Sometimes, when I look at Nigerian leaders, I cry. Why is development always centered on building roads, railways, flyovers, bridges etc?
Those people are so backward in thinking. Very backward. The funny thing is that they travel away, watch to news etc. and they see what other countries are doing.

When they assume office, if it's not building of roads, flyovers and bridges, they don't think of anything else to do. Not surprised, their manifesto is never direct. They don't hold on anything meaningful to directly write on. Manifesto is always full of big big English that lack purpose.

In a word where other countries are investing in science and technology, ours see road building as achievement. The painful part is that, even the road, they don't even provide in needed areas. Other countries are investing in using robots to conduct perfect surgeries, working on renewable energy, space travel, using AI to solve economic problems, building research institutes to meet modern development etc. Ours, every year, roads, bridges and railways are always the biggest things in our annual budgets. The funny thing is that the amount of money they spend building roads and railways, other countries use it to achieve a whole lot of things.

Don't get me wrong, it's not wrong to build roads, the problem is that these men don't think beyond roads and other similar things. Just imagine that we don't even have the technology to combat bandits in this big 21st century.

There is another development which is effective ways that Nigerians are going to pay tax. Nigeria government will tax the hell out of their citizens, including poor people.

I have thought of this since years ago but I have freed my kind from it because I do not think there is nothing that can be done. It is a shame not only on Nigeria but it is a shame on us in Africa.

Omo. I always feel like crying when I think about Nigerian government. They are emulating tax system of developed countries but can't emulate the necessary development they put up.

In 50yrs time, this country will turn into those countries we feel are suffering more than us. We are gradually leaving from poverty level to a level we will find it hard to beat malnutrition not because we don't know what to eat but because we don't have to eat. We're finished in this country.

This country has been constructing road since 1960 till date yet we still not have a good in this country, and they still constructing roads in this big 2026. When countries has moved to advancement and AI. The former government did a substantial road the these ones are doing same Thing so in the future they will still be constructing roads.

Poor state of roads in Nigeria has killed as citizens and no concern by the government, they are busy looking for money to steal from the national Treasury.  We don't have leaders in Nigeria, because they have no vision and direction to run the government. Look at the Governors we have in Nigeria today, they receive more money than any Governors in the past yet, they are making no impact in the states.  The Federal and state roads are still in sorry state , they can't think above roads construction. This country is a mess

Nigeria leaders are the worse and most corrupt in the world, every government that comes end up fixing roads and other routine projects, the reason is their interest is always centered on money, even if a past government built a road in the past instead of the current administration to revamp the road they will prefer to award a new contract and abandon the previous one so they will make plenty money, their focus is never on continuity instead they scheme every possible means to steal and embezzle money.

Just as you rightly said they travel out most times and see what is happening in other countries yet can’t replicate same here, the reason is because they don’t want citizens to be empowered, they don’t want individual growth and development of the citizens so that the masses won’t be enlightened and turn around to challenge them, they ensure to keep majority of the citizens in poverty so that the people will remain loyal to them, secondly majority of the leaders are benefiting from the underdevelopment in the country, take for example Atiku that imports generator’s he won’t want the electricity to be stable so he will keep on making money from Nigerians, i wont be surprised that after another regime from now Nigeria will still remain same way, our leaders don’t mean well for the country.
