This rarely happens and if there are casinos that keeps on doing it, they'll lose their reputation and the players are going to find a better casino that won't reason one or declare that they have voided their winnings due to system error. That's why many of my friends, after registering at a new online casino, immediately send their documents for verification. What's the casino supposed to do, anyway? After all, they don't know if someone deposits $100,000 and starts losing it. So I think this is a reasonable approach. The main thing is not to register at a completely unknown online casino, because that would essentially be handing over your documents to strangers online. If players weren't allowed to depo unless they pass kyc then the sites couldn't take that players profit from them. Yes indeed, upon registration on a gambling site the casinos should state all their requirements so that the gamblers will know if they are fine with it or not, if you will require KYC sometime in the future you can as well require it at registration. KYC is our private information which many people are not comfortable to submit later on and it makes more sense to require it at the start. But everyone that gambles on an online casinos should have it at the back of their minds that they could be required to submit KYC later on.
