I was inspired by the YouTube channel "What If", where the outcome of events that are almost impossible to happen or happen again is logically explained.
So I was wondering if it would be interesting to hear our own little version of "What if Satoshi Nakamoto decides to wake up today?"
It is known to us that he has over a million Bitcoin stashed in multiple different addresses, which, at the current BTC price, would roughly cost a little over a hundred billion. However, these have all been dormant for over 15 years.
Though there was some movement back in June 2025 in
in this address, but that wasn't really him making the transaction.
Now, let's break down the questions into different levels and possibilities :
1. What if Satoshi wakes up today?
- That will surely affect the market. Positive or negative?
2. We all know he can't sell all of his holdings (there's not enough buy side liquidity), but what if he sold hundreds or, on another level, thousands of them?
- Again, it will surely affect the market. Positive or negative?
3. Some of us, if not most, believe that Satoshi's disappearance has shaped how we view Bitcoin today without his physical influence or leadership, but still going stronger. If he suddenly shows up, let's say he presents us with solid evidence that he is who he is, would that change Bitcoin's strength and people's view towards Bitcoin?
