Facebook is shit.

These scam and phishing advertisements appeare a long time already and you would feel more surprised if you know that Facebook refused to remove such scam advertisements.

If you don't believe me, you can report those scam advertisements and wait for results from Facebook.

I did reported those scam advertisements, and firstly I am surprised to see Facebook take several days or two weeks to handle my reports, and secondly they gave me results that they won't remove those advertisements as they see no reason to do that.

Not to belittle the OP in any way, I think your suggestion is better in the case or aspect of locking the thread. I say so because if both threads are to be compared, acroman08 even has got more details in his thread plus a lot other photos showing the scam ads. If this thread remains open, then maybe users will just use it to farm for activities. I do not blame the OP however, because it is not his fault, he may have seen or noticed what is going on and thought it right to share the information on the forum so that other users can also be informed of the newest method of phishing. He may not have checked if someone else has made a post like the one he was about to make due to what I suspect will be as the result of the urgency of the matter.

OP I want to say a big thank you for bringing this to our knowledge because trust me, if it isn't for this thread, I wouldn't have known that something like this is currently going on on Facebook. Maybe I may have clicked on it and even inputted my details thinking it would be real. Seems they prioritize ads revenue rather than checking on what are the types of services been promoted on their platform.

I've seen lot of this scam ads when I visit their platform.

I  think that maybe there's none from their team moderating those scams and this is the reason those scammers take advantage those situation to promote then spread their phising sites. So what I usually do when I see that deceiving ads is to report it and hope that their support will decide to take down those scam post.

They are everywhere now, last night I saw some on Instagram. The fact that there are still ads like this popping up is a sign they are still making good money. No one can block them. When we report their page, they'll create a new one with nearly identical ads. This is a common thing here and one of the reason Facebook is boring to use. The scam level there is in another level as if the platform was built for scammers. The moment I see anything beautifully written free, I know it will be scam so I avoid clicking any link relating to it. I have fallen to scam from Facebook before and I will never allow it happen again and to ensure this, I have left all crypto groups on Facebook.

I have reported the fake and phising site promotion on Facebook thousand time but always showing new and difference promotion, its difficult to close permanent that promotion in our Facebook account because the are paid promotion and Facebook most lovely not care yet the promotion is scam site or not. Sometime the fake promotion not related about free BNB and Solana but earn more than $200 by clicking link show the local exchange market, its promotion only for Facebook opening by desktop but trough APP not showing that link yet.

Because you have the idea/knowledge of "no one will like to offer anything for nothing'' on social media. Many people on the same social media(Facebook) don't have such knowledge. They think that they can actually get free tokens(Solana, BNB, or Eth) on social media. That's why many at times these scammers bring these free offers on social media because they do believe that, many people would fall victim to their scam tricks, thinking that it's a free crypto tokens they will get at the end of the instructions to receive the free tokens, not knowing that it's phishing links they are clicking to

Unfortunately, this is common practice on social media platforms, not only Facebook but also X, for example. In addition to the examples you mentioned, X is full of engagement farming posts like this one:

I also saw that on X, actually. I just tried it, and maybe they can send a free airdrop for me, so I provided my Solana address just in case it's true or not, but most of them seem to be meme tokens with the faces of well-known influencers.
I joined only 4 of them, and their way of marketing is working similarly to Lumiterra, where you need to like their post and retweet and put the wallet address.
I tried it to share my temporary Solana address, and if I am lucky, maybe one of them is true; at least it's free.

I think the very first mistake you did was to click on those links at first. That's to say it your device is not protected you are already on your way to be compromised through the access generated by clicking that contaminated link but it is still okay if you trust your device protective softwares.
But remember it is always safer to be avoided than proving them how equiped you are because you never can tell if the capacity of the phishing files is stronger than your anti-malwares.

You are underestimating what Facebook people can do. Honestly, I'm marvel at how Facebook people do like posts on the app. The way those people like comedy skits and videos that are not funny will want to make you question the existence of intelligent. Any person that sit down to think about this social engineering scam knows what Facebook people can do, they can fall for this scam without thinking about it and this is why Google and other related platforms doesn't accept crypto ads, I'm surprised they allowed this one to be posted as ads on Facebook.

This can mean 2 things, it means that Facebook doesn't even check ads before they allowed it to be posted on their platform, they don't review ads before they upload them, it's an automated system included the billing which is very bad. I don't know for others, I have deleted Facebook from my phone, I don't use it anymore.

Facebook could also have low turn up revenue which means they don't make selection anymore, ones they see an advert, they accept them. Avoid this platforms.

Surfing the web these days can raise a lot of concerns on security. Especially when you are using certain apps or sites that offer premium options and you are not subscribed to them. You tend to find yourself in the midst of ads that offers zero value and should you by any chance click them, maybe your hands just touch the screen of your device, another web page opens up and you are redirected to a different page and so on. It’s just terrible because, you never can tell the moment there might be a security breach.

I’ve never being a fan of freebies though don’t give them any attention.

You just need to stop chasing "free cheese" as they're the best bait for greedy fools.

These days, you need to be extremely careful when installing any apps, and ideally, have a dedicated PC \ smartphone for working with cryptocurrencies, so that installing the "wrong" app doesn't empty your wallets.

It's creepy once you click the sponsored link it will redirect you on the similar domain above. It seems that the owner of this site have multiple campaigns with different attractive offers. I'm sure some newbies will fall for this since the landing page looks similar as the official one.

That's your decision, of course, but I would never do that.

Ads placed in this way usually just collect your data and are happy that you distribute the information for free (because you have to repost the whole thing). Your data then ends up in a database that is sold to other projects, which may then contact you directly.

If you want to do something like this, only do it with a disposable X account that has no connection to you as a real person and does not have a real email address or similar information stored.

But as I said, you won't win anything.

It does not take them any long time for checking but their decisions against our reports and refuse to take any action of shutting down such scam advertisements on their platforms, together shows that they are strongly supporting scammers.

It's a hell social media platform when their policy turns to strongly support scammers like this. They're a Big Tech and have full technical capacity to build up automatic tools for checking links of advertisements. It's not too hard or challenging for a Big Tech company like Meta, it only shows that they changed entirely and turned to be a scam heaven platform.

it’s probably because you interact with a lot of crypto ads and maybe the scammers paid a lot for their posts to be boosted so more people see it this just shows how much scammers are expecting to gain from scamming others if they are willing to spend so much on their fraudulent content
