Now that the leadership has changed, so will the stance on many things including economics. They could outright ban crypto in Venezuela if they wanted another storm but I doubt it. That being said, what will happen to the crypto purchases that were made during the previous govt? Stashed like they would if it was gold or other precious metals?

Technically, the US government will be able to confiscate crypto assets if it finds the private keys. Then they'll need to prove that these are criminal coins. However, these assets are likely spread across various wallets, and this isn't a top priority for the US.
