Donald Trump could be doing all that unknownly that his actions is affecting the crypto market according to you as allegedly, although for every political figure such as the president of the United States, he control alot of traffic and have high influence, this is most likely the only influence he may be having on the crypto market and even at that such market influence is limited depending the time the news came, Bitcoin have hard history of moving against market sentiment or media sentiment sometimes.

Since you are not specific with any altcoin that Trump was the cause for its pump or dump, I will assume that you are generalizing it to all the altcoin but that's not completely true, if Trump starts a war or states a new regulation that is negative or positive, such even can have effect on the market, not just the altcoins market but both stocks too are usually affected. There's no specific here, his actions could have effect on other market, he is not any weapon but they know the politics that they are playing to try manipulating the market for their own advantage.

Altcoin pump and dump pattern did not start today, it didn't start after Trump became president, the altcoin market have been like that since I know it, the pumps and dumps pattern of altcoins depends on several factors, it's not only one factor that makes altcoins prices to pump but other things does too including the team of the project, they can make announcement that will cause a massive self off.

If you say so I will not disagree with you because I personally think he is against the crypto world entirely not just altcoins, I mean against crypto not in terms that he declared threat against it but his actions have affected the whole market lately that it has underperformed and the performance is quite delayed or too early hence making the market very much unpredictable, unlike before we make guesses and they are correct today we can’t is like the manipulation of the market is now overwhelming. Donald Trump is a business man so he understands money in general and he uses his power and actions to control it's flow. I'm his first tenure, his Twitter handle was so powerful that it sends the stock market the direction he wants via one post. Now that the cryptocurrency market is his new found oil, I'm not surprised if he uses his power to manipulate the market to his advantage since himself and his family are heavily involved in the business.

That's just your selfish view of him, because the truth isn't like that. He's doing his job as president, which is meant to benefit the country, sometimes negatively or positively. The negative view of him can be attributed to the negative impact his statements & policies have had so far. Ultimately, Trump wasn't that big a catalyst, he had an influence, but that influence was supported by other factors.

I don't think everything the crypto market does has something to do with Trump. He's got some contributions and influences.

But it's not that all he does all of the work, the market is such big but some things that he says really affects what happens to the market.

People liked him when he's about to run as the POTUS due to his political stand point towards crypto. And now, they don't like any longer.

He doesn't really do that for any reason regards to crypto, he REALLY doesn't care about crypto at all. That is just who he is, he wants to leave a name and he has achieved that. Being the "best president ever" is not really that easy, many people will argue about that, but being "the worst president ever" is not that hard, and I am pretty sure that he is gunning for it, even though he will always have supporters because every president has at least some support, he is going for the record for the lowest approval rating ever and that means he wakes up everyday and looks to shake things up.

USA is quite weird like that, they want to have someone in power who will do the wrong thing, and yet as long as it is not by the political elite, that's fine. I get it, he is horrible, but he is not bought, he is authentically horrible, he is personally horrible, and not because of what bribers say, and that's a fresh new way of horrible compared to previous presidents who were horrible because they did what establishment asked them, a new way of horrible can get love for some reason.

A political target to altcoins only?, Nahh, I don't think that's entirely true. Bitcoin also felt the impact of his policies a few times.
Of course, I agree that a lot has changed in the crypto market, and it has really affected the Altcoins as we can't even tell when exactly they're going to do well, but the truth is, Trump's actions has more of a general impact, than just a targeted one. He actually did carry crypto along during his early days in office, but the reality is, some of his governmental policies where not going to favor certain things in tbe long run, and the crypto market was one of them. And if you know Trump too well... He doesn't hesitate to make his policies even though it's going to have a negative impact on other sectors.

It is true that politician could temporarily influence the market however in the end the macro economy and effective policy affect the market more. The crypto market does not depend on the emotion of Trump or anyone else but usually react to tariff, trade conflict or major US political decision. Because these factor affect liquidity and investor risk appetite. When the macro level liquidation due to tariff began, it was seen that the prices of Bitcoin and Ethereum along with the stock market also started to decline very rapidly. I don't think Trump care so much about the price of Bitcoin going up so much. Maybe they haven't accumulated as much bitcoin as they'd like and as such, they're trying to suppress and get the price lower. But if that were to be the case, why would he still go ahead with it when he knew that stocks being affected will have a net negative effect on the US economy?



There's another thread in this board that says his family has already extracted over $1B from the market. So there's also the possibility that he isn't targeting Bitcoin (or alts for that matter)

Honestly, i am not sure if you are trying satire here, but not everyone is focused on about altcoins. President Trump least of them.

Cryptocurrencies only exists to Trump in a sense that it's something mystical he could benefit from. And he benefits from something that gives him power/money. That doesn't mean he would be focused on something like crypto, because he doesn't understand how it works. You are giving him too much credit for him understanding anything. Also, why would altcoin prices be in any of his goals when he is having mood swings.

It's likely that he doesn't understand what fuels the value of cryptos, nor he would care. What he cares about is if people praise him or not, because that's what he ultimately wants... Control and people praising him.

Imagine, he just woke up yesterday and the best thing he felt like doing! is to put tariff on Europen nations who chose to oppose his plans on taking over greenland from Denmark, clclearly he should know that such action will hurt every major market in the ecosystem, this his a president who promised to heavily invest in crypto and make Americans win until they are tired of winning!. Honestly, with the rate he is going with all these negative decisions that hurt both Americans and nations across the globe, he will end up as one of the worst presidents to rule the US.

It can hurt the market and most likely will. But every controversial decision will hurt the market either way. I doubt the well being of the market is even considered. I think he knew it will hurt the market but he gotta execute the plan he ought to execute because from his perspective it's worth it and on the grand scheme of thing, market isn't the only thing that should be taken into account. Though I 100% prefer peaceful time when my investment grow every day.
Honestly speaking, speculating on the market has become very difficult that I don't think it's worth it anymore.
