Hi,
I  posted on  another  thread  how  I  lost a  lot of  cash  on  bitcoin  in  2019  over many months
and  saw  my  money  disappear

now  I  have a  phone call   and  the  lady  tells me  I  now  have a substantial  sum
in   the  blogchain..  I  need to  do  certain  things  to  recover  the money

here is   the  basic  procedure....

To reactivate your account and receive your funds, please complete the following two steps:

Step 1: Verify your identity to confirm that you are the legitimate owner of this account.
Step 2: Connect your Bitcoin account to your bank account, where the funds will be transferred.

Once both steps are completed successfully, your account will be reactivated.

Subject: Required Steps to Complete Account Connection and Funds Transfer

Dear Client,

To proceed with the reactivation of your account and the transfer of your Bitcoin funds, please carefully follow the steps outlined below.
Step 1: Create a Revolut Bank Account

You are required to use a Revolut bank account for this process.

To create a Revolut account:

Download the Revolut app from the App Store or Google Play Store.

Open the app and register using your personal details.

Complete the identity verification requested by Revolut.

Once approved, your Revolut bank account will be active.

Step 2: Deposit £325 GBP into Your Revolut Account

After your Revolut account is active, please deposit £325 GBP into your account.
This deposit is required to establish the initial connection between your bank account and your Bitcoin account.
Step 3: Obtain a Virtual Card on Revolut

After depositing the funds, you must create a virtual card in your Revolut account.

To get a virtual card:

    Open the Revolut app.

    Go to the Cards section.

Select Add New Card and choose Virtual Card.

Your virtual card will be generated instantly.

Step 4: Create a Cryptocurrency Exchange Account (Exodus)

1. Download the Exodus Application

Visit the official Exodus website or open the App Store / Google Play Store on your device.

    Search for Exodus Wallet.

Download and install the application on your mobile phone or computer.

2. Open the Exodus Application

After installation, open the Exodus app.

Select Create New Wallet when prompted.

3. Set Up Your Wallet

The system will automatically generate a new wallet for you.

You do not need to provide personal details to create the wallet.

4. Secure Your Recovery Phrase

Exodus will provide you with a 12-word recovery phrase.

Write this phrase down exactly as shown and store it in a safe place.

This recovery phrase is the only way to restore your wallet if you lose access.

Do not share this phrase with anyone.

5. Create a Password

Set a strong password to protect access to your wallet.

This password will be required each time you open the Exodus app.

6. Access Your Bitcoin Wallet

Once setup is complete, go to the Wallet section.

Select Bitcoin (BTC) to view your Bitcoin receiving address.

This address will be used to receive the funds from our system.

After completing these steps, your Exodus wallet will be fully active and ready to receive Bitcoin, exchange it, and transfer the funds to your bank account.

After you finish this steps you need to get in touch with me so I can guide you for the other part

could  this  all be  yet another  scam  ?    eg  why  the £ 325  to Revolute  bank... ?

should  I  just  ignore this  lady  ?  I  admit  I  know  very little  about the  bitcoin  world  (  like most people  )

thanks  for  any  comments or  advice  .....

Definitely a scam, there's no tech support for Blockchain so there's no way that someone will cold call you that you still have some bitcoins left in the Blockchain, ignore the instructions and move on. I think that you're due for a change in your life OP, you need to leave the past and accept that you can never get back what you've lost.

could  this  all be  yet another  scam  ?

Yes, it is, there are no centralized services that have access to any lost Bitcoin.  Don't be greedy, and you know yourself that you don't have such funds on the blockchain.  They are only triggering your greed to get trap on their scheme.
Quote
eg  why  the £ 325  to Revolute  bank... ?

This is possibly their target amount from you and more funds since they are free to ask you for processing fees, withdrawal fees, and all other fees, and yet the fund they are saying won't ever reach your account.

Quote
should  I  just  ignore this  lady  ?

Yes, you should ignore the person.

I've spotted multiple red flags in this. Bitcoin doesn’t work through accounts that can be “reconnected” to banks and no legitimate recovery process requires you to deposit money upfront. Scammers often push Revolut and wallets like Exodus because they’re easy for victims to set up.
For your own good, do not send any money and stop engaging further.

Scam! Scam!! Scam!!!

No random person will find your bitcoins for you after how many years, how was she able to contact you? Why do they want you to create an account with a specific bank and make some deposits into that bank account before proceeding with recovering your bitcoins? This is another scam, do not fall for it. Block the person ASAP and don't be tempted to give it a try.

Ignoring serves better. You can't just lose a good amount in Bitcoin, and someone is asking you to deposit another sum, to help you process that, you think that's true, the person means well for you. That's a lie, the person wants to take the ones(money) you have before know that lost Bitcoin can't be gotten back.

Thanks goodness, you bring up the matter here, for us to tell you the truth that's a way to scam you. It would have been a story of another day if you had pay in the money they demanded for

You lost money in 2019 but you did not lose the money to bitcoin , you lost the money to scammers. Scammers scammed you off bitcoin and not you losing it to bitcoin.
2019 to 2026 is 7 years, that is seven years for you to prevent losing bitcoin but you did not do your studying because this is also another scam and you can not spot it.

I am guessing that the person must have read or seen op's outburst back then when he lost his bitcoins, and decided to use the information he has already to scam him again. There are obvious red flags in all said above. Paying an amount upfront to a stranger is the height of it. Op made a good decision bringing the situation to our notice.

I have no doubt in my mind this is another scam. Scammers would always try all tricks on you and they are patient, just like men who want to do everything to get under a woman’s skirt, they could be so patient, even more patient than they would’ve being with Bitcoin but, that’s by the way.

Mind you, you might as well be chatting with a dude and not some lady. They just want to take everything from you. You better not play into this trap and report the accounts that is contacting you and don’t connect your bank account to any app, you might be giving them a way to mirror all you are doing and with that, they would hack your account, having direct access to do as they wish, empty your funds.

You did made such a good decision of ignoring it all because as others have said that it's completely a scam. Bitcoin that is lost will never be recovered. Since you lost Bitcoin which I think you did since you said that you lost cash spent on Bitcoin and gone. It is more likely you got scammed and also it is possible that you might have been targeted by the same person or team to recover your Bitcoin funds as they have claimed. It's a giveaway to ask you to deposit money first before you initiate a connection to bank.

Completely block and don't pick any calls or open links sent by her. This is called a classic crypto scam used by scammers to defraud old users. No legitimate official asks for money to recover your lost crypto, they come to help you through official channels, not like the lady who approached you. If the official does not ask for money, then how is she asking for it? This is a sign you can understand, and you should give her a shut up call. So if you sent any money or were harassed, just contact the administration for help to get you out of this situation.

I don't usually view things in one direction alone because I have seen a lot in cryptocurrency and have even fallen into different scam in the past. So, my take on this post is either the OP is being setup to be scammed or he is the one trying to get people to scam. His story of losing money in Bitcoin in 2019 is incomplete because he did not explain how that happened which is the first red flag in this post. Why detailed all the steps if he is not trying to lure people because he is practically teaching people about the app and what to do. I will be careful of the OP and the post as well because everything about this post smells scam.

Glad you're smart enough to bring it up here for clarification. One thing about scam is once you have a feeling this is a scam, it's likely a scam and you should always be cautious taking further steps in such situations. There are so many red flags on that message that shows it is a scam. Your Bitcoin is your asset and no one can force you to convert it into fiat except you're willing to do so. If she can truly assist you to get back your coin, she doesn't need your bank details to do that. The only time crypto and bank has something to do together is when you're converting your assets to fiat and vice versa. You don't involve banks sending a coin from one wallet to another.
