There are many people who are very addicted to gambling, they are not able to get out of their gambling addiction even after trying a lot, but they know how they got to such a stage. In this case, if they advise newbies to bet responsibly while gambling. To bet while keeping themselves in control, then it is important for newbies to listen to their advice and give importance to it. An adult understands very well which advice is good for him and which is bad, so one should not look at who is giving the advice but focus on what he is saying.

No one can be a professional in gambling because no matter how good you think you might be always remember that you are still dealing with probability so there is nothing that can be accurate about any gamblers predictions. One way that i easily detect those that brag and are probably not as good as they claim to be is when they talk about having sure strategies or ways to be in profit, these are immature statements.

You are right but sometimes we have people who are called expertise reason because they don't incur loss like any other average gambler or normal gamblers and there winning rate tends to be a bit or higher than their loss. Though it  can be encouraging for someone to gamble if they are having this success rate in gambling but even with the level of expertise, I still believe luck is the greatest and somehow I think when you have understood to some certain extent you can be more lucky than every other gambler.

I will take advice from them because I will be learning from their own lifestyle. However, the advice am talking about is on how to go about being a responsible gambler and not taking advice on the game to bet on and the rest. The reason why I said so is because that's the right thing. People advise you due to what they have experienced in the past.

If I am comfortable then I will take their advice and see if it has anything useful in it for me and it doesn't really matter what they do with their personal life but usually the suggestions will have more weights when the person who is saying is also following the one, just remember preach what you practice.

But at the end of the day, it is your money and no one will take the blame if you lost it so think smart before making any decsions.

The reality is that gambling doesn't have an end, you can have accounts in 5 or even 10 different casinos and bet and make money and that way you will not even hit the max.

There are so many ways that you can make a million dollars a month and you would still not hit the cap because you can spread to many other casinos and there are enough trustworthy places to spread like that. So if a gambler can actually do a fine job, then there is no reason why they would ask me for money, they should easily earn that in a day.

First of all, unless it is sports betting we are talking about, pointers or tips and stuff about gambling are useless when you are playing casino games because it's purely about luck and no pointer or strategy or advice can actually make you win. Secondly, if I'm a grown-up and have enough sense and understand about everything I do in this world, I don't need advice from someone else about gambling when I clearly know what gambling is and what it can give me or what it can take from me, so I might listen to whatever they have to say because it will rude not do, but I will always do what I think is right for me.

So the simple answer for the question is that I won't take their advice and act upon it, but I will listen to it only to see if they are right or not about things they are talking about. For me, I only do things that I totally understand, whether it's gambling, trading, making investments, or anything in general, if I don't know much about something, I would simply not use it until I understand it well. So if I'm into gambling, I definitely know everything about it, so I definitely don't need a mentor for myself in this regard.

I can not take advice from anyone who thinks that they can teach other gamblers how to play a bet and win but they themselves can not take the risk with their own money (not because they do not have the money, but because they are scared of the losses).
Such people can lead other greedy folks to lose their money in gamble. However, people should start thinking smart that if really it is easy to make a prediction and win a bet, why will they want to share tips with others. The only way I can manage to listen to such gambler is when I know fully well that his winning are from his predictions, I will listen but I will not stake huge amount of money on the bet.

Talk is cheap, that's what a lot of people know how to do, they say so much worse without really achieving that much when it comes to gambling. Taking advice from anyone that always want to talk about how they are always in winning streaks is a very bad and terrible idea. it is best to forget about such people because they are mostly running a scam and tying to convince others that they are more better than others. there is not such thing as a professional gambler so don't let anyone fool you to think they are.

I have met a lot of people like this, where they treat theirselves as the exceptional gamblers that should be imitated by majority. And yet they have no proofs at all that they can gamble with impressive outcome since all they have are just fake identities and exaggerating words to deceive people.

Then you don’t have to listen to people like that. If you are a gambler giving advice to people on how they going to be making money, and you are not making money, then you are not really a professional gambler and you are not suppose to be giving advice. People like this just want to feel themselves, they want people to see them as professional, but they are not.

If you are showing people how to win, then you are suppose to be winning also, even if you are not winning big, you are suppose to be winning small, but if you are not really winning, then don’t even give advice, you are suppose to be seeking for advice.

Whether I will take advice on stranger depends if their advice sounds good.  We should not shut our doors to ideas, strategy and belief of people.  There is always out there that can give a good advice or trigger our imagination to perform better.

But of course, we must shut down those people who offer empty advice.  Those who feel that they are entitled and yet all their advices are hollow, not even a helpful generic idea.

I guess that is too harsh to shut them down or you just used a word that should meant to ignore.

But I agree, we can ignore them if they have empty advices or they want us to gamble more and pushes us through it because they want to see us losing more.

You know that there are gamblers who are like that, enjoys to see the other gamblers lose more money because they've also lost a lot too.

What I noticed is that those who often preach how to gamble responsibly and gamble effectively are those who are definitely the ones needing help. Preaching is their own way to defend theirselves and prove to others that they are gambling the right way, and that they are above the level of the other gamblers around.

And my reaction, I's say NO to them. They are just good in preaching but are never good in their actions and decision making, otherwise they won't be making noise all about gambling if they are certainly gambling effectively.

Absolutely NOT. I might listen to his nonsense because he's my friend, but i would never follow his advice.

Even though he recently had a big win in his gambling, it's highly unlikely we'd achieve the same results as him, because gambling is inherently unpredictable. Just because someone makes a profit and shares tips with you doesn't mean following them will lead to the same outcome.

It’s not without reason. Back when i first started gambling, i followed almost all the tips i received, but instead of making a profit, i fell deeper into the abyss of loss. Now i won’t follow anyone’s tips as long as my gambling budget aligns with what i’ve set. Whether i win or lose in the end it’s enough to just be entertainment.

Yes I found it, in fact he is one of my own friends, he is typical of the first type of gambler you said OP which is always preaching and giving directions on how to gamble properly, starting from tricks, patterns and others, honestly I am very uncomfortable when gambling near this person, even though so far he himself has always lost in playing, it is very annoying, therefore I always avoid when I am gambling and then he comes to me.

Obviously, I will not take any advice from them, especially those who try to lead me to bet aggressively, unless their advice leads to good then I will consider it.

I can't remember how many times I gave advice here already, and I'm proud that I'm doing it because... I can control how  much time and money I need to spend in gambling. I guess I have the right to do it?

Kidding aside, I don't think that there's a need for limitation when it comes to advising other gamblers, but at the same time, we should be applying it to ourselves as well. If we give advice that we should only gamble what we afford to lose then we should do it to ourselves as well. If we're giving advices on how harmful gambling can be, we should apply it to ourselves as well. Luckily, I can, but some can't. We should be aware of ourselves as well like how much we are spending time-wise and money-wise, and our reaction whenever we lose our money because most of the gamblers are being affected negatively whenever they lose their money.

As for taking advice from other people, I guess it doesn't matter if they can't apply it to themselves or not as long as it will be beneficial to us in the long run. Shutting them down doesn't fit anybody. Take their advice and apply it to yourself as long as you know that it will be helpful for you as a gambler. Who will I take advice? Anybody. It doesn't matter who.

If what they are saying is actually true, then it's not a bad idea to take their advice depending if it's a helpful one but when the advice is  harmful instead of service a good course, you don't have any reason to take advice from such person. Since I am experienced in gambling already, I know the things that a non gambler will tell me and I will agree it's true, I also know things that I won't believe if told. So, it depends.

If this advice is meant to be a suggestion, then of course it is good for us to listen to it and consider it, because its purpose is clear and there are obvious positive aspects that could happen.
If the advice is meant to be a way to win, then perhaps we don't need to take it too seriously, but it wouldn't hurt to listen to it because it is a way of showing respect for others.

I'm sure we all have our own thoughts, so yes, what you said is true, it also depends on the situation.

Take advise form people, you may not have to necessarily do what they are doing, you can treat all advise with the probability of being true or not, but know that its not all of these advise may be right, some are not, while some be be right, but we must be able to relate everything to the condition of what we are into and how it applies to us, so that we don't miss out an opportunity from what we could have been informed.

I would take an advice from Olivia "Liv" Boeree, a professional poker player who currently holds the record for the highest pay-out in a poker tournament for a woman at $2,800,000.
