Barrios didn’t look particularly impressive in his bout with the legendary Manny Pacquiao, but he managed to salvage a draw and keep the belt. Meanwhile, Garcia is coming off a loss to Rolly Romero, which adds intrigue to this matchup.

I’d go with Ryan Garcia in this one. From what I see, Mario Barrios doesn’t really have that killer punch. If Garcia is serious about this fight, his power alone could be a big problem for Barrios. Garcia is also tall, so he can pressure Barrios and stop him from relying too much on jabs, similar to how Barrios fought Manny Pacquiao. If Garcia can close the distance and stay aggressive, this could swing in his favor.

I’m definitely interested in the betting odds for this fight.
Hopefully Garcia ends up as the underdog, that would make it even more worth taking.

I haven’t confirmed if it’s already listed on my bookie, but based on that, it looks like you won’t really get great value for your money. Even though Ryan Garcia isn’t the champion, he’s being listed as a heavy favorite, so the return doesn’t look that attractive.

I’d go with Ryan Garcia in this one. From what I see, Mario Barrios doesn’t really have that killer punch. If Garcia is serious about this fight, his power alone could be a big problem for Barrios. Even though I’m rooting for Ryan Garcia to win, I still have doubts, mainly about his discipline. In his last fight, he was also a heavy favorite but ended up losing badly to Rolando Romero. That fight honestly felt like a mismatch in the wrong way. So yeah, I want Garcia to win, but I can’t say I’m confident. There’s just too many question marks around him right now, particularly about his mental health.

I think that statement says it all.  Garcia has been doing a lot of messing around on social media lately.  I'm not sure he's locked in enough to win a fight.  Maybe he'll have a quick training camp and handle business, but I'm not sure how committed he is to boxing these days.

I think the odds are great and I think I will go on with Ryan Garcia too, not only he's young and fast but he has a lethal left hook which could knock Mario Barrios. However, based on previous match of Barrios, we know that he's has a size and reach advantage which if he effectively utilize it, it can be a problem for Garcia, also Barrios doesn't engage recklessly especially in early rounds, he tries to drain his opponent first before attacking him if he can survive Ryan Garcia's early power shots and left hook, momentum might shifts to him but we don't know what kind of preparation Garcia will undergo so we can't really tell.

If Barrios can dodge the power punch of Ryan, then maybe he will have a good chance to win if he can rough up Ryan and make his uncomfortable in the fight. Just like hit him and then go and embrace, but it could be a long and boring fight if that is Barrios strategies.

This is the difference between both fighters. Ryan has natural talent and Barrios does not. Barrios is tough and can grind out a decision against good fighters, but he is never going to look spectacular. His style is always to come forward and take a lot of punches. He is going to be an easy target for Ryan. He also doesn’t have the strength or knockout power of Rolly, so Ryan will have more confidence against him.

If Ryan can do what worked for him in the Haney fight, then he can win comfortably. Wasn’t that win linked to PEDs though? If I’m not mistaken, it was nullified, so honestly I don’t really count that as a legit win.

Eyes are already on him now. If he can actually impress against Barrios , even if it’s not on Haney’s level, then maybe I’ll start trusting him.
