Is betting really showing passion for sports?
I have heard people say this, that they bet because of the passion they have for the game.

First and foremost, anything you do by putting money to win money is not passion. That's business. You don't show true passion by spending money to win money. What satisfy you most about your passion is the happiness you get from a thing without considering money. It's okay if money comes afterwards.

Betting is not a way of showing passion. It's purely a ground to make money. It's business. The more people accept this, the better for them because the feeling or disguising the truth for passion is one of the reasons people don't realize to getting addicted. They see the addiction sings as signs of passionate individual and will never accept they're getting into addiction.

We bet on sports because we have an interest in sports. If we were not interested, we would not bet on sports. Maybe we would bet on some other casino game or we would be completely inactive from gambling. If I say here that we always act with emotion and bet with emotion, then here too I will not agree because we gamble for entertainment. When we need to be entertained, we will gamble and when we do not need to be entertained, we do not gamble. If we gamble and bet with the highest passion, then maybe I would always bet on gambling.

I believe that each of them has some good points but passion and profit do not always negate. It is possible that the passion to sports makes a person decide to place a bet on a specific game, as he/she knows the teams, players, and dynamics. But this changes as soon as money is concerned, at least in part, and now the motivation becomes involved with the making of profit. It does not necessarily eliminate passion, just that it shifts the focus. It is dangerous when individuals follow the heart and not the mind in making decisions and disregard the risks. Betting can be based on interest or entertainment, but it is important to understand this as gambling and not an indication of passion.

Gambling won't be a way for the vast majority of players to make money, as it's a business that relies on players for profit. Although there will certainly be those who make a quick buck, the main thing for them is to decide whether to quit with a profit or continue playing. For me, betting remains simply a form of entertainment in everyday life and a way to test my analysis for upcoming matches. If I'm lucky enough to win, I'll be thrilled. Although I understand that losing is easy, the key is not to react too impulsively to it, otherwise you could go on a severe tilt.

I think the passion comes with betting on the games which you are comfortable with and you actually do follow; checking your winning record can only show the good predictions you have made, and the losses could also be taken as wrong choices or the team which you choose just being unstable. Whatever it may be, I consider the size of the bet to have a thing about contributing to game passion.

It takes having passion for something to want to put your resources in it, those who bet on sports games like football and others definitely are passionate about the sports and that is why they put their money on it, and it doesn't matter the amount of money they put, passion remains passion.

We have people who watch football and other sports, and they bet on the games which they follow up; I consider them to be passionate about it. We also have those who love football but don't follow up every event, and they still manage to bet on the events which they don't follow up; such persons, I don't see as very passionate.
And we also have the group who don't even have much idea about football, but they are interested in how to make money through betting, so they go with copying others' games and placing bets exactly how those people bet on those games. That set don't have anything in common with passion for betting and sport.

Doing something for passion and fun is two different things. If betting is a passion, it means that betting is something people can't do without, because considering something as a passion means it is part of you. In gambling, it ought not to be that way. I completely agree with you. Every person gambles with the intention of winning from gambling. There are many sources of fun that can be enjoyed without the risk of losing money. How we call it depends on our presentation. So there is no need to take gambling as a fun and bring danger to ourselves. Because almost everyone becomes addicted to gambling while gambling for fun.

If we can create a budget for gambling and if we are able to control ourselves then it will be very good for us and our financial situation. Because many times we are victims of repeated defeats and at that time we gamble more aggressively. So we need to set a budget and control ourselves.

Some people say they gamble for fun we can't doubt them because we don't know their intentions and we can't conclude that they are lying about what they do in their gambling life but for those who do not care about what people think, you will see them coming up to make it open that they gamble to make profit. I also gamble for money but it doesn't stop me from knowing my limits cause I can't afford to gamble with what I can't afford to lose.

My friend you don't generalize it that way because not everyone really fakes it even though some people are faking their real intentions about gambling and calling it for fun and entertainment. Nevertheless, even those who gambles for fun would always be glad they win a bet because for every human the instinct to win would always be there it would look disturbing to ones psychology that even if he's gambling for fun being a winner and feeling what it means to win should also be what they should experience personally.

You are so wrong Eze BTC.. The involvement of money in a particular endeavor dosen't automatically make it to be a business.. Passion and money can exit at the same time. Let me give you some examples to prove that: For example we have musician who pay large amount of money to acquire new equipment so they can sing better and get more money, would you say because money is involved they aren't passionate about their music?we also have athletes who pay for training and equipments etc...

I love football and that where I place my bets. Am sure you are also a gambler right? So when you want to pick the sport to gamble on, do you go with the one that you have no idea/ interest about or the one that interest you the more? Am sure your answer will be the later, and this only proves why the presence of money dosen't erase the interest/passion you have about something...

If we don't have passion for gambling, I don't think we will be even taking the risk to bet on any game, the portion we have in gambling could also come with expectations, we should also not deceive ourselves because some people will think that gambling is what they can achieve by turning it to become a source of income, search could be a wrong expectation because you may end up not achieving it.
