Is the end of no-KYC casinos inevitable as governments chase gambling revenue?

In most region people are not allowed to gamble freely anymore, this is not new besides I came across a thread relating to government regulation and if proper care is not taken the government might stop gambling activity. This depends basically other governments make money from gambling tax in order to take care of other situations according to what’s said meanwhile gamblers no longer gamble freely again, gambling restriction has been for long which I find disturbing probably after now we might get another rule with difficult term. Casinos with no KYC are numerous besides not all country sees gambling activity as a threat or a source of revenue and the KYC option is mostly avoided by most gamblers.

I totally disagree with you regarding what you just said above on a general scale regarding gambling. Because considering how the gambling industry is more lucrative this days, government would rather choose to regulate it, rather than stop gambling entirely, most especially if the casino operates within it's jurisdiction and have been generating quite a huge sum from game plays.

Certainly, with government's increasing interest on the revenue generated from the gambling industry, I have no doubt that it is likely to have a crackdown on Non-KYC casinos, since non KYC casinos are casinos that operate without an official license, exists on its own without been regulated, whereby gamblers can just register, deposit/withdraw and start gambling without needing to undergo KYC. And since government won't be able to tax on it, and as such threaten to either shut it down or accept been regulated. But however, it's watch out how it's going to be.

Personally, I expect that the continued growth of the gambling industry and its increasing "legitimacy" in the eyes of governments is not in the best interest of privacy-conscious gamblers, as it means less privacy, more restrictions, and a limited selection of casinos that don't require KYC or AML.

This is quite similar to centralized exchanges, which initially proliferated without KYC but, once they began obtaining legal licenses from governments, started imposing KYC and other stringent restrictions that violate user privacy.

Here I will mention one thing that if you want to get something, you have to make some sacrifices and in this case if you play games in a non-kyc or KYC mandatory casino then you may not get the best features but you will not get it at all on a gambling site. This is not the case in this bitcointalk forum. There are many casinos that are providing their services without putting much pressure on KYC verification. However, those are not top class casinos or we often consider it risky to stake high amounts on them.

Casinos without KYC haven't completely disappeared, but the risks are quite high, these platforms are usually new or not yet popular, which makes them less reliable. In the end, the choice is ours. If you don't want to sacrifice your privacy, you can gamble at a non KYC casino. However if you prefer to play comfortably while accepting certain regulations, KYC casinos are a better choice. This is not to say in their favor, but reflecting the reality of the current era, any platform related to money and profit is bound to be regulated by the government.

Gambling restriction is not general, I meant a specific thread I came across here concerning Philippine government wanting to ban gambling activity. Gambling activity has been a major issue for most region and not all governments are interested in tax or revenue rather they think banning gambling will help the citizens more basically addicted gamblers who are lost. Wish to through more light on this issue whereby governments claim all kinds of right restricting gambling activity obviously we’ve seen government shutdown casinos including organization and in return a little compensation but, very rare.

I think players should have the option to choose if they want to use casinos without strict KYC verification rules.
Standard casinos with fiat currencies and strict KYC existed for very long time and they will always be here, but crypto casinos should be a different story.
I want to see developers making more options for decentralized casinos, and there is market for that.

It’s always both but getting tax to all money generated services such as casino is always the top priority. You can feel the real protection from government like US, EU region and other rich country but on 3rd world country this protection is always questionable.

In general, regulation was imposed to fight against money laundering, protect user from irregularities from casino and get tax for revenue.

It wouldn’t be good for us as gamblers who prioritize privacy. Maybe right now we think that one day we will be required to do KYC just to gamble, but I have always believed that there will still be casinos without KYC that we can find. The problem is that casinos without KYC probably will not last long, because they will inevitably lose competition to regulated casinos. In the end, most people do not really care about privacy and will go through KYC just to be able to bet at their preferred casino.
