The real question is:
Are we really concerned about the environment, or are we just attacking a system that cannot be controlled?

You literally just spoke the exact truth, because that's exactly what is happening to Bitcoin and including it's mining sectors. Because government will never show the data of energy or electricity been consumed by the manufacturing industry, banking sectors, military base, aviation industries and lots more other sectors that consume the most electricity, simply because they have control over all those sectors, but when it comes to Bitcoin, since they do not have control over it to manipulate its price value, they try every other means to want to frustrate Bitcoin miners. Moreover, if we are to be honest about this thing, you will notice that the total amount of electricity been used for Bitcoin is not even up to 1% of the total electricity been used by all other sectors. Hence, government are just been jealous about Bitcoin.

I'm really looking forward to what the Bitcoin critics have to say about this:
AI to double data centre power and water consumption by 2030, UN researchers say

These people only see that Bitcoin uses a lot of energy, but they don't see that Bitcoin's energy consumption is not comparable to the AI industry, banking, etc., which consume far more energy.
This is really terrible for our future and I am not sure if this is going to work that well for us or not. Because AI data usage is fine, as long as they are using just energy, I do not mind it, the world will have to go towards renewable energy anyway, and when that does eventually happen, we are going to end up with these places covering their own. Hell tesla created gigawatts worth of place for this, and I am sure AI places will too. However, water part is the real problem, because they can't just "make" drinkable water, hell they can't make water any kind of way.

There are far more pressing issues affecting the environment and society and people choose to be critical of Bitcoin every time.
And No! Bitcoin doesn't destroy the environment. We should be able to identify propaganda and concrete information when we see them.
No such news have been heard and even if they do well to regulate and control such situations. Bitcoin since it was created has contributed more good to the society than anything else.

Bitcoin is a good invention and I love Bitcoin but we cannot say Bitcoin has done more good during the years it has been invented due to the fact that there are other inventions that have become more useful to the world because Bitcoin is yet to be fully adopted by every country in the world. The reason why Bitcoin is being talked down on and accused of causing pollution is because of the big mining farms that were discovered in Asia and America. People are using those small pollutions happening in that area to make a judgement of Bitcoin polluting the world but they are wrong since the pollution being created by the farms operating Bitcoin miners are not up to those being created by other things that are destroying the atmosphere, Bitcoin is only being used as the escape goat because of the propaganda of the government and not because Bitcoin holds any threat to climate change.

I don't know what's true or false anymore, do banks really consume more power than Bitcoin mining? Isn't that a lie? Because what's going on in a bank that takes alot of energy? Apart from the cameras, security doors, computers, I believe this claim is inaccurate.

AI data centers also consumes a lot of energy, this is the one that I can say it's on par with Bitcoin mining, I don't see alot of difference between them unless the person who wants to run AI data went with some specific hardwares that takes small wattage to others.

Even if that's the case it's also the same thing with Bitcoin mining too, there are few miners that use small wattage too, in the future I expect more efficient hardwares to come alive, both for AI capable hardware and bitcoin mining.

Yes it does,it's not a political propaganda, when being mined, it does by causing the environment a significant damage, also damage but before all these can take place, it needs a huge amount of electricity, since it does generates millions of electrical waste and this generation brings about noise pollution in our environment and other local neighborhood.

Same old propaganda since 2018, are people still pushing this useless narrative today? Since the government and politicians are now getting into Bitcoin this exact FUD has reduced alot.

It's been a long time since I come across something like this online, I guess the truth keeps coming out and slowly it's fading ot I am missing a part? I don't know but gone are those days where you can see such fud online..

Bitcoin mining is environmentally friendly 100%, there is no population of any kind, even Trump Jr now has a big Bitcoin mining farm, there is no data with proof about the harms that Bitcoin mining as caused.

The narrative and the propaganda have reduced because people spreading the propaganda have come to realize that there is nothing to criticize about Bitcoin since it has proven them wrong for long, and despite their propaganda and agenda against Bitcoin, Bitcoin survived, and some of these people with the propaganda are now Bitcoin investors; they are investing in Bitcoin because they have come to realize how important Bitcoin can be to them in the future.

In general, Bitcoin has saved the environment from certain things, including theft because it has solve so many financial problems, solved thirdparty problems, and has given room for store of value against inflation.
