Crypto currency investment is not what we should be joking with by trying to trading with our crypto currency.

I believe you should be emphasizing specifically on bitcoin because that is what this thread is about instead of using vague terms like “cryptocurrency”. Someone might get confused and think you are talking about some other shitcoin.

Crypto currency like Bitcoin is one asset that is very profitable when Left for a long time.

Bitcoin does not guarantee profit even though we might expect it to be profitable. I respect your optimism though but don’t let us pretend like we know what bitcoin would worth in the long term.

So I am not in support of any individual who is only about making quick cash by trying to trade with their Bitcoin holding. Anyone who is trading without his Bitcoin is actually risking his investment because there is high probability of one losing his money in the process of trading because, trading is a risk thing to do.
Always make sure that you resist the temptation of trading. I don't even know why people even take trading very seriously because compared with investment which has no risk factors involved but only holding for a long period of time. Trading is not an option to me any day.

Perhaps you’re right that trading is very risky, but you seem to be forgetting that just because a person is holding their bitcoin for long term, it doesn’t mean that there is no risk involved with long term investment, the difference is that the risks in long term investment is less than the one in trading so you’re not entirely correct by saying long term investment has no risks invoked in it at all.

well i’m sure that every reasonable investor will know better than to sell their bitcoin this bear period after they must have bought some bitcoin when market was bullish, they may risk being in loss if they try to sell during this period.

Long term bitcoin holders have done well in the past yes, but that doesn’t magically turn anyone’s opinion into a certified future fact. I’ll take comfort in the fact that I know that bitcoin has a very funny habit of humbling people that always think they know it all.

Good that you admitted about the last bitcoin performance but if you do not admit the future performance, satoshi has said there is nothing to say but the future will let you know better. When bitcoin get to ATH, you will not argue again, but if you argue again, it is left for you. I still continue to buy bitcoin only means how confident I am that I will make money from it.

This is a good thread promoting the weekly and monthly buying and holding of bitcoin, this is very nice and I would have loved to become active on this thread since I do buy crypto assets weekly and I do it for my retirement and not because I want to sell it at the first slightest rise in price to make profit, every crypto asset I bought beginning from January this year, I plan to hold em for nothing less than 10 - 20 years from now with the help of God of course.

Reason I said I would have loved to become active on this thread but likely won't is because I see that the thread is focus on promoting the buying and holding of bitcoin alone, myself already hold my desired amount of bitcoin and right now, my focus is one accumulating some altcoins I've carefully studied and approved that it's good for long term investment alongside bitcoin..
Whether we like it or not, believe it or not, bitcoin is not the only investment opportunity in crypto, there are several opportunities in the altcoin market but only those who take their time, carry out a thorough research will find such gems, and the good thing is, any good altcoins invested in now will out perform bitcoin in the long run (in the bull run season), so its good to hold bitcoin and diversify with vere few good altcoins as well..

What we are targeting is the long term price of bitcoin.

The risk of capital involved in trading makes every trader mentally unstable. However, most traders lose money because short-term trading is like gambling. Traders use leverage in the hope of making high profits in a short period of time. The period of price decline is even more difficult for a trader because during this time there is a trend to panic sell and there is a high risk of losing capital.

1. BNB
2. Near protocol
3. Rhea finance
4. Ton
5. Maybe Solana, but I am very OK with the mentioned four.

Due to the current economic condition in the country, hodling 10% of one's income weekly is better because with that percentage you cannot think of tampering with it because it's almost the same as the amount that you can use to have fun and chill out with friends weekly so if you are investing with that mentality, it will remove your thinking away from your investment which means that it will help you to hold for a longer time. Even if you have an emergency need, that 10% you kept in bitcoin may not really be able to sort that need which means that you will find alternative means while you are still hodling. But if you invest a higher percentage, there is high probability that you can tamper with it when an urgent need arise which won't be a good practice as a long term hodler. I voted for 10% because that is the amount i can afford to lose from my income in a week.

The government do not have to buy bitcoin before we should buy bitcoin, more institutions and people will buy bitcoin. I still understand that you are saying about bitcoin adoption, the government will see bitcoin to be good and buy it, we have see that happening already.

One thing I want you to get right mate is that we don’t really need to wait for dips before accumulating and we shouldn’t have the mindset of just thinking that we can only accumulate bitcoin at dips. We can absolutely accumulate bitcoin at any given price with DCA and no need to wait back for dips before accumulating.

However even with DCA we can accumulate at dips but no need to wait for dips. Buying at dips might be a good approach because we might be buying at lower price but never should we prioritize waiting for it, we can be accumulating at any given price but when dips shows up let see it as an opportunity and buy too.

This does not even makes any sense to me. There are many things wrong in this your write up @OmezMac and i will address everything one by one.
First of all, your idea that bitcoin is the next financial system is just the personal belief of some people but i’m telling you now that it is not a fact. Even upon the fact that bitcoin has been able to establish itself as an important major digital asset and a good store of value for plenty of people over the years, it is not really possible for it to replace our traditional financial systems here. Our legal tender status won’t even allow it.let's not forget government control and regulations; bitcoin is decentralized so that means the government will not have any control over it and i’m pretty sure that they won’t allow a system that they cannot regulate or tax to fully replace our national currency. Even the volatility of bitcoin too is another limiting factor to why bitcoin can never truly replace our financial system; best case scenario is that it will be an alternative financial system.

Lastly, what has government buying bitcoin got to do with an investor losing money in bitcoin?…….you seem not to know that bitcoin is only driven by demand, liquidity, speculation and global economic conditions and these are the factors that will determine if you will lose or gain in it so the government has got nothing to do with it, enlighten yourself please.

Any one who is selling their bitcoin now just because of the dip happening in bitcoin price don’t really understand anything about bitcoin investment, dip is the best time to accumulate more and hold, those that understand how bitcoin works very well are accumulating aggressively now, especially those that has strong backup funds which is emergency, reserve and float funds.
If you have a very strong backup funds you have nothing to fear just accumulate aggressively now that bitcoin is on dip, I trust bitcoin very well and I have studied the history growth of bitcoin very well and believe me when I say dip is the best time to accumulate bitcoin.
People have lost their success by selling their bitcoin just because of dip in price, some people have also gain riches by accumulating aggressively during the dip so everyone should choose wisely because bitcoin will grow bigger and better in the future.
