Hi All

Just purchased my first S19 after running S9 on/off.

The seller has sent me pics and tye interface/GUI is totally unknown to me!

On my S9/S9i I was running BrainsOS amd I achieved this by flashing via SD card and moving one jumper pin.

Is this the same for the S19?

I  looking to run it underclocked so it would be a specific wattage. Something like 2500w or lower.

Cheers.

No, there's no jumper thing in the S19 control board. If you are going to use Braiins OS on this unit you need the SD card image and burn it into SD card. You can only do that with Balenaetcher or Rufus.

Or follow the guide from here https://academy.braiins.com/en/braiins-os/installation/install/#install-braiins-os-on-s21-or-s19-series

Absolutely brilliant.
I could not find that myself!

From reading it it looks like it dies not actually flash the control board when using the SD card method but 'runs' from it when inserted.
It will return to original FW when SD card is removed.
Is this correct?

I'm going to order a small micro SD card now as all mine are 32/64Gb.

Thanks for the advice.

If you put the card in it will run the gear with brains.

If you pull the card out it will go back to bitmain firmware.

A 16gb or 8 gb card should work

Some 32gb cards work but a lot don’t
