Why not just solo-mine on a coin like this? I don't think a pool is necessary until mining matures to a certain level.

This project was abandoned by the developer.

That is way too fast in my opinion but this coin doesn't have a lot of originality. At any rate, you have to at least ride this bear market out and go through one more bull market before you pack it in.

you think i should continue? like me to continue mining?

there must be something original about bitmonero, what would you say that is different?

I mean you can add features down the line that are unique but usually at launch you should have 1-2 things that make you different so bootstrapping is easier.

Bitmonero doesn't have a hidden schedule in the emission curve, . Bitmonero has a verifiable proof of start

That's what the founder of bitmonero said to me and that the bitmonero code can be verified by analysing the code

Here is what the founder of bitmonero said to me:

BitMonero is Monero source code + Bitcoin Tokenomics and Fair Start via uknown genesis nonce.
Everyone who dig into Monero will find that Monero has hidden halving each 1.4years and hardcoded genesis nonce opened the door to mine before actual start date. Genesis TimeStamp is 0.

# BITMONERO IS LIVE since 16 of Jan 2026

# BitMonero = Bitcoin scarcity × Monero privacy.
Hard cap. Halvings. RandomX. Real fungibility.
0 premine. 0 instamine. 0 dev tax. No ICO.

# Respect to Monero — privacy king.
But Monero's economics are a different:
• NO hard cap (tail emission never ends)
• “No halvings” on paper… yet the CryptoNote smooth-emission formula makes rewards decay fast anyway
(it’s an *effective halving rhythm* ~ every ~1.4 years — quietly, continuously)
• And early on it was even faster-paced: Monero launched with ~1-minute blocks (Apr 2014),
then switched to 2-minute blocks at fork v2 (2016-03-22).

The result is front-loaded distribution:
By 2018-04-08 Monero already had 15,908,693 XMR mined —
~86% of today’s ~18,446,744 XMR supply.

# BitMonero says: no curve games. No hidden schedule.
# 21,000,000 cap + clear halvings + a verifiable fair start line.

# Don’t trust. Verify. Mine.

I'm going in a completely different direction with the project I am working on. The block reward will basically be adaptive in nature to price, but using an endogenous metric that has a high correlation coefficient. Halving events and fixed supply create serious economic distortions that render Bitcoin and others like it unusable for day-to-day usage. Of course, you need some safety aspects tied to a subsidy algorithm like this, otherwise you could have something run away uncontrollably.

Interesting. Which project are you working with?

The secret kind for now. I'm still making consensus changes. The subsidy itself will be a tough one given all the math needs to be deterministic and its also overall a long algo with a fair amount of moving pieces. I probably have 2-3 months of work before testnet would be up.

this is the list of all currently available bitmonero centralized mining pool, where you can connect your miner, start mining and earning coins:

https://pool.rplant.xyz/#bitmonero#connect

https://bitmonero.hash3030.xyz/

https://bitmonero.powcartel.com/

https://idpool.id/#market

im still going to support the original founders bitmonero network, by mining bitmonero coins, (which the founder first started)

because it has all the original legacy technology of the old bitcoin and monero code

everything about it feels right

when you do have youre bitmonero fork ready, i will add youre coin to my collection by mining

i will continue to mine the orignal founders bitmonero and i will also mine youre fork bitmonero2 coins aswell

and if there are any other fork coins from other groups i may also add them to my collection if i like those coins

anyways im excited to hear back from you in the future and i will look out for you

Sure thing, cool (:

Thanks for the hint

Should I look out for this project of yours in the forum announcement page?

Or could you leave me with some details or the name of the project to me in a private message before you reveal the secrets

Yes the consensus changes are important which is the main design of a cryptocurrency and I would think that mathematics plays a big role in shaping everything. Moving pieces? Like a clockwork I guess

2-3 months I'm interested (:

the original/official founders bitmonero wallet software can be found here:

BitMonero GUI Wallet v0.1.0-alpha.1 (Windows x64)
https://github.com/BitMoneroNet/bitmonero-gui/releases/tag/v0.1.0-alpha.1

if your having trouble seeing your current balance, heres the fix:
go to 'settings' then to the 'info' tab, then finally you will see 'wallet restore height' then click change and set it to '0', it will now then rescan from block 0. and you should be able to see all your current balance updated

this is a list of centralized exchanges that bitmonero is listed on:

https://trade.nestex.one/spot/BMR

https://klingex.io/trade/BMR-USDT

https://anonex.io/market/BMR_USDT
