I believe that Bitcoin has already established that it is not merely an experiment yet that it can be a genuine currency that everyone uses across the planet remains questionable nevertheless. The concept is appealing due to its borderlessness and non governmental control but the fact is that it causes fluctuations in prices that by itself makes people afraid to use it on a day to day basis. A majority of the population is not eager to purchase coffee with something that may skyrocket or plummet in the value in hours.Personally Bitcoin is still acting more as digital gold than digital cash. Individuals appear better placed to keep it as a long term store of value instead of spending it. Therewith technology is on the rise and the utilisation of faster layers of payment might eventually alter the usage.

Bitcoin is used as a currency worldwide. And Bitcoin has proven that it can work both ways without any government restrictions. It has many advantages that most people can benefit from. It can be difficult to become a global currency due to government barriers and regulatory constraints. Bitcoin has basically fulfilled the expectations of being a global currency. However, due to various circumstances, it has become very complicated to use it as a regular currency. And Bitcoin has already become a global currency and a global asset. If we ignore government barriers, Bitcoin will already be a currency. And it can be used as a regular currency very easily.

it seems you are very sure about the future, but you are right it won’t happen in our life time and it won’t happen in the next decade because the world and the countries in it will never accept Bitcoin as a global currency because they don’t have control over it, government control there currency and it helps them to control the people in their country. There are some countries in this world that don’t even allow or support citizens to use Bitcoin, their was a time when the government of my country ban cryptocurrency and they were even arresting people that are trading cryptocurrency but now they have stop because they are now regulating it.

Bitcoin is popular in the world we lived in today and none of us would pretend as if bitcoin have not changed our lives for the very best. We have completely nothing to worry about when we have seized our posture and knowing what we know now, we can push harder and win big in the market. When it involves bitcoin been the global currency in the world?, it's never going to beat such allegations because world leaders still valued their currency and wouldn't trade it for anything.

Bitcoin can be making the pump and dump move but when it involves global currency, common it doesn't come close but I do think with time, alot of things would be put in place. Bitcoin is not for the weak and the ealier we realized that, the better.  Gone are those days where people do get to procrastinate bitcoin and saying it's going to dump but today, this project still stands and have made huge effective impacts on the lives of others.

Based on what you have said, that means Bitcoin can not become currency because the government does not allow it, not because Bitcoin itself has a problem. This also means that, if the government allow it or if we ignore them, bitcoin can still be used as a common currency in everyday life.

I have said this before, the problem lies with the government, not with bitcoin. They are the cause and the obstacle. So if we ignore them, Bitcoin would already be a currency.

Governments and banks, my friend. They're the ones who make the rules of the game. Why expect them to abandon Fiat in favor of Bitcoin? That would mean the end of their game for good (which is controlling the economy to their favor). The only reason why banks and governments are investing in Bitcoin is because of the profits they're able to make with it. Not because they believe in decentralization or freedom.

Bitcoin by design, is already a global currency. It can be used anywhere, as long as there's access to the Internet. Even in countries with Internet restrictions (such as China and Russia), people can simply run a Bitcoin Core node through VPN or TOR for complete peace of mind. The network is virtually unstoppable. Let's hope it stays that way forever.

Actually its already happening, we can see as example on what's happening here in forum on which Bitcoin is one of preferable currency used by lots of forum users here.

If you don't see those things happening maybe you are been to much on investment that's why you didn't see the usual situation happening right now. Maybe there's no legal backing since government didn't legalize it yet, but still its good to see that many people used it that's why it gets lots of demands globally.

Have Bitcoin not tried enough to be termed as a global currency? Bitcoin has a spot in global records,that makes it a global currency already,but it's fully not in reach or in touch with alot of people.From the look of things,it has features that makes it a strong global financial tool.So it's a global currency, accessible and traded but needs the universal acceptance.

If you don't see those things happening maybe you are been to much on investment that's why you didn't see the usual situation happening right now. Bitcoin is already heading towards a global currency for any payment, you have given an example from your own friend, but to really get there, that bitcoin is universally used still needs the share of the government, of course at this stage the current government has made concessions in terms of regulation, it's just that they still can't accept bitcoin as a legal tender, it still takes a long time for the possibility of us seeing it happen or not at all, after all bitcoin is decentralized which cannot be controlled by any authority, the main thing that makes the government reluctant to take that step. Maybe it's just wishful thinking for us and bitcoin still remains as an alternative tool or the future will change, let's wait and see in the future.

think the original vision of Bitcoin as a borderless, peer-to-peer currency is still powerful but in practical terms it hasnt fully matured for everyday transactions yet at least some countries and businesses have adopted bitcoin so we are seeing progress. The issues you mentioned; fees, congestion, volatility and limited merchant adoption, these are real barriers especially when people need price stability for daily spending. Personally, I see Bitcoin right now as more of a store of value right now, almost like digital gold as it is commonly refrered to. That said, the space evolves fast, so I wouldntt rule out a future where it plays a bigger transactional role once scalability and volatility concerns are better addressed.
