This dollar cost average is when you buy bitcoin with same amount on a regular basis no matter how the price is, this help in reducing the risk and stress because you don't know the timing of the market instead of  you to be timing the market just be buying little. It must not be a fixed amount though, so far as you can maintain investing within the intervals of your DCA, no matter the amount you invest, it's still DCAing. When you check the definition of DCA from google or AI, they might tell you it's a fixed amount but coming to the forum and learning from knowledgeable bitcoin investors like @JayJuanGee have made me to understand that DCA must not always be a fixed amount, but it depends on your discretionary income each time you needed to invest when the interval of your DCA approaches.

In as much as I get your point I think the points here isn’t well placed and my reason is that what people actually placed as the disadvantage of DCA is that if one gets to buy at a one go at lower price it is actually more better than buying at an average and that’s what you are trying to explain. But i usually say this actually takes a higher chance to happen except the DCA isn’t over stretched.

For like your example it is possible you would actually be buying at very high price in 2022 while all my average might be lower because of maybe I was able to get to buy at a discount price each time of my DCA so even the disadvantage isn’t spontaneous

The only relevant questions I fin here are these, every other ones are questions you can easily find answers to if you go through the thread yiu saw people talking about the concept of dollar cost average.

The only time you can think of dollar cost average having a disadvantage is when you're thinking to DCA for a very short time and then sell off. If you do so, you're indirectly putting yourself at a fix where you get to sell at a DIp and loose in the process.  Dollar cost average is a good idea for both beginners and old investors and as for it usefulness in today's market,.it's certainly still relevant both at the present and in the future.

Dollar cost average (DCA), well with the little knowledge I have gotten from the high rank members here concerning the DCA, I noticed that the DCA is a strategy that helps folks to accumulate as much as they can by doing it consistently. The DCA also minimize risk it also helps investors to stay positive during the dip. however I don't see any disadvantage of buying Bitcoin through the DCA rather, I must say that it is more recommended than every other method more especially for beginners.
