Yes, will report those details, happy to share.

The communication so far over Simplex has been good, the card was posted today, and I have the Fedex tracking details.  Should arrive in a week or so I guess.

The card arrived today.  It came with a letter which said to visit a link, which lead to a bunch of questions (name etc).  I contacted support on Simplex and was told that they fill in that part.  So I just confirmed my email (for 2FA) and the last 4 numbers of the card.

The card is Mastercard and there is no name - just a card number and valid-to.  It has security chip / contactless, and looks otherwise like a regular card.

Awaiting next steps from support.

Thanks for the update - can you tell me how long the card is valid for and if you have to pay the same amount again after that if you want to continue using it or do you have to order a new one? Regarding ATM usage, even though they say the fee is 0%, watch out for what will be shown on the screen if you withdraw cash, because some banks offer automatic conversion, which they charge a lot of money for.

The valid-to is in 2029, not sure about the renewal fee

About the ATM taking a fee, understood, this is not in the control of the card provider and applies to all cards

Also, I have news:

- the card works in the ATM (not every ATM though).  I tried two ATMs and it worked in one (in a shop) but not the other (in a bank)
 - the card works in all the ATMs I have tried (one didn't work initially, but checked today and it's working now, with a high limit as well)
 - the card works for payments, with contactless also
 - topups are easy, and the support is fast
 - support is over Simplex Chat.  For those who do not care about privacy or security, they apparently provide service over Telegram as well.

So far, very happy, and if things are still good in a month or two I'll be ordering another one for my wife.

@goblintester, thanks for the info.

I was tempted to take a risk and get the card, but it's a good thing I looked at the list of banned countries because the one I live in is on there. For some reason known only to them, they have banned several countries from the EU because they pose the same risk as North Korea, Russia or Yemen Roll Eyes

Is there any printing on card with goblin branding, or it's just a blank card?
I don't want to jinx anything for you, but I doubt this card will survive and be active in 2029, and I think it is very risky to pay $350 fee two times for another card.
It sucks that many countries in Europe and other parts of the world are on restricted list, that means you probably can't use your card if you travel there:

Huh, I am very surprised to see Croatia on the restricted list, and even more to see Slovenia on the list as well since both countries are in EU (another 2 EU countries on the list are Romania and Bulgaria) and generally have decent crypto regulations.

I wonder what exactly cause this stance.

Considering that all other ex-yu countries are on the list, maybe someone thinks that Yugoslavia still exists Roll Eyes

The reason is something else, supposedly these EU countries and some others are on the banned list because they used to be on this list, so even though they are no longer there (except for Bulgaria and Monaco) it seems like it takes time for someone to do their job and refresh the list.

Yeah that is strange, and they also have Monaco and Romania there.
If someone is serious about purchasing this card I would suggest talking directly with their support and confirming this list.
It's possible they just use some generic list of risky countries that is not updated, but I would like this to be clarified.
