A woman who claimed to have won a ₱397 million ($6.6 million) jackpot on BingoPlus was told the result was caused by a technical issue. BingoPlus offered her ₱1 million, then later ₱5 million to settle the case, but she declined both offers. PAGCOR’s investigation later concluded that there was no valid win due to a system error.

This is very trending here in Philippines. If you were asked and you were in same situation, and this happened to you, what would you do? Would you accept settlement offer, or would you continue fighting for that amount (considering your current situation) and assuming you truly won and it was not just technical glitch/error as they claim.. what will you do?

The second offer is very good when you compare both offers together. But from what I noticed here in the op, the woman seems to be very greedy. If not she would have agreed to the second offer even though she rejected the first one. As a matter of fact it is very obvious that very poor people seems to be more greedy than the wealthy people. But one thing poor people should do is never to let poverty take over their mindset to the extent that they want to keep everything to their self. Funny enough, if it is to be me, I will take the second off if I reject the first one. However, even though I fund out that the casino didn't tell the truth after I have agreed to the second off, I will consider how much they offered me and if the difference is too much I will sue them to court with the same money they paid me earlier. And I'm pretty sure that they will want to avoid anything that will spoil their reputation, so they will have to pay the complete money (if not adding additional money for inconvenience  Roll Eyes ) but if the I see that it's not much, I will just let go.

Another shit , scammy move from casino while hitting the jackpot. Why it's alway a technical issue when it hits a jackpot. When a person loses millions $ casino never going to investigate or claims it was the technical fault. She gets offered a begger price. This ain't a settlement.

If taking the legal action would be the option for me in my country I will fight for it.

The second offer is very good when you compare both offers together. But from what I noticed here in the op, the woman seems to be very greedy.

How come she is greedy? Are you out of your mind? She probably lost tens of thousands dollar worth of money and only gets offer $100k worth while winning $6M . Ok so I'm playing with my money, losing to casino don't counts but winning would trigger the Technical eror. Very impressive way to scam people, and you guys are supporting.

Just once Aling yourself in her position.

₱397M Slot Jackpot Declared “System Error” – Would You Accept ₱5M or Fight It?

Above thread is basically discussing the same thing.
Since the thread above is older, created 5days ago and it has 5 pages of replies already so better to lock your thread to avoid repetitive answers/posts because the main question is also the same.

I will take the second offer regardless, even if I have the right to claim the total amount because I played the game.
It is not the business of the gambler to care if the casino has a technical issue or not. Provided that they played the game and won, it shouldn't be their concern.
To settle these issues. The casino should give the lady half of what she won. That will settle the case. I hope so.

When there's a prospective of earning a very large amount, the small amounts would seem insignificant. The joy of her winning 397 million pesos were crumbled by the technical issue excuse and the compensation for a mistake which she has no part in just 1 million, we can assume why she isn't willing to take it.
Whether or not to continue the legal battle depends on what the situation is, what the laws of your land states and how easily the judges are influenced. We've seen large companies getting more favorable terms from the law and judicial system that many people feel a settlement would be the better option.
If I was sure about my win and the gambling platform is lying about the technical glitch, I would contest till I could or till I get a respectable settlement, atleast 25% of the amount.
