It kind of reminds me when the Venezuelan Bolivar also was tagged as worthless by Google back in 2021-2022. In that occasion our FIAT currency was being exchanged at a rate of millions of Bolivars for a single dollar. People lost track of the prices and started to tag all good and services in Dollars instead of local currency. I am not informed of the whole situation in Iran, but I assume that the average Iranian citizen does not have within their priorities to buy Bitcoin or other assets, as there are literally people getting killed in their streets.
Anyways, we all can do is hoping for the best and not more innocent people get killed because they want a better country for them and their children.
Hoping for all the best for them as well.. People truly prioritize their life and security first, we cannot invest if we are not sure in the next day to come, or if it comes at all...

I think that people still reflect on how to preserve what they have earned, despite the fact that there may be deadly danger around them, life has to go on regardless. Especially when there are children and no possibility to evacuate, the fact that the situation is extremely stressful does not cancel responsibility. If there are people who are already informed and know how to do this, especially when it is directly promoted by the authorities, many will move to cryptocurrencies simply because they do not really have much of a choice.

If the citizens of Iran could quickly take advantage of bitcoin investment, the earlier the better, because as it falls to this extent, it may not rise again as before because the economy has already been distorted, bitcoin is the way out, if they all invest, they will stand a chance of being profitable, and not only that, they can make more money while holding as the value in bitcoin increases for them to have more of their local currency when converted.

I agree with the earlier the better part, but these people need help now. And it won't come from BTC by any chance in the coming days or months even if they do so..

Well i understand your plight here, because the tension there right now is even about how each one of them could survived the situation first before the calm and then further go into whatever decision they think could be the best for them to choose, how can there be peace from within when there is crisis everywhere, maybe after the whole thing has been intervened, people will see more reason to why they should have more secured assets like bitcoin in situations like this, i cant imagine the loss of lives and properties already wasted at the cause, what do you think is the way out currently?.

The ambition of the country's leaders to become a nuclear power is being blamed for today's situation. The world's powerful countries see the attitude that whatever they want should happen in the world they do not tolerate any decision that contradicts it. For countries subordinate to US, prosperity and going beyond their decisions means financial ruin. The depreciation of Iran's fiat against the dollar is alarming and they are almost isolated from the world financially. In this context, the ordinary people of that country are fighting for economic progress and they want their right to live well. The Iranian government has still suspended the execution of hundreds of protesters at the request of Trump, but a sustainable decision is needed for peace where the lives of ordinary people are safe and children can be given a safe and liveable world.

I wouldn't be saying something about the country that I didn't live in at all, but from I've heard - I wouldn't want to in the first place. Not talking about culture and so on, but about what may happen there. The way out for the peeps would be to have the education and capabilities to work remotely, have a good wage not tied to the gov that may go into the down spiral we see in this case, and leave it the moment they are ready to, if they want to and accept such a fact, that's my view on it.

The real solution for Iran is a regime change. Iran has been defeated in world politics because of its nuclear ambitions. Despite its vast oil reserves, its citizens are living in poverty. It is isolated from the world. Russia and China will not come to their rescue. The result of America efforts to destroy Iran financially is the collapse of its currency. The process of isolating Iran from every payment gateway in the world has long been successful.
Trump recent announcements will put Iran under even more pressure. He has announced that he will impose a 25% tariff on all countries that trade with Iran effective immediately.
People that has money and wealth in Iran that are smart would have move their money out of the banks and by Bitcoin and other set. The government has failed it's people and what I don't understand about this regime is the fact that riot and protest has been going on for long period of time, the government don't need to be told they are not needed again, time to pack out and let people decide again but I forgot Iran doesn't abide by rule of law, just anyhow country. I will love to see what America did to Venezuela is replicated to Iran, I see abused of human right, poverty increase and lack of development despite the oil money generated but maybe the US fear them than they do with some countries that doesn't have allies. It's either they allow a change of government and let people decide or leave the house. This Tarrif thing that Donald Trump is trying to impose on them might not have any significant effects on them.

If you look at the development of the crypto ecosystem in Iran, it is experiencing significant growth, especially when Iran experiences political turmoil from 2023, most Iranians begin to invest their money in cryptocurrencies. It shows that there are some Iranians who realize that their country's currency is so fragile and at any time its value can turn to zero, so storing their wealth in crypto is the right solution to maintain the value of their assets in the future. But unfortunately only some are aware of it, while others stick to their currencies that have no value. https://www.chainalysis.com/blog/iranian-crypto-activity-geopolitical-tensions-2026/

A few groups have been in power in Iran for a long time. They have isolated the people from the rest of the world. They should have abandoned their arrogance and developed relations with every country in the world. If the mineral resources in their country can be utilized properly, the country can improve a lot financially. The law enforcement agencies in that country have been tightened to deal with the riots. Internet services are still shut down across the country. If this situation continues, the economic situation in that country may deteriorate further. What is happening with Venezuela will not be possible so easily because they have military capabilities. Although Iran's financial situation is bad, it has made considerable progress in the military sector. Trump's tariff policy on countries related to Iran will make them more vulnerable. Iran is selling its products at much lower prices than the market price and its economy is likely to deteriorate further.

I don't live in Iran but I feel it is like extremely wrong by leading the nation with centralized governannce and lead the whole nation to human disasters. Whatever they consider themselves as Supreme Leaders or even anything else, if they lead the nation to happiness, wealth and freedom, they are good leaders, but it's not what happened in Iran. So the man who is a supreme leader in Iran simply did all these things for his individual and family benefit while he does not care about normal Iranians. Therefore, big changes in Iran need to be done by whatever ways inside and outside support. What is happening with Venezuela will not be possible so easily because they have military capabilities. The same with Venezuela and it's clearly that Nicholas Maduro did not lead that nation to success for their people. He only cares about himself and fearful to step down and give the people their human rights and freedom. Agree with Trump, support Trump, hate him or not, it's another different thing but both Iran and Venezuela need entire changes in their nations.

You make a solid point about the regime's track record, but let's pump the brakes on calling Bitcoin some miracle solution here. I get the appeal-decentralization, escaping hyperinflation, all that jazz-but where's the proof Iranians are actually flocking to it? Between internet blackouts, banking restrictions, and just... daily survival, how many ordinary people realistically have the bandwidth or resources to dive into crypto? Even if they did, the volatility's brutal. Bitcoin's sitting at $94k now, which feels more like a "meh" market than a panic rush. Remember how Venezuela's crisis barely moved the needle for crypto adoption? Or how El Salvador's Bitcoin push fizzled? History shows that in real-world crises, crypto's rarely the first resort. Most folks need basics like food and cash, not speculative assets. Plus, with $94k buy-ins, it's not exactly accessible to the average person scraping by. Show me the on-chain spikes, the peer-to-peer volume, or the grassroots adoption-then we'll talk. Until then? It's just hype.

Political and economic state in Iran are now very hard as small and powerful groups have shut out nation from rest of world by failing to use huge mineral and oil stores country has to grow. Government is currently using very harsh laws and damaging internet blocking to stop nationwide protests, making economy even worse and making people unable to share information. Although it has powerful military that protects it unlike other nations facing trouble such as Venezuela, its economic health is failing as it is forced to sell its products at low prices to last through penalties. Also, new United States rules that put heavy taxes on any nation that trades with Iran are further making it harder for power of country to get better or even do business in international area.

It appears that the Polymarket trader was very much mistaken and lost $40k hehehehe. However, does this imply that America will not use their military on Iran? It would be headshaking to speculate that there will be no military action on Iran. This will certainly happen this year. The White House says “all options remain on the table” for the United States to take military action against Iran, reiterating that Tehran would face “grave consequences” if the killings of antigovernment protesters continue.
During a news conference on Thursday, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said US President Donald Trump and his team had communicated to Iran that “if the killing continues, there will be grave consequences”.Read in full https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2026/1/15/us-says-all-options-on-the-table-if-iran-protest-killings-continue
The tense relationship between Iran and the US has lasted for decade, and the US intention to bring about regime change in Iran has been pursued by many president, not just Trump. But decades have passed and no American president has managed to do that Therefore, I doubt that Trump will achieve anything Iran is not like Iraq or Venezuela, they are not easily intimidated. Furthermore, Russia and China will not stand idly by while the US seeks to overthrow the regime in Iran, because losing Iran would significantly weaken their positions. So let's see what happens this year.
