Maybe some had never been scammed before and this makes it more hard for them in believing that scam is real, but we don't have to learn the hard way, we should know what we are expected to do and those things we should distance ourselves from, so that they don't cause vulnerability on us and we get into the hands of the scammers, newbies should read to learn more about this aspect of interest.

These scammers are here as well, they're only waiting for someone to post their details and that's how they'll try a scam attempt.

From X to telegram, everywhere and also from the forum, you should be careful with how you respond to these attempts that they do.

Because one mistake and negligence that you do, you're going to fall for their trap. Don't let your greed push you to fall as their victim.

Now there are scams and scams almost everywhere. It's not just scammers who email - they can also tempt you with your personal phone number, WhatsApp or Telegram. So it's very important to verify anything first. And the most important thing is to be careful.

How to keep yourself safe?

Don't use the same password everywhere. If someone tempts you or says something about the risk of your wallet, check it carefully first. Pay attention to whether the language and quality of their writing are correct. Also make sure that the email or message they send comes from the domain of their official website.

A new investor usually falls victim to scams because he suddenly gets scared after receiving such a message. Scammers will talk as if your wallet is really at risk.

Your vigilance is your biggest strength to survive a scam.

Scams are very common in the crypto space, especially targeting newcomers.

After I posted about the 2014 Chinese Gold Physical Bitcoin experiment, I received two scam attempts:

An X account @paiulseth claimed to be from Dewhales Capital and asked for an interview. When I requested contact via an official Dewhales email, a fake “official” email was used.

Another person emailed me from s09000100@gmail.com
, claimed to have seen my Bitcointalk post, and asked for more details. When I requested a verifiable Bitcointalk account or public profile, they refused and pushed for private chat on Telegram/WhatsApp.

Reminder:
Unsolicited private messages, refusal to verify identity, or attempts to move conversations off the forum are very likely scams.
When in doubt, keep discussions public on the forum.
Appreciate the headsup, sharp from you to notice the rats. That gmail was way to suspicious but the other two attempts i havent heard about yet.
Good looking out

These scammers are here as well, they're only waiting for someone to post their details and that's how they'll try a scam attempt.
Scammers are everywhere thats why even on forum here you have to be so careful, if you receive a private message asking to help you in any way, make sure you are so careful because it might be a scammer that just messaged you. If anyone wants to help you solve any problem, then they should create a thread about it, or they should just quote you and they should guide you.

If you are into crypto space, make sure you are careful with the kind of links you going to click, and make sure you don’t share any sensitive information with anyone, even if the person is trying to help, the person trying to help might end up scamming you.

At this point, I am forced to assume that there is no one in this world who doesn't know about the existence of scam, except toddlers. Scam exists everywhere and there are scammers too who are looking for every opportunity to attack. Everyone now must learn to think before acting. Once there is an unsolicited offer, ask yourself if it's real. Just like the op, seek for sufficient evidence or avoid interactions completely with strangers. Scammers are gradually taking over the Internet and the only thing that can save us is if we remain conscious of ourselves all the time.

Now, targeting cryptocurrency users is no longer limited to phishing attacks and spam. On platforms like X, Discord, Telegram, and other social media, numerous fake Web3 company job interviews and media interviews are being launched into the computers of cryptocurrency users in real-time via fake remote conferencing software. Scammers use social engineering to gather information and purchase long-registered social media accounts to carry out one-on-one scams.

If there's any doubt, individuals should not only seek more detailed information to make an informed decision, but also consider consulting forums for advice from more experienced members. We all despise scammers. I believe the beginner's section could benefit from a pinned post dedicated to fraud prevention and exposing scam tactics.
It is a good attempt as you requested for official forum account and an email official website email not personal mail, so for them not to respond to your second message and moved on without contacting you further, they are indeed scammers.

But my question here is, are these scammers outsiders or some of the forum members here are also running such scams especially maybe new accounts that might just been created to spy and search for newbies or even some old members?
I believe this forum is a very safe place, that’s why the forum is design to be anonymous, if you expose any of your personal information some scammers will come to your dm. Therefore, let’s be careful in how expose our personal data.

I think outsiders are more likely to be involved. Scammers browse information and then communicate through private messages and emails from new accounts. Of course, it's possible that some older accounts have been hacked and are used for fraud. In any case, open discussion within the forum will be the safest way to discuss things.

Where there are targets, that's where scammers are. This is the reason why its better to keep suspicious and think of everyone as scammers so that you will be more cautious with your actions taken all the time. Than feeling confident because you think you know everything, until you find yourself falling on their trap and became the next victim.

Beware of scams and don't let yourself the next target, as scamming isn't just for a beginner but even for old members in any forum or group.

Scammers being insiders or outsiders is quite irrelevant as the motive remains the same, to scam unsuspecting individuals of their money. But of course, people outside the forum are involved as well as posts made here on the forum can be seen on search results on the net. Like you noted, the best way is to initially publicly discuss things. Also, you shouldn't be afraid or feel self conscious for asking questions. Someone having a legit proposal will not shy away from answering whatever questions you may have.
The answers you receive may be well prepared and could be quite convincing so it's best not to blindly believe what you're told. Verify whatever information you are given and don't leave anything to chance.

None of us would learn the hard way because it's never a bargain to learn the hard way. So many regret in the space especially when we fall victims of scams. Common we can do better than this currently, we just have to learn the new proceeding and know the tactics of these new scammers. There's also one thing we should know, never we doubt the working patterns of scams because the slightest opportunity, we're vulnerable already.

We are humans and there's always our strength and also our weakness comes in. This is the weak prospect that tackles us so badly that we fall into the hands of scammers. I'm never going to forgive myself not after suffering huge blow from scams last year. This is new year and I believed I've learned my lessons, time to thrive and back out completely from the paths that are no longer solid.

Doing and learning things naturally according to your own level. Newbies have to start their learning with beginner-leveled resources after that they can learn more technical things and even move up to advanced knowledge. It's never good to try to challenge yourself by learning things that are considerable higher than your current level of knowledge and skills. Rome wasn't built in one day while your learning is an endless journey, so you don't have to put yourself into uncomfortable learning challenge.

By learning, people can improve themselves, change their knowledge and practice so that they will be able to cover their weakness and maximize what they can do from their strength.

Education is key in any area for success and it even saves you from risk of failures and losses in proactive way.

When in doubt, keep discussions public on the forum.
That's why I rarely respond to private messages from others unless I've checked their profile to see if they're trustworthy. Many scams occur online, and most people fall for them because they can't verify their authenticity. I prefer public discussions to avoid misunderstandings and usually people who intend to scam will never want to discuss things publicly for any reason. Therefore, caution is needed to avoid falling prey to their fraudulent schemes because when someone is not careful, fraud becomes much easier for irresponsible people.

Scammers are everywhere, coming with different strategies to scam people. But it is we who must take proper actions to avoid them. The best way to avoid scammer attacks is not to always reply to any message from someone you do not know or from unreal sources. Again, stop clicking on any link unless the link is from a source you know.snother way is by always getting information, so as to know the latest tactics that scammers are using. The reason why we have to stay informed is to know their real forms, because if someone does not know their format, they can still fall for them. So, it is a good way to stay informed.

And because of there strategies this is why we need to be prepared before it gets to us because a lot of people fall victim not because of anything majority is because of greed and the way to avoid them is very easy but just because people want to make quick money is why they are falling victim even after some of them have gotten orientation about all this things but still payed zero attention to it. So sometimes I don't blame anyone than the victims them selfs, because there selfishness brought upon them what they deserved. And from there own personal research they will be able tell, when what was presented is not real, most of this scammers come up with stuffs that are unreliable but people still choose to listen to them, just that people will learn in different ways especially those that will learn from experiences, and those that will not fall victim at all  Different people different experiences.

When in doubt, keep discussions public on the forum.
Scams will continue to exist and grow even more sophisticated. However, most scams are built on psychology of the mind. Their messages carries a sense of urgency, the fear of missing out, deception, a call to greed,  and if their victim is weak on any of them, they will an easy target. Beyond the messages, we must work on our minds, scam messages also appears too good to be true and humans have an agency within them that picks up and signals scam messages. Those who fall for it, just failed to listen to themselves while it is on.

The best way for newbie to start before everything is to learn how it can navigate the forum, because lack of knowledge and understanding about how this forum works is what is leading some newbie’s fall in the victim field of this forum, and that’s why even the scammers easily get access to them.

In this case it is very important for be warning of scams not only the newcomers, but newcomers has to be more careful them everyone; because their new to the forum they don’t know where to start.

The crypto world is full of scammers ready to prey on anyone, targeting anyone who might be a potential victim, especially laypeople and those with a significant amount of value. Personally, I am always skeptical of any information, especially if it seems "Too Good to be True". They usually try to lure potential victims with false promises. You should be aware of this. Furthermore, if you use or publish your contacts, whether on Telegram, WhatsApp, Facebook, or any other platform, you should not be reckless; assume that your contacts will be attacked at some point. Therefore, try to separate your personal contacts from your social contacts. I hope you understand my advice and warning.

That's why I rarely respond to private messages from others unless I've checked their profile to see if they're trustworthy.
That’s just the best idea, don’t respond to private messages unnecessarily, if you receive message from a random person, just ignore it. Make sure you don’t click on random link which you see, if you receive a link from a random person, just make sure you ignore the link. When downloading any application, make sure you are getting the application from the direct source, things like this are what some people don’t even know about which they just going to fall victim.

Many scams occur online, and most people fall for them because they can't verify their authenticity.
Whatsoever you are doing on the internet, make sure you take your time to properly verify what you want to do, if you are in rush, then you might just be taking the wrong decisions. If anyone send you any personal message requesting for sensitive messages, just ignore the person.
