Nicknames For All The Different Types of Gamblers- Thoughts?

This is really a crazy thinking man, I guess you're a little bit tipsy when creating this thread. I think all work without play makes jack a dull boy, so let the fun begins..

Mine are:

Blackjack= blackwhich
Roulette= Roller coasters Riders
Sportbet= spontaneous losers.
Poker= pokernizers.
Slot=  the slutters
Dice player= Dicers

I thought dice players, at least when playing craps, were referred to as shooters? Also heard them referred to as throwing bones by guys that like to play dice outside the casino, so bone throwers seems logical.

Amazing idea, it is pretty making sense because not everytime we will want to be calling each other real name in the middle of the game. Adding up some spicy nickname will make it make more sense then expected. Personally, i haven't really experience it but I think I love the idea, anything to spice it up nice one. However, maybe I'm going to try it when next I'm with my friends in the game house.

I think using nicknames like this on the forum will give the community a different feel. If it doesn't work it will just get lost and if everyone likes it, it can slowly become part of the forum's own culture. Let's see what names others suggest

Hahaha, slotters works for slot lovers lol, but why wrote it as slutters? Slots is my favourite of them all and I have never thought about naming them games this way, thanks for making my laugh this money, I was already having a bad day.

Hmm, come to think of it, grinders fits poker players more than any other casino games, this is so accurate, how about Roulette? I've heard people calling this game the Devils game and it's players are called BJs....don't know if that mean something different? Hahahaha

Here's my quick idea for this.
Slot players = Crankers (cranking that slot machine)
Roulette players = Spinners ('cause well, some of those things spin)
Blackjack players = Jackets (for no specific reason?)
Dice players = 6 siders ('cause a dice has 6 sides?) or Rollers (roll the dice)
Pokers = Yeah, Pokes is a good choice for this one.
Sports Bettors = Managers?
E-Sports Bettors = Keyboards 

These are actually pretty creative mate.  I can already imagine people starting to use some of these around the forum. But we have still got one important group missing. The people who jump from slots to sports betting and then to poker and somehow end up at roulette all in the same day because they are always following the best opportunity.  I think we should call them Tourists because they never stay in one place long enough to unpack. They are just collecting stamps from every gambling section before moving on to the next one.

No, I think it's a great idea. I'm not sure I understand how to implement it, but as a poker player, I like the word "Pokes" for people like me. Actually, my username here on Bitcointalk kind of reflects what kind of gambler I am. I chase big multipliers, and since the chances of winning are low, I kind of "bet wrong"—meaning I bet on outcomes that are unlikely to happen.

I like the idea. Names should be intuitive so everyone gets them instantly.

Roulette = Wheelers
Sports betting = Line hunters
Poker = Grinders

Anything too clever probably won’t stick long-term.

I laughed out loud when I read the names of gamblers in certain categories LOL it will be hard to remember their names I just say they are "gamblers" I remember it easier, creative idea but what do you call those who play everything? LOL
we should have a unique name "all bet" for those who bet on everything

For ease of remembering, I'll go with

I have not seen anyone mentioning Crash game players lately here on this thread. It seems they may be the hardest one's for us to come up with a name, for some reason.

I also find assuming how there are so many people who cam come up with names to different kinds of gamblers, but I am yet to see some casino or bookie to adopt their own terminology for their own gamblers. When comes to names and terms, it seem most casinos still prefer to keep their language as professional as possible to refer to their clients.

It does not surprise me much though... As there is no clear consensus on how some certain gamblers are supposed to be named.

Haha interesting topic, sloters, pokes, BJs and Old Sport, although I don't really think the nickname is important but it's quite unique, and also when we discuss topics about gambling sometimes I'm also quite confused reading the posts of forum members here, I mean when the topic title is about type A of gambling but there are always some people discussing other types of gambling or equating them all (even though I understand that in the end it's about luck), oh yeah, do we need to give ourselves a nickname every time we discuss gambling? For example "I'm a true slotter".

It is an interesting idea! Just to add, it gives a particular designation on what kind of gambler you are. In essence, it makes you somehow believable especially when you try to render some advice to the forum users here. It makes everything a little bit "personal" in the sense that what you are actually saying is the true.

My take on this, however, is that there could be a potential division that could happen. Some gamblers may feel discriminated or ostracized because of that particular designation. Though I doubt that the crypto community would be that toxic, but there is that potential that we just can't disregard.

Be that as it may, I kind of support this idea for that kind of designation. Not only does your profile look more personal but it makes things interesting to say the least! Hopefully there will be some kind of execution that could happen in the near future.

For me I will only add nicknames to slot players as I am one of them and for me the best nickname that fulfills completely their identity is INSANE for the simple reason that these people including me do not judge correctly what they are doing, they keep doing the same thing over and over again and expect to win big sometimes which if we translate their deeds we come to the conclusion that doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is called insanity.

I've noticed that there are many different types of gamblers. So I had this fun idea.

It's not a bad thing to name the type of gambling game that has a name, maybe it looks interesting and unique, it's something to overcome boredom for the gambler himself.

I think that having names or nicknames for types of games will attract bettors, they will think that unique nicknames will produce unique results too, that is a good concept for every online gambling site to develop.

In the era of technology, of course nicknames also have to be cool, like the nickname posted by @julerz12, maybe it looks cool.

Perhaps this is true, but many players don't want to fully acknowledge it. They're just trying to be overconfident, hoping for luck and believing they'll be the one to win, but this has absolutely no basis in reality. I've often seen friends and acquaintances betting on bets be so overconfident and confident they'd win that I didn't even want to talk them out of it, because the game will do it itself and show them their place in reality. Perhaps I would also call them crazy or overconfident, and that's exactly what I call them in my head.

It looks like you are the ones who drank and are now drunk there mate, lol. As almost all of those names you wrote there except with the last/Dice one seems to not make sense or has no special connection with the game, despite having some little rhyme.

But if I can give my own name suggestion, I think Black Jack is already a perfect name for the its player. More if their colours are also Black and then if their true name is also Jack  . I don't mean to offend someone here.

Roulette, Sportsbet, or gambling as a whole, all players of it are like riding a roller coaster. And if we lose control, we are going to be a spontaneous losers .

Slot machine addiction will often lead to the release of basic logic control among players. The hope to become a lot rich in case of a lottery with random machines is an imaginary wish with no ground. It is preferable to be taught a lesson by bitter experience rather than to prattle. This is in hope that before they fully lose their fortunes into illusory dreams that never come to fruition awareness will arise.

If you say for fun then it is fine but what you must know is that there are people who doesn't have time for that over here, and it is mostly common among class mate or group of friends that do regularly goes out for a particular play or for something similarly.
When groups of friends meet together then it is that easier for them to carry out the nickname of a thing, although these friends could be among those who do go out gambling, clubbing and whatever and when they come together they are being recognized by those names.

Among most of the suggestions I have seen here I kind of like yours because the names somehow align and make it easier to figure out what it stands for without cracking much of your head since the words are almost mining what the game is really all about, like 'slot' has to do with spinning, etc.

Hey good point! That is honestly probably one of the greatest analogies for gambling. Gambling is like a roller coaster. There are ups and downs, twists and turns, suspense, sometimes you can even end up puking when its all said and done hahah. There are times filled with excitement, nervousness, and also pure joy all at the same time. At the end of the day though we are all just trying to have a good time and enjoy the ride.
