To me, it is glaring that the US government is out to help Nigeria in fighting insurgency and curb security challenges in the country, and I think it  will be in collaboration with the federal government of Nigeria lead by the Nigeria president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

It's a very good development if thr US has supplied Nigeria with military equipment to help Nigeria fight thr insecurity in thr country. I think it's a very good one, because this insurgency has really affected the nation so much and has made the citizens live in fear.  Nigeria used to be a very peaceful country,  but this insurgency has really changed everything in the country and I will really be happy if the US are genuinely interested in helping us fight this insurgency,  so we can have our peaceful country again. This is a good news, but the thing is will it be used to fight the terrorist?. The USA has been providing aids for Nigeria for a long time now but it doesn't reflect at all. Alot of money has been given to Nigeria, instead the leaders embezzles it. It  seems the leaders are happy with the way the country is fighting terrorism and insurgency, as long they are getting Aids for WHO and top countries. Nigeria has the capacity to wipe out these terrorists but they don't want to end it for because of personal gains.  The problems of this country are caused by these leaders most of them sponsors these terrorism of a thing. The people that EFCC and DSS caught, who were funding these terrorists are not yet punished, I know they will surely get bailed due to our poor system of law. I hope they use the supply well this time.

The issue of insecurities in this country got me worried at times, sometimes i wonder if our governments love the killing that has been happening in this country, at time we need to put pride away and call for help if possible let US military be in this country for sometimes

Frankly speaking we're living in fear in this country not even that Nigeria can't afford to get those equipment needed, but the issue there's the governments itself has hands in What's going on in this country they all knows who's involved. If we're living in peace i don't think US will supply us military equipments to fight insecurities.

It’s a welcomed development, and very commendable, just that i will have preferred Nigeria government just grant the US permission to handle it themselves rather than give our soldiers the aide, my reason is because from the previous turn out of events it looks clear that our military is infiltrated and have been compromised, so most of the informations leak at times, I have heard several cases whereby intelligence is sold out to this terrorist and they end up ambushing and killing our soldiers, and there are also rumors that most politicians has a hand in the whole insecurity, to them it’s a way of making money through security votes etc, so i feel if this aides are supplied some of this selfish politicians/service chiefs can divert them and use it to aid the terrorist.

If truely they want this terrorism to end firstly the Nigerian government must stop any form of negotiations with terrorist because once you settle a terrorist you are invariably encouraging others to do same, secondly if this insecurity will stop Nigerian government should allow US intervention, see the way the US took them unaware that’s the way to go, before they wake up the US government would have destroyed most of their camps and majority of them will flee, but if you allow Nigeria to handle it just by supporting them with aides just be ready for politics and drama, because even when they want to attack the terrorist they will first announce it on Tv an the terrorist will be aware and flee, so far the corruption in Nigeria hasn’t allowed our soldiers to successfully tackle the insecurity, however, let’s observe the turn out of things since US is ready to aide us, i do hope things will change and peace will return to Nigeria.

Is it not shameful that a country that calls themselves the giant of Africa is finding it difficult to combat insurgency with the level we are we were the ones that other nearby countries would have called upon for support but because our government are using the insurgency to make money they sit back and watch terrorist kill innocent citizens. The US sending in their military support is applauding and I commend the US president Donald Trump for coming to our aids once more.

I doubt if the US military can take full control of the situation in Nigeria because our politicians who have been sponsoring insurgency and have been using it to make money, they will plant snitches amongst the military that will be leaking informations to the bandits, this is Nigeria and we all know the extent this politicians can go just to achieve their goals, Tinubu was able to send jet fighters to Benin Republic in an twinkle of an eye but yet unable to safe his country from bandits, does that made any sense?, this is to say that they know what they are doing.

This is indeed a welcomed development. Considering the high rate of insecurity challenge that Nigeria is facing, emanating from various terrorist groups, it is important we seek the assistance of stronger nation to help us out. Peace is very important, and any nation that is being terrorized will hardly record substantial growth, and that is exactly what Nigeria have been passing through since terrorism started in Nigeria. No doubt that countries can't survive without supporting each other in military and others, but the situation in Nigeria is very bad, no Government negotiate with bandits or terrorists the way Nigeria is doing, so we all agreed that the government are fueling the crisis by giving ransom to rescue victims instead of using the money to strengthen the security agencies to be able to wipe the terrorists.

That's true because if the weapon aren't closely monitored, saboteurs in the military may send some these weapons to terrorists. They are allegations that some military generals are complicit and are harbouring terrorists because they are benefiting from the security votes and the US government knows them but hadn't done anything yet to sanction them. The tucano jets that were sold to us by the US was to combat terrorism but uptill the date those tucano jets hasn't been used to bombard terrorist den in our forest so what's the point of supplying more weapons when the ones they have sold to our government hasn't been used against terrorist. The point,the US government should pressure our government to start using previous recive military weapons like the tucano jets to combat terrorists.

Nigeria is a country that is full of disgrace, and the US President, Donald.J Trump  have said that Nigerian is a disgrace, now that we have seen everything that is happening in Nigeria, with the insecurity happening in Nigeria right now we all know that, everything that is happening in this country is all Politics, and having this supply available doesn’t change anything for us, because Nigeria Military doesn’t have a very good Combat Training program, so I don’t really understand what this supplies are going to do for the military in Nigeria, there was a bomb blast in Maiduguri in different locations and there was absolutely nothing the military or the Government could do about the situation after getting all the Weapons and ammunition and Military supplies from US forces.

Only Ourselves can save Nigeria from Terrorist, and we have to be careful and be responsible for our own Security.
