Just wanted to ask if there are any employers or companies that pay salary in BTC. Could be full time, part time, or freelance.
If you’ve worked with someone like that or know any legit companies or online jobs paying in BTC, please share. Also curious how payments are usually done.
maybe online payments to freelancers but not physical workers who are under a payment structure an system that pays tax to the government. Most physical businesses will have serious problems with making payments in bitcoin because of the laws and regulations governing their locations and countries, for somebody who is living in my country and operating a corporate company, you cannot make payments in bitcoin because the government is not yet giving that freedom yet and there are not any solid system on ground for that to operate on unless if you are running an online platform, maybe you can pay some of your board members in bitcoin then your general staff in fiat

Never seen a local government made a payment for their employees with the use of the bitcoin it seems into private sectors which is widely accepting the use of the bitcoin, most of them ive seen are related into online services, such as free lancing personally its quite hassle to configure with banks related when it comes to transaction so i do most of the time bitcoin as a payment.

~Also curious how payments are usually done.

You dont know to get curious how its done its just basically. They hire someone, discuss the terms and contract such as mode of payment and after the job they get paid on the desired amount.

I actually don't know any physically, but I'm absolutely sure that crypto related services such as exchanges, projects and casinos are likely t pay and receive payment with Bitcoin, and a good example of such crypto exchanges that I'm sure might pay their staff with Bitcoin includes exchange like Binance, Bitget, Bybit, Coinbase and e.t.c. While secondly, another sets of people who receive payment in Bitcoin are campaign managers on this forum or those who offer sponsorship services by promoting projects here on social media. So if you have any of those skills, you are likely to receive payment with Bitcoin.

Fastfood chain, Steak n’ Shake, said they will be paying in bitcoin.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5569739.0

But as others said, usually freelancers are the ones paid in bitcoin or clients from overseas with employees from a different country.

Boy do I hope I find one here in my country because I really don't like the current inflation rate of our country and it really sucks that what I have isn't good enough money to live comfortably with extra money. I think that I might find some employers that would be able to do that though, I have friends that work in crypto start ups that might be able to accommodate that, I think that in any country, that's where you will most likely find employers that would pay your salary in bitcoin.

As long as Bitcoin is not legal tender nor an official unit of account in your country. Receiving your salary in bitcoin won't help you cope with inflation either. Because at the end of the month, your salary is still calculated based on the value of fiat currency, not a fixed amount of Bitcoin. Similar to what is happening on the forum, although most campaigns pay in Bitcoin but in reality, payment are still calculated based on the BTC/USD exchange rate

To deal inflation, we need to increase income, changing payment method will not help in this case

From what I have read online, employees who usually pay in Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies are usually looking for informal employees or freelancers, it is usually the product of outsourcing jobs from developed countries to developing countries, that is something which is common here in Venezuela, where labor is relatively cheap for companies established in Europe and United States.
On the other hand, formal jobs in which one is legally bonded to one's employer dont usually pay in Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencie, they go for FIAT, since they are legally required by law to do so.

In general, as it stands for now, most employees believe it is more convenient for them to pay salaries with FIAT.

Honestly, I have never seen anywhere where employers are paid in BTC, if not only in this forum and other forums related to altcoins. But, I believe there may be some employers who have decided to pay their employees in Bitcoin. As for this Bitcoin forum, many casino companies that advertise here are paying those members who advertise for them in Bitcoin. So, many casino companies are paying their workers in Bitcoin.

The main reason why many companies do not choose to pay their workers in Bitcoin is because, in many countries, Bitcoin is heavily regulated and many people have not adopted it.The only companies I think would like to pay their workers in Bitcoin are those companies that receive Bitcoin as payment for their services. That is why the casinos here pay members who do some tasks for them in Bitcoin.

This place pays in BTC.  Grin

In all seriousness, very few entities pay you bitcoin to work with them. It's just a tax fuss for them, and they don't see the point in the first place. It's an extra step for them, because they have to buy the bitcoin. Unless of course you're interested to work illegally with an entity that has plenty of bitcoin and cannot convert them to fiat. I understand stacking sats directly with your labor is cool, but since all sort of exchanges and people who take your fiat exist, why messing around?

Bitcoin can best defeat inflation in the long term. If you are going to depend on your Bitcoin earnings to live comfortably daily in the short-term, volatility will be a major barrier. Price swings can be both advantageous and disadvantageous. Imagine it happening at the worst time when you need to pay your bills or payoff a long over due debt. Even if you get an employer that pays in bitcoin, you should look for means to diversify your bitcoins to enable you save bitcoins and spend your fiat earnings on daily bills. You can't depend on bitcoin alone to help you escape inflation.

I believe it is easier to earn BTC as payment over the internet, as you know BTC is great for cross-border payments. So if you have a skill of some sort and offer your service to employers over the internet, BTC is a viable option to receive your payments, because fiat payments would come with a lot of restrictions and protocols if you and your employers are from different countries. With BTC all you need is just a wallet address.

However, it would be harder to find a brick and mortar job to pay you in BTC. But you can pitch the idea to your boss in real life if you really want to earn your salary in BTC. You can present them with the pros and cons and also suitable payments plans, i.e. 40% or less should be paid in BTC.

I don't think you are going to find physical companies that pay their employees in Bitcoin, because Bitcoin has not yet become that mainstream, and another reason why companies don't prefer Bitcoin is because employees would probably not be very happy with that, because it will be an extra hassle for them to take their salary in Bitcoin, and then convert it to fiat so that they can spend it because someone who is salaries will obviously not get their whole salary and hold it, even if someone wants to invest in Bitcoin, they will still need to sell a portion of it.

When it comes to freelancing and such stuff, I'm sure you can find a bunch of platforms with a simple Google search, where you can do freelancing and get paid in Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. It would have been huge if platforms like Fiverr started allowing their users to use Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies for both paying the workers and also allow workers to withdraw their earnings in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies instead of PayPal, Payoneer, etc. If that happens, it will be a great achievement for Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies for sure.

Just wanted to ask if there are any employers or companies that pay salary in BTC. Could be full time, part time, or freelance.

I have never found a company that pays in BTC in my area, but if you search on Google, there are several companies that pay their workers using Bitcoin. Don't know how it works, but because they are a company, they definitely use third party services to handle their payroll system.

If you’ve worked with someone like that or know any legit companies or online jobs paying in BTC, please share. Also curious how payments are usually done.

The sigs campaign I'm following now uses BTC for payment. It's not complicated, because after the week is finished the payment goes straight to my wallet. If you want to see an example, you can visit the service page, there are many campaign sigs there that pay with BTC.

I am sure that there are companies or employers who pays their employees by crypto.
There are so many online jobs that are available nowadays, so many people looking for skilled workers online, not to mention there are crypto casino which we could assume that pays their employees online through crypto.

There are companies that pay in bitcoin especially remote/freelance jobs. You can search for bitcoin jobs on these sites:
https://bitcoinerjobs.com/
Cryptojobslist.com
Fiverr
Upwork

While you are waiting to get one, you can do jobs that pay you fiat and use the money to buy bitcoins.
Do the freelance sites highlighted in the text allow payments via bicoin? I didn't see bitcoin among their payment methods.

You don't have to look far for examples – any signature campaign uses bitcoin for payment.

Payment is simple: transfer from the campaign manager's escrow BTC-wallet to each participant's BTC-address. If you reach a higher rank, you will be able to see this for yourself.

Many remote/freelancer employees get paid in btc nowadays. It is nothing new. Some tech/finance companies in the UK do that too as far as I know, at least that’s my friends told me. In the end they get the usd equivalent of their current salary so it doesn’t change anything for them. Only the btc amount changes every month but they get the same usd value. It is a great thing if you don’t want to deal with banks and working remote/freelancing especially now many mercs accept btc… if not, you can always go to an exchange and get your usd.

A simple search on the internet would give several results of firms that pay workers using Bitcoin. A close look at them shows that they offer crypto-related services. What it means is that there is a high chance that a worker would receive a salary or wages in Bitcoin if they work in a crypto-related organisation.

It is also likely to find physical organisations that pay workers with Bitcoin in countries that have made Bitcoin a legal tender. Employees might have some leverage to negotiate salaries in Bitcoin in such nations.

It is more and more easy to find companies. These jobs will be available on sites such as Bitcoiner Jobs, Crypto.jobs, or LaborX, which will offer full time jobs as well as freelance ones. Usually, you are paid by companies either by directly sending Bitcoin into your digital wallet or by sending your pay through service like BitWage which automatically turns your normal pay into crypto. One should not forget that you must still pay taxes on worth of Bitcoin the day you receive it even when price goes down later. Due to such risk, large number of people choose to get most of their pay in form of cash to cover their bills and only part of their money in Bitcoin to save.

Yeah, alot of companies do offer payment in crypto especially Bitcoin in the freelance job space. I have done some email management job during my early days trying out that on upwork that I was paid in Bitcoin but I just couldn't keep up with the field as most of the time the jobs are contract job and before you get to land another deal something it takes long. And also that's a good advice to work and earn fiat and then yourself you can the Bitcoin.

Exactly. Getting paid in Bitcoin is nice, but freelance gigs can be unstable. Earning fiat first and buying Bitcoin regularly is often the simpler and safer option.

If you’ve worked with someone like that or know any legit companies or online jobs paying in BTC, please share. Also curious how payments are usually done.
Atleast, I know of one company that recently announced that will start paying their workers in bitcoin and this company was discussed about on this forum and on this very board recently, but I unfortunately can no longer remember the name of the company, if I remember very soon, I definitely will edit this comment.

I don't know what you need a list of companies that pay their workers in bitcoin or clients accepting bitcoin for their services for, but what I can tell you is that we may not know so many of them online because they companies or clients haven't made such decisions available to the general public online..
But I personally know several business offline that are accepting bitcoin payment, and even those who ask their workers to choose how they want their salary paid, either in bitcoin or fiat, I know one of such company right now offline, it an automobile 🚘 company that accept bitcoin payments from car buyers, and they pay their workers either in bitcoin or fiat depending on what the worker choose.
