I think that there is no exit strategy if you're having fun and you're gamble to enjoy. But for those who are making money in gambling, they might just end up thinking that there's a need to exit eventually.

And for as long as they make sure that they're not going to gamble when they have lost so much already, it is what they'll continue to do.

If a jackpot comes to me, I'd definitely set aside the 90% of that total winnings and the rest is all good and set to gamble.

If the big one hit today, I'm not going to gamble for a long time, that would be my protective mechanism to prevent any temptation that will push me to continue gambling until the my balance becomes zero again. I won't like to be a gambler that got an opportunity to change everything about himself but ended up tossing all the opportunity into a sea. Once that big one hit, I'm taking off my money from the casino and straight to my bank where I will then starts to allocate the money into different necessities. I’m not a veteran gambler, just an ordinary one. And if you ask me about it, I’d say that all the gambling activities I still do today are simply about trying my luck with the money I have left. There’s no addiction involved, and it’s not just about the money. The thrill of placing a bet can be enjoyable in my spare time. I don’t use any strategies at all. I only place small bets with high odds, just to try my luck. If I win, I consider it just a bonus to my enjoyment, but if I lose, I don't consider it luck. That's far better than consistently gambling for money, which can end badly.

I honestly don’t think you’ll completely stop, especially after getting rewarded with a huge win. In a way, you owe that moment to gambling itself.

Even those whose wealth is already above 6 figures getting such a win will get them some joy, which could lead to relaxation. It might not be a life-changing amount, but there is some amount of winning, for which the best option at that very moment is to take a break, before the person's greed level leads him into giving the casino back what was just won and turning out to be a 1-time millionaire.

Already I've made myself far away from gambling. I've lowered the frequency of getting into gambling platforms realising the lack of control. What has been mentioned in the OP fits well with me. Means I always make little money and doesn't have a planned exit strategy and even if I set something I wasn't able to follow it. That doesn't change the fact that these people gamble for money. It's just that they aren't smart about money. And everyone has a different goal, where they are going to quit. For some people that exit goal is going always to be that next 2x of the bankroll. And it's not even greed that's making these people play more. It's that they didn't have real exit plan in the first place.

When someone wins against all odds, they often think that they have earned it (for some reason). So they think that they can do it again, even though it's likely that's not going to happen. So they start to double their money at least, and no matter how high your bankroll is, it's going to be as difficult, so they end up losing it.

What you can do on this is just play on a really reputable casino. Because they can handle multi-million dollar winnings. So for me, if you are in doubt with the reputation of the gambling site, better not play big. You already know how much you can win anyway based from your betting amount. So if the amount is quite huge, better go to the top casinos that won't have problem disbursing significant amount of money.

The big one! Oh dammit lol. Bro I wouldn't quit my job right away. I would actually grind like there is no tomorrow like I had nothing to lose! I would say all the shit I would never say in fear of losing my job. I would put people in my company in their place (none come to mind but if they did i surely would!!!) I would honestly keep the job and work hard AF in the beginning of the day and just duck out after lunch and not return for the day and say I was WFH and do whatever the hell I wanted probably for the first 6 months or year while I strategically invested my winnings and planned an even better life. I wouldn't tell a soul I won and slowly get all of my affairs in order. Pay off everything most importantly the mortgage and then start pouring out blessings to all of my loved ones. I feel like I probably wouldn't tell my wife in fear that she would just become a spoiled you know what hahaha at least not immediately. I know i have to share the wealth but discretion is advised. Becoming a millionaire over night is as much a blessing as it us a curse I feel like. Money changes you and other people and I don't want that shit affecting me. Id rather be wise and go under the radar and set us up for life instead of going on a spending spree like most people would and I would 100% keep my mouth fucking shut!!!

These are just imagination because it doesn't look like something that would happen any time soon. Hitting the casinos are the most difficult thing in gambling so we should see it as what is not possible because most times we often get carried away by wanting to win the casino.
