that he/she can do arbitraging might be deceiving you only.

People do not usually sense things that are seems to be fake. Believe me or not whenever you are being given a provisional offer where it looks too real then you should know that something phishing is going on. However, I never heard of this any day from exchange as I do use p2p to trade fiat, only when I want to sell my coins to NGN I do uses P2P whatever above this seems to be scammers.
Please be warned and stay vigilant.

-snip- I have written for some more details, but I`m looking at the good and at the bad. I do agree with what is said here that I might get a phishing link and get all of my money stolen. But I asked the guy for some more info about this, meaning how do I know it`s you, give me a link, and steal the money. What do you think about this https://p2p.army/en/ccIs this also a scam? It`s in the first organic position on Google. You keep saying that the P2P website is in the first organic position on Google, but you should know that it won't guarantee anything even if it's in the top position because anyone can buy that position for paid advertising. Many people who are stuck with similar phishing websites as you say, are in the top organic position on Google. After all, do you believe in the new platform you have just discovered, and look at its followers on X, there is still very little and no activity whatsoever. For me personally, I will not use a new platform like anything related to money, I will only use an old platform that is trusted even though it costs more, but has a guarantee that it can be trusted because many people already use it

Very sketchy.
While arbitrage is real but it gets fishy when someone tells you to do that from a suggested exchange from that random person.
I'll avoid anything they suggest and will probably ignore them as soon as I have realized that they're trying to scam me.

It could be real, but I don't know if arbitrage is still being practice today to make money in trading. We could believed if it is the early days of crypto trading, but I think by this point exchanges should be aware of this kind of tactics and so they have close the door to arbitrage. Another red flag is the amount that is supposedly making. That's too good to be true, and so with that, it could be really a scam attempt on the OP and as what others suggest, it's better not to go and believed on what he hears from random person in the internet.

If the name of the exchange given is unknown, let's just set that standard that it's suspicious and better avoid than sorry. I do think that there could still some opportunities being found if it's for arbitrage but they don't exist at most times anymore compared before. The exchanges are also playing out with the rates that they have and I think they're closely monitoring arbitrage opportunities from their competitors and so users won't see any of it.

The funniest thing is, when it's about trading or sportsbetting etc, at least you can tell the person "why are you telling me these, why not do it yourself?" because someone who makes money from those, do not need your money. And the best part for them is they can say "I do bet , here is the proof, but I also make more money this way" because it's true, they can trade, or bet, and make money, and then sell those and make even more money, greed is their answer. But when it comes to arbitrage, it doesn't work that way at all. In arbitrage, the less people that know about it the better, if we have a lot of people who know about it then arbitrage will not happen, people will slim that down and make it equal to what the real price is.

I will not takes that as I don't know who he is. I will not risks my account using by other person. I prefer to trade by myself and even if I lose, that will be my learning to be better in trading. You don't know what he can do with your account and just offers interesting profits to you.
But if he is your best friend you trust and can trade well, you can let him using your money to trade and will splits the profits. But this still risky because you gives him money to trade while you don't know if he can be honest to you or not.

...I don`t know what else I can tell you to believe me that I`m not promoting someone secretly.
I don't believe a bit of your story. How come no one is thinking that OP is just making conversations and not in any way serious with what they act like they need to know? I checked their profile and registration date was June 29, 2014. They've been here longer than most of us responding to them on something they (OP) should know. Perhaps, the link and all that lead to them. How will someone who has been here since 2014 not know how these things work? Do we take it that that account exchanged hands, OP?
