Making profit and feeling weird

So, since last couple days I am playing game called, 'Tower' and having a good run but I feel weird that I am not supposed to be profitable while gambling.

Question being, do you ever feel that way, that when you make profit, you feel that it's not right because gambling is losing game and you are not supposed to make profit?

It's funny that I actually feel same way too, because the mentality that gambling is a game of luck just sets in, and winning consistency is almost an impossibility.

The most surprising scenario would be when you win on a steady occasion within a day for a while, like every option you choose just wins. One could begin to wonder if this could really be luck or the system has being hacked.

But in most cases, this could make gamblers to have so much confidence that they begin to take bigger risks because they feel that luck is on their side. And it would only be a matter of time, before they lose everything but that could only be avoided through discipline.

I hadn't thought about it, but I think it depends on your beliefs. If you were raised that way, you'll differentiate between good and bad, right and wrong, through the lens of your own perception. But that doesn't mean it's right or wrong it just is for you, while for others it will be different. So don't do what's most convenient for you, and if you don't consider gambling to be profitable, you'll likely subconsciously avoid it.

Maybe you’ve already gotten used to losing and just accepted that every time you gamble, you treat it like a donation, that’s probably why you feel that way.

As for me, not really. When I win, I actually feel happy, especially since wins in games like this aren’t consistent. So when the time comes and I get lucky, that feeling hits different. It’s like i feel high, you feel unbeatable for a moment and you really feel the success. Might sound weird, but in a good way, just not the same as how you’re describing it.

Lol ig you're not a regular gambler and your head is full of these shit that gambling only brings loses nothing else. In gambling you will face wins and loses both. But the main thing is managing your bankroll according to your profits or losses. I used to think like this way, specially for slots game. That these are designed to rig people , untill I hit my Jackpot. Everything has ups and downs in life. You just need to learn how you can manage them .

The more thoughts you have like these there are less chance of winning for you. Sometimes too much negativity also cause harm on you decision making. Just enjoy your winning dude

I don't feel this way, and I don't think I will ever feel that way. Winning in gambling is always not high compared to the way we lose. That's correct, but if I'm lucky and I'm very, very profitable, I don't see a need to feel weird about it. I will just consider my luck to be very good, unless in a case where I record any losses at all, then I can start questioning if there is a glitch from the casino side or if it's just luck.

Yep, I’ve thought about that too. A couple of days ago I lost around $200 playing slots, then the next day I won about $100. Kinda weird, because I was on a losing streak and suddenly I got back half of what I lost. Is there something wrong? Not really.
Casinos don’t always drain players every single time, and sooner or later they will give a win, even if the amount is not equal to the previous losses. That’s just how it works.

That means you're lucky, sir. Most gambling activities are detrimental, but if you're lucky, it's different. And that's what many people always hope for in gambling. They get a lucky streak that can make them a profit, especially if they win in a row. Who can deny that? I don't find anything strange. But claiming it directly is luck.

I don't think I have to feel weird for making profits, when I already know that it's an opportunity that I have been waiting for and only have to feel it while itast, we can't predict on whether we can win or not, but whenever the opportunity comes, we just have to embrace the fun and take it, though may feels like a dream, but it's real and meant for us for taking the risk to gamble.

Yes it feels weird because we get used into losing which is not surprising since it was made that way. However, if you feel weird that you are winning, it's an indication that you should secure it. I've been playing for a long time and I know that feeling and most of the time I get too greedy and lost my profit, so instead, save at least 40-70% of your profit and leave the rest if you still want to play or maximize your luck until it runs out. The tower game is like the crash game and dice game, there are times where you are in good streak but there's a time that you'll also lose 20 consecutive losses, so if you are in the profitable side and you started to feel something weird because you are winning, then it's a good time to secure some profit.

Yes, this has happened to me too! My girlfriend says these are basic psychological attitudes ingrained in childhood. For example, there are situations when parents tell their child that money can only be earned through hard, monotonous work. Moreover, earning money always requires a tremendous amount of effort. In practice, this is not true. We know specific examples from real life... However, for a child, parents are the most important people in their life. Therefore, if they hear such statements from them, they become part of their core psychological beliefs. 🙋

No I haven't. It surprises me if I win when I'm not expecting a win. This is why it's good to gamble with little amount of money amd don't put your mind on your bet. However, it's impossible to gamble with big amount of money without putting your mind on your bet.

Gambling is a game that you should expect the unexpected at any time. If I win, I take my profit even though, I'm not expecting it because I will lose tomorrow. But are you really sure that we have gamblers who don't expect profits when gambling for fun?

I don't think I share in same philosophy of gambling wins feeling weird to me, perhaps because I haven't won in a long time and it would make my day feel fulfilled instead, no matter how small the winning is.  
What often feels weird to me is not winning but having a losing streak or more recurring near wins that I didn't get to cash out and manage my profit.

I would conclude by saying it feels weird to our OP because maybe he doesn't usually bet on that Tower game but prefers others and today he decided to try another luck, it clicks and it kind of feels weird coming from a different place of gambling.

I don't remember exactly, but I may have experienced that too. However, I don't remember in which game it was. I felt strange, but not because of my luck. Instead, I wondered how long I would be allowed to enjoy this advantage. So, I stopped playing at that point and secured my winnings.

A few days later, I tried again, and everything returned to normal because I lost more than I had won before.

Gambling can be profitable or detrimental, and it all depends on the luck of the gambler. Personally, I have never experienced the same thing you have experienced, but I have felt unlucky during certain gambling sessions, because the game wasn't challenging enough, and I felt like I was about to drain my bankroll (usually when I was playing slots). Sometimes my guesses were wrong, but sometimes they were right, and I guess that is just a guess, not entirely accurate. I think gambling is heavily influenced by "Luck". Therefore, we need to gamble with money we can afford to lose. By that way, when our bankroll runs out, we won't feel frustrated and overthink about it.

There's no need to feel strange, you should take advantage while you can and that's all you should do. Personally, as long as you're winning and not taking too many risks, everything is fine, The idea is that you bet and don't lose your winnings because you get complacent because you're winning and on a winning streak, Remember that bad things always start with a winning streak, so if you're winning, keep doing it.

Nah, I don't feel it like that when I am winning. It's the positive thing that's ever happening to a gambler when we win. While we expect that we're going to lose as that's how gambling will be. But to be in that so much expectation that you're not even considering of winning as something to react with, I think that you're so invested into thinking that you should be losing all of your bets. If you make a profit, just accept it because the time will come that you're not going to make anything anymore because that's what gambling is and I find nothing wrong if you think like that.

If someone understands the reality of gambling after winning money, then he will definitely imagine in his mind that he can lose. And if someone can understand this reality, then he will withdraw most of the money he won. As a result, his desire or amount of losing money while gambling will be less. What I do after winning money while gambling is that I do not withdraw most of the money and use some of it for gambling. Since gambling provides such an opportunity to win, then regardless of whether you gamble for fun or just for fun, you have the same chance to win. And if you got a prize,  then this is the rare case when you have made a profit, which that you honestly earned it.
