Do you think you could become Rich through gambling?

I think we are all guilty about it thinking that we are going to be rich when we somehow gamble or bet anything, so probably at some point everyone probably already tried to do some kind of lottery because the winning is just a huge amount that can actually change your life, even though the chances of it was just very low, just starting to buy lottery tickets we are already seeing it and thinking what we are going to do with the money when we win, even thought we didn't win anything yet.

I mean, it can actually make you rich for sure, and there are already a few people that actually lucky and able to be rich on gambling, but it doesn't mean it is going to happen to you as well. Totally quit gambling for money since it was just a very risky thing to do overall, In my years of investment, I learn a lot and learn more when it comes to savings, now I usually save big on a lot of aspect, building my financial foundation so that I could easily be financially free in my 30s if im aggressive or if im lucky.

I’m currently in that state, I have been gambling for months now without any substantial wins and yet I’m still gambling. Although, mine is a bit different because unlike others who gamble with large amount and then lose it, I gamble with a very small amount so when I win my bet the amount I realise from it is usually very small that I don’t even see the difference between it and my original bet.

Can gambling make me rich? Yes, it can. Am I hoping that I get rich from gambling? Yes, if I’m lucky enough. With my current betting amount can I become rich with gambling? If we’re talking strict sport betting then “No” but if we include casino bet, then yes.

Because I am not a gambling addict, the answer is a big Yes, I would stop gambling if I am lucky enough to hit the jackpot or win a big sum of money with my small budget. And another Yes for quit gambling forever because I don't need it anymore after winning a big amount. Actually, gambling is a favorite pass time because I am not that rich and I can win small amounts as pocket money. Once I get the chance to do more interesting things, I would never lose more time playing and losing more again and again in an endless  circle.

If you consider the lottery as gambling, then yeah, I believe someone could become rich from it, but that’s mostly pure luck.

The other type of gambling where I think a person, not necessarily me, could actually become rich is sports betting. That’s where skills come into play. If someone is able to develop those skills and be consistent, it’s not impossible to make serious money.

Of course, you need a decent bankroll to start with, the discipline to manage it properly, and the patience to slowly grow the capital. It’s not instant riches from luck. At that point, it becomes more like a job. And if you pull it off, you’re one of the smarter ones who managed to make a living from gambling.

I know this is rare but the percentage of people who are gambling today have this perspective and notion about becoming successful through gambling, and of course that is very possible but is very rare to happened, but guess what?

This is what gets most people trapped in between, because they are trying to prove themselves that they can make it true gambling but without knowing it is going the other way round where you would be gambling and losing after countless loses you could find it too hard to quit couples with the amount spent for years of gambling without succeeding hitting a better chance.

From my point of view, I would say that gambling is not for making money. Those who think of gambling as a means of making money and try to get rich through it, but they get addicted to gambling and destroy themselves instead of getting rich for a while. Maybe by winning the jackpot by gambling you can make yourself rich for a while, but in this game of luck, you cannot tell what will happen to whose luck. I do not see any way to make myself rich from this gambling because I only gamble for fun and there is very little money involved and gambling can be suitable for fun.

well, i don't really see this as a goal, I can get rich through gambling if I get lucky but I'm not obsessed over winning big...only a lazy person would wallow in wishful thinking of becoming financially stable through gambling...This is something that's uncertain so you cannot rely on uncertainty unless you are planning to be broke for a long time...Winning huge amounts from gambling are mostly unexpected

No, I don't think so. It's difficult to do that, and I prefer to just gamble for entertainment.

You are right. That is where most gamblers got it all wrong. Initially, they thought it was highly possible to get rich in gambling, especially if they hit a multiplier that seemed impossible to get, and yet they experienced it. Their choices will be clouded by greed, and they will have an idea that it can be done.

Imagine if many gambler made their money out of gambling. Where will the gambling industry go now? Gone. Yes, they will close down shop and just think of a new business. So, it's better to just gamble responsibly, and if ever you hit that amount that will change your life, congratulations.

During the beginning days of gambling I kept winning and I had this thought of being rich through gambling. At some point started to experience massive loss and out of addiction borrowed money and took loan to gamble. This was the biggest mistake of my life. Till now I'm suffering repaying the loan and borrowed money. The real life experience gave me the best learning that make a right exit and feel happy. Never think of getting rich through gambling.

Anything is possible in gambling. You can become rich, luckily in gambling, but at the same time, you can go broke trying to become rich through gambling.

The problem here is gamblers having the mentality that they can get rich through gambling. That is very wrong. As much as anyone can be lucky, keeping that idea in mind will only lead the gambler to his doom. It is better to gamble knowing full well that the outcome can be either a win or a loss.

You are right about this; if someone is not lazy, I don't see how they can be expecting to win an amount that will stabilise his finances through gambling instead of spending that same time on something which is productive and could actually give them that result as they continue to put effort into it, and people who always hope for such a life-changing amount usually don't get that type of winning; they end up spending much money chasing what will never happen.

Absolutely NO. There's zero chance for someone to get rich with gambling, the only exception is when they happen to be one of the casino's shareholder or when they're a professional gambler, like they're getting paid to compete in a poker tournament.

Getting rich while continuing to gamble is a delusion. It's not a rare occasion, but it's pretty common, there are a lot of gamblers who prayed for that one time jackpot, some time in the future, hoping it will bring them abundant wealth. However, we all know what's the reality behind this delusion and how it normally end up.

If somehow I'd been trying for quite a decade I guess and didn't make around on the outcome I use to dream for I guess I'd probably quit. Moreover, that shouldn't be the case with gambling, you can have what you wanted even with small wins. Small wins accumulated over time is huge step to get rich, that should be the thinking everyone should do while gambling and the fun part as well.

Of course if you hit a jackpot you are on the right path but this is pretty different from gambling...
Imagine you gamble... how much would your casino loss before telling you to leave their table?

Definitely that is true, and it is mostly common with many gamblers out there, that the only way to take them away from being poor or in making them becoming rich. When a gambler thinks that, gambling will bring richness, then we can tell that, he or she is carrying the wrong personality, and mindset towards what gambling really means. Gambling can not make any one rich, and this is just the truth that we need to understand, it is only a fun thing that we engage ourselves. A form of entertainment and being happy to do it, not because you may have the money to write. Gambling will not make any one to be rich.

Hmm.. Bruh, the truth is, I don’t really put that in my mind honestly.. Getting rich through gambling is not really something I see as realistic, at least not for me..  It is mostly luck, and relying on luck to make your life better is risky.

But still I would not pretend it is impossible, if luck really decides to shine your way and everything falls into place, then yeah, it can happen.. But that is extremely rare, and I would not bet my future on it. For me, it is more about enjoying it in small, knowing the risks, and not confusing a lucky win for a proper plan to get rich.

Yes I also do not rarely hear of gamblers who managed to change their lives with just one betting slip, but as you said OP that it is very rare, even the possibility is only 0.0001%, haha the point is very unlikely, meaning that out of the thousands of gamblers who play maybe only one or two people managed to get the big jackpot.

The point is that getting rich in gambling is possible but that doesn't mean you have to pursue it because after all the results depend on luck, gamble with a minimal approach and full of limits because if it's your turn then you can also definitely get a big jackpot.

Oh God. If I were ever in this position I surely would feel defeated.  They have to feel defeated,  trapped or for lack of a better term clusterfucked! I feel for anyone in this spot, I feel that their life must have been either very hard or they just made absolutely horrific choices and that is equally as sad. Addicted gambling is honestly like a disease if you ask me. We have got to pray for these sorry souls.

I know that it is possible to become rich through gambling but it is quite difficult, even when you win big as long as you are still gambling you will lose all or most of the money back to the casino. Realistically you cannot become rich through gambling unless you're extremely disciplined, maybe you take a big win and invest all of it, never use your wins to continue gambling. It is not necessary to quit gambling when you are not winning anything substantial, you can take it like having fun, use small amounts to gamble and accept wins or loses. Gamblers who are desperate to get rich through it will become addicted which is not a good thing.

Gambling is about luck so they must not chase the wins hardly. No one will know when they will win but that will not stop them to keep playing. They expect that they will win in the next rounds but the fact they will still difficult to win.

If they getting trap in their minds, they will not realize that gambling needs luck to win. They will not consider to limits their money but will still use more and more money to win. But that will not gives them the win instead loss.

If I am in that condition, I will limit myself and not trying hard to win. I know that winning in gambling is difficult. I don't want to lose much but I may keep gamble with limitations.
