Why there is Bias!

A discussion sparked with my girl recently about why women always been accountable for everything, for example if someone goes into affiar the woman is accused of wrongdoing more compared to men but both are doing the same thing and choose to be in a relationship while cheating their partners. The same thing goes for every scenario when both genders are involved in that matter, she asked why? And why always women...

Honestly I lost my argument there and didn't know what to reply so let's discuss about it here and if you were in that situation what would you have replied?

It has been so since onset because in the olden days, a man can marry as many wives as possible but a woman can't. That gave man the chance and advantage to cheat and not to be seen as something that bad compared to when a woman does it. A woman cannot marry more than one man. If you observe in the new testament, part of Jesus Christ test was the adulterous woman whom they wanted to stone to death before they met Jesus but she committed adultery with a man. Where was the man.

This is not new about men, in many culture men are allowed to marry more than one wife , more especially in many African culture. As a woman, cheating on your husband is an abomination except while still in friendship. In many culture, more especially in Africa if a man's wife shows any attitude of infidelity or cheat on the husband, the man has the full authority to divorce the woman, the reason is because, the man paid her bride price and the woman has left her own home to the husband's home permanently, so automatically the woman belongs to the man.

Some times, I use to see some women trying to exercise thesame authority with men or their husband, some would say because their husband has cheated on them , therefore they would also cheat on their husband. God made woman to be under a man and did not give women thesame authority with men. In African culture, if a woman is found guilty of cheating on the husband for which ever reason, the man must not eat her food or have any intercourse with the woman else, the man will die unless some traditional right would be performed before the man can live, but if a man cheats on his wife, both the man and the woman are free even without performing any traditional right.

If there is anything, women, and accountability do not rhyme at all.

Let me give you an example. If your woman get you cheating on her. You will be accused of how you are a monster, how you hurt her feelings, how you wasted her time, how you are a despicable being, and you will have to suck it up and accept. Now, let it be the reverse, and you ask her why she was cheating, do you what she will most likely say? That you didn't have time for her, or you didn't care about her feelings, etc. They will never admit the actual thing but will push the blame.

Naturally, a male animal or being tends to have multiple partners vs. a female counterpart. That the rule of nature. Just look around and you will notice it.

Men are providing for the women, the woman will suck from the man's hard work but they do not want the men to cheat. Will they prefer Islam that men can marry 3 or 4 wives if the man can take care of them all?

By nature, men are supposed to cheat. Men are mammals. See how male mammals that are animals do not stay with a single female mammals. Unlike birds, men are not aves.

If a woman see his husband cheat and not leave him, likely they see the husband having value, providing money for the family.
A wife may divorce her husband if she thinks she can live good life without the husband. We have seen that. Women stay because they have something they are gaining from the men that they think people outside may not give them.

Why some women are tired of their husband? According to Oppenheimer movie as an example which is a true life story, Oppenheimer wife left her ex-husband to marry Oppenheimer. Because her ex-husband is old. Nothing to gain from her ex-husband as Oppenheimer was proposing to her.

Have you not seen a women that is just looking for excuse to leave her husband? Even the man did not cheat, she left. This is happening.

Women are complex but not hard to understand. If they are benefiting something, so they do not leave you.

Men cheat but they still satisfy their women but if a woman is cheating, she can not satisfy her man, she will always complain that she is tired. This is in their nature.

Women are not to cheat by nature.

Why women are always hold accountable for everything is that women are meant to be the pillar of the home and if anything goes wrong they will blame it on the woman. Even in the bible in Proverbs 14:1, it says The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down. Meaning that a woman is responsible for taking care of the home that's why when things go wrong they blame the woman because she has %90 chance to make her man not misbehave expecialy when she give him peace of mind. But aside that tradition demand that a man is free to do whatever that pleases him including taking another wife or even cheat but the woman is not allowed because a woman can not marry more than one husband. Doing that will automatically pull her out of the house.

Secondly a man is like a God to a woman and she has no question for the man on how he does his own thing. A wife is like a servant which should be loyal at all cost to the Master regardless of how the master behave. If the servant tries to challenge the master that means that she will be replaced. So wife should not contend with the lord being the husband no matter what. Because the man is the king and kings are not challenged.

From what we are being told, men are polygamous in nature. They are ones who the society doesn't give much consideration on, compare to the women who the society expect them to be on good behavior at all times because of the responsibility that is placed on them, to take care of the family.

A man can go ahead to flirt with a woman for just fun and to satisfy their urge. For women it is not so, there is to be love and connection before a woman would open their legs for a man.

Why were you speechless when she asked the question? Dont you take care of her? Provide in all ramifications (shelter, food, and buy things she wants). Most women can't do the same for you in a week, talk more of years you've been doing those things willingly without complaining. Women need to know their priorities in life, they are meant to stick to one man, provided that he takes care of them.

I think a lot of this comes from long-standing social conditioning. For centuries, societies placed moral responsibility on women while excusing men as “naturally flawed” or “unable to control themselves.” That mindset is yet to disappear just that it recent years, it has become quieter. So when both genders do the same wrong thing, judgment still falls harder on women even though the responsibility is equal. You should tell her that it's a natural phenomenon and you can't do much to totally change it.

From my own view this thing has become the onset and the reason why women are been blamed more isn't because they're the one who who wrong more in relationship but because the society has build this impression and standards of men and women are entirely different because men have this believe that it's in there nature if they cheating while in the case of the women they are being judged harshly because of how high the expectations are on them sexually, socially and sexually.

If it's where to be me on this kind of situation I would have replied and said that everyone has it's decision or choice to make, and I will also say both gender should carry their responsibilities because cheating isn't a gender thing, holding women accountable it's  like conditioning them and not being fair. Until actions is judged instead of gender this thing called double standards won't stop but rather it will continue.

Because women have the power of seduction through femininity, fragility, kindness, sweetness much more than men. Women are more persuasive than men. Even the original sin entered the world through a woman, Eve, who seduced Adam to taste the forbidden fruit. You don't have to consider it a literal story, but even by understanding the abstract and archetypical meaning of the event you will be able to identify something like that.

It's women who dictate the level of decency and purity of the world. An evolved and admirable woman will improve the quality of the environment where she is inserted. A loving and caring woman can touch the deepest essence in the heart of a man and connect him to the happiest and most peaceful frequencies of the universe.

I am not sure I got your point, but if that is in the sense like you are saying the big companies or whoever is controlling wants the bias to exist then only they can use it to make money. For example they promote feminism to sell their products just like what they do with veganism, etc?

Here in Latin America it is culturally tolerable for men to have affairs with women, but women having affairs is something very frown upon.

I would tell you to discuss the issue of fake rape accusations with your girlfriend, the comparison of what happens when a man accused a woman of rape, versus when a woman accuses a man of being a rapist, there is a clear double standard in favor of women when comes to rape, and thus why there are so many men becoming victims of false accusations around the world.

There are differents ideology to this, i suggest you stick to the one you believed in. I think it is both sided and same query should be given to both sides, if the man or the woman cheats. Cheating is cheating, but we do have chronic cheaters, and a few cases where the man or woman got lost of themselves, in such cases, there is not supposed to be a soft side for a man and neglect the woman, every human is built emotionally and we all have imperfections.

I frown on being biased to the women, only because men sees themselves as providers, isn't enough right they have, relationships is about commitment, and most men go ahead to marry women who would completely rely on their resources so they can have this ideology as a shield for having affairs outside their relationship.

Alright, I've got to understand the argument better now.
Tell her, theoretically, men are the stronger sex, and women are meant to be submissive in all ways. However, I am someone who believes in complementary roles. As a man i choose to lead while my woman should support, if anything goes wrong, both parties should take the blame. Each party has to play its own role, and no one will be blamed for it. A gender should be blamed when they do not play their role.

 Am just a newbie but honestly, I think women get blamed more because society has always placed the responsibility of morality and self-control on women, not men. For a long time, men were excused for bad behavior and women were expected to ‘know better.’ So when cheating happens, people subconsciously look at the woman as the one who should have stopped it, even though the man made the same choice. It’s not that women are more guilty. It’s that people are quicker to excuse men and harsher on women. A man cheats and people say he messed up. A woman cheats and people question her character, her upbringing, even her worth. That double standard didn’t start today — it’s something society has normalized for generations. The truth is, accountability should be equal. Cheating isn’t a gender issue, it’s a personal decision. When both people knowingly do the same thing, they deserve the same level of responsibility. The fact that they don’t just shows bias, not truth.

There is no better answer to this question rather than tracing of the past and history on how this thing operate from origin which has made many culture to have some tide where women committing such act is punishable by the society or idle of the community, or deity's. Naturally the weight of fornication or adultery is more heavier when committed by women man is seen as minor, this is not properly defined by some culture, though not everything that exist, seems right but it's right based on how it's originated and control by powers that been, mo matter how women seen influential in taken the place of man in financial support and otherwise there is certain areas of man that equalities in operation may be considered abbamination or condemnable as it's originally considered abnormal before the gender.

I agree with you both sex have what the public favor each of them on. The moment a lady raises a rape alarm, no one will think she's lying or not, they would believe her immediately, especially when there's no prove that the man didn't do it. I don't think that's only in Latin America that when a man cheats, they see it like a norm because it's same in Africa.
