Do you have any Gambling Goals in 2026?

Howdy!

We are almost done with the first month of 2026! Nearly 3/4ths of the way through the month and I am curious to know if anyone had any gambling goals for this year. Have you stuck to your goals so far or have you slipped yet? I think this goes without saying but lets all be as encouraging as we can here and respectful towards one another and their goals. You could have a goal to not gamble as much, maybe to not gamble at all. Maybe you have a goal to gamble more often? lol Who knows! Everyone has goals, but not everyone talks about them so openly so I think we ought to get a decent turn out here.

I will kick us off, my gambling goal for this year is to pick 2 sports that I really like and make a concious effort to study them & the statistics of the teams/ sports and do more sports betting this year. My goal is to be strategic and make educated decisions after studying the players, leauges, games etc. I also have a goal to go to the hardrock at least one time with my buddies for a little fun playing poker!

Hmm, this is like a resolution that is wanted this year in gambling, if I'm not mistaken there is already a thread where it asks for the 2026 gambling target.

In gambling, there is no need to be serious because the purpose of pleasure is not to get bigger results because winning this is impossible for those in gambling to be able to get passive income.

The goal to reduce or stop is actually in your decision, stopping may be better, it's just that I myself will not be in the near future because I like sports betting, especially with analysis that allows the chances of winning to be large. LoL Yep the point is there is no definite target, but as little as possible the gambling bankroll should be small.

I don't take gambling that seriously to start setting goals for it, I feel like setting goals to gamble means are being unrealistic, it is better to set limits than setting goals. in 2026thr only thing you shkuld work on consciously is becoming a more disciplined gambler, focusing on on goals of winning and becoming profitable might just end up becoming disappointing. setting goals might be a reason for gambling irresponsibly, but if setting a goal works for you then you can work on doing that

My goal is the same as last year
- to gamble responsibly
- to continue speak out against irresponsible gambling
- to provide resources and help to those who are struggling with gambling addiction.
- to be more take more gambling breaks because, each breaks brings clarity.
- to try more games outside of what I usually play.

Actually, my goal this year is to reduce my gambling habit. Like a daily lottery, it's a small bet, but doing it daily seems not right?

But if I can't do that, then my goal is to hit the jackpot in the lottery and get less exposure on slots. I hope this year to hit the jackpot. That's primary my goal.

As I said in a similar discussion, my goal is to have fun, it's not a job, and I don't have to set a goal for myself, just have fun.
If I have to count this first month I made $8:( but I can say that I played as usual, won, lost and didn't put the money I earned from the sweat of work there.
This is the best for me, I would like to achieve the victory of a lifetime, as every player desires, I hope, I try but always with serenity.

for 2026 my main gambling goal is control & discipline, last year I realised it’s easy to get carried away so this year I’m focusing more on setting limits & sticking to them especially w/ online casino games if I hit my limit I stop no chasing losses. I’m also trying to make gambling more of a social & entertainment thing not a daily habit maybe a few casual bets during big sports events/playing poker w/ friends once in a while just for fun & good vibes.

Man, this is a tough question for me, since I've never had a profit target on gambling as I always play for fun. I think that my goal for 2026 is more about behavior... keep my bankroll small with a fixed entertainment budget, not chasing losses and take breaks whenever I need to... in short, staying in control like I did at 2025, that is my goal... have a healthy gambling experience that does not become a work or a source of stress.

But, to not be too annoying I think I do have a concrete goal... I am interested to learning more about Cricket, this sport (believe it or not) is not popular at my country (Brazil) but has been increasingly interesting me. I want to follow more games this year, learn more and start placing some bets on it.

In 2026, I don’t have some kind of written out goals, but what is more important is to not get distracted and concede more losses than one did in 2025. I have this kind of mentality that gambling is a game of luck, no matter how strategic you are with it, how you’ve studied the players and team to which you want to be betting on, if you’re not lucky then you’ll not achieve some kind of substantial profits during your engagement with gambling throughout the year.

As a gambler in 2026, I think one should focus more on how to manage their risks. Risk management is one of the important aspect of gambling that many neglect, so one cannot say with much confidence if having those risks can worth it in the long time without proper regulation to abide to being set by yourself. There is a general narrative that gambling is a game of luck, and gamblers gets more losses than wins. That’s true but with good risk management, one can really make the best out of gambling even if they loss more throughout the year.

My gambling goal is still the same as before which is gambling responsibly, avoids addicted to gambling, and not using too much money. I am trying to limits my funds in gambling.

I don't chase the wins because that can makes my lives worst. I considering gambling is a way to release stress but I will not use gambling too often.

Having fun in gambling is the goal so that should be enough for me to use my free time. Limitations is also the thing that I need to do.

You will see people saying that they do not take gambling serious than to use it to have fun, also people saying they want to just gamble responsibly and use little amount of money to gamble. What people will post most will be these, but if it is not something like that but making some aims or goals related to making money with gambling, that means they do not know much about gambling yet.

Well, I'm looking forward to staying the same as what I did last year. Becoming responsible is not as easy as we think. That is why I hope I don't slip up and make a cool gambling journey rather than one full of regrets. Changing behavior is the thing I hope won't happen. I know temptation is out there, but my goal is to remain calm and let those temptations pass.

We only need to have a clear mindset and stop chasing wins. In this way, we can live peacefully.

but do you really think that gambling should be considered as a goal? for me what should be considered as goal is something that we invest our time and effort and get something in return, and not what we will invest time and effort without any hope of getting something in return. although gambling happens to be one of those unpredictable goal, it may or may not be achieved. but for me i still cant count it as a goal.

i dont have a gambling goal, having a gambling goal makes it a business. and we all knows that gambling is mostly considered as a game of fun, which should be done with care, especially gambling with what we can afford to lose should.

My choice of sports has not changed, and I don't have an interest in learning any other sports. I am unlucky to be in a country where we are crazy about a single sport. Learning another game and loving it might take some effort.

Since my earnings have not increased significantly, my gambling budget remains thesame. Time allocated for gambling is still similar since I am still on thesame job. Maybe I might join some good prediction channels where members analyse games and make predictions.

My gambling goal this year is to keep things simple and controlled by setting a clear budget and never betting more than I’m comfortable losing. I want to focus on games and sports I actually understand, instead of chasing random bets or trying to recover losses. If I can enjoy gambling as entertainment while staying disciplined and stress free, then I’ll call that a successful year.

Maybe some on slots and some unique casino games.

In my honest opinion, I don't really have a specific goal for my gambling hobby. I never look at it as a main source of income; to be honest, it’s just a form
of entertainment or a way to pass the time when I’m bored.

My only gambling goal is to keep the bets in sports. That way, I can save more money because I have lost a decent amount in slots. I am trying to stay away from it, and thankfully, I have not spent any money playing it.

The other goal is get a big win in parlays. I won't go betting a high amount of money in just a single bet, but I'd rather place a cheap bet and increase the multiplier through a parlay. It's like a jackpot shot, and if ever it hits, I will be satisfied. Not life-changing but truly a blessing. Rinse and repeat and hope it will win many times. The last goal is to enjoy watching the games and hope every bet will win.

My gambling goal this year is not very complicated, I just wanna gamble without causing any problems. I prefer to keep this activity private from my partner and I want to stay discipline with my emotions so I don’t become greedy or overspend while gambling. I don’t wanna overthink about it, since gambling is just my side activity for me when I’m bored or have some free time. Not many people set goals related to gamble tho, but keeping it simple and controlled doesn’t make it a bad thing.

I wish luck with that, but while you are at that, know that we need to make some silent agreement within ourselves that there is no sure way to statistically understand a game that can give you guaranteed winning so you must make the extra effort to bear the loses when it occurs.

2026 gambling goals is kind off early for me although first month of 2026 is almost over and for that we need to start up with something.

I am late at this since I made few bets and analysis, between I will definitely make more sport bets than anything else, 2026 I will also try to lower my spending on game to maximise my liqudities throughout the year.

This year I have a bit more responsibility. So I have reduced my gambling budget but I have decided to bet smaller amounts. And I will increase my betting areas. I used to bet mostly on football matches based on the country which were not played frequently. But now I have thought about betting on other sports besides football. I have thought about betting on UFC games regularly . But at the beginning of every year I have one goal in mind  to bet more responsibly.
