Well that's the thing folks tend to tell themselves that it's not yet time or they're not old enough. But we should know that age doesn't matter in financial success what actually matters is the person's seriousness and their potential to thrive without procrastinating . We should never underestimate ourselves when it comes to financial skills, because doing so can discourage us from learning and improving. When we believe that we are not capable of understanding matters related to money, saving, budgeting, investing or planning for future, we are intentionally limiting our own growth. Sincerely speaking, this kind of mindset creates self doubt, fear and hesitation, which can prevent us from taking important financial steps or seeking better opportunities. You have said my mind because there is no point putting age to where a person is supposed to be successful,  that idea undermine our peculiarity and make a lot of people create a sense of failure for themselves when they don't achieve these things at those age. It is never the goal of some people to be employed by anyone, they might get the idea of starting a business in collage and start working on that and succeed 10 years later after series of trying and failing. People in this situation might have their mates already doing well in their career but it can take them just one year to overtake them in terms of wealth and achievement. We should not rush anyone into thinking they have failed in life.

In my personal experience I was bouncing around a lot in jobs before the age of 30, doing casual work and also spending money as fast as I could make it. Money is a necessity but then, there are foundational things that should be put in place while waiting for the money to come which will help you Ballance well whenever the money eventually comes. Take for instance building the right moral principles, it might seems too basic and non essential but then, neglecting them has the potential of ruining you to the uttermost and destroying whatever money you've managed to build.

The best way to prepare for the future is to first get quality education, and then add to education the right skills, and to your skills the right network and then character, good value system, as well as ensuring that the body that's going about those things is in proper shape. If you only go about chasing money while neglecting other areas, when your money fails you, you might end up being destroyed too soon.

I agree with you. At that age range, youths should be on the right track towards their destiny so that they can gradually achieve success in life. I agree with OP that before 30 age is a very important time to build a career, use that time properly. If we do not use this time properly then we will not be able to be in a good place. It is the responsibility of every person to take care of ourselves. I agree with you. At that age range, youths should be on the right track towards their destiny so that they can gradually achieve success in life. Everyone must not make money at the same time but been on the right path is very compulsory at that time because it's the knowledge, skill and people that you meet and mingle with will determine your success.

Everyone has good and bad times in their lives and they should always be prepared for them, but we are wrongly told that we have to earn money to survive, rather we need to manage our lives with patience and intelligence because when they run out of money, they should have the method and patience to work calmly and with their own struggle, not panic and go not towards failure. Earning money is important in life, but it is for their own needs, they will waste more than what today's people do and at one time they become helpless and think about their wrong life, so they should not see such a life and should not work hard to make it. And the fact that you're asking "does money bring respect" when you're obviously already under the belief that it does, makes me think you're looking for permission to admit something that you already know.

Yeah, money brings respect. We all live in societies where your bank account determines your quality of healthcare, what kind of education your kids will receive, whether you can use up risks or must keep a job you hate. Pretending it's "just a tool" is being copers. It's the tool that opens up all the other tools as well.

And this, invest in yourself, invest for what return? Measured how? You've financialized your own being and you've not noticed. Even your relationships are "quality connections" now, like are assets to diversify.

There's this statement some people around here always make, they would say that "who ever that is favoured to succeed speedingly by God would think that other struggling people are not serious." I do agree with that statement because I know that some people are really trying their best and their best was good enough to have elevated them but yet everything was not working as they expected and they ended up giving up on their goals. True. I believe the most challenging part of thriving and building wealth is to not let it corrupt your character along the way. To keep your essence intact, despite the temptations of the world. Money can give a false impression of omnipotence, so wealth individuals may think to be more powerful than they really are. Money clouds their vision in a way they develop wrong perceptions of the reality.

As consequence, they let wrong people approach them and let these people mould their behavior. The consequences can be devastating. As the saying goes: the bigger you are, the harder you fall.

If we can be more focused and goal oriented as early as 20s, then I think that will create a lot of positive things before we'll turn into 30. 

Sometimes, its not on the age that we think we are mature enough to think what matter for us the most, but somehow if we can build our mindset earlier and realize that there are golden opportunities around that we need not to be missed, then most likely we will be successful in our career before we hit 30s.

Age shouldn't be a problem if you want to achieve a goal. Some people were lucky to discover their talents or skills at a young age, and they ended up achieving more at an early stage. This shouldn't be a discouragement to people in their 40s and 50s. At this age, one can still acquire skills and achieve goals.

I am currently undergoing a course in which I am the oldest in the class. I am learning that skill because it would help me in my career goals. Some people achieve success at their old age.
