I dont have any gambling goal. I only have a discipline I must adhere to this year, unlike other years, when I still made those mistakes.

Maybe I have said this earlier, anyway, I'll repeat again. My discipline is to stick with sports betting. Rather than trying all the games in the casino. In addition, I want to increase my monthly bankroll from 10% to 15% of my discretionary income.

I haven't made any serious bets yet in this year, I was busy with my daily work schedule and it's really packed so didn't have time to spend for entertainment. I don't have any specific goals to reach, just stay as usual and avoid getting into any financial trouble as like it in my past years.

We are almost done with the first month of 2026! Nearly 3/4ths of the way through the month and I am curious to know if anyone had any gambling goals for this year. Have you stuck to your goals so far or have you slipped yet? I think this goes without saying but lets all be as encouraging as we can here and respectful towards one another and their goals. You could have a goal to not gamble as much, maybe to not gamble at all. Maybe you have a goal to gamble more often? lol Who knows! Everyone has goals, but not everyone talks about them so openly so I think we ought to get a decent turn out here.

I will kick us off, my gambling goal for this year is to pick 2 sports that I really like and make a concious effort to study them & the statistics of the teams/ sports and do more sports betting this year. My goal is to be strategic and make educated decisions after studying the players, leauges, games etc. I also have a goal to go to the hardrock at least one time with my buddies for a little fun playing poker!

I gamble almost frequently but gambling isn't part of my life's lessons so there's no point setting a goal for it because it's not that serious and I gamble mostly because I entertain myself through gambling and if there's going to be a goal for gambling it should be to continue gambling responsibly and never allow myself to get addicted to it, I don't chase losses so I would like to continue gambling that way and that should also count as my gambling goal for the year. I have always been careful with balancing my gambling life and my real life so my goal is to continue that way and maybe I should also set helping addicted gamblers to come out from it as this year's gambling goal.

I plan to give sports betting attention this year, not like I usually don't spend much time analyzing games. I just make a pick with little checking and place my bet on it this year. I plan to put more effort and see if my winning rate will get a bit higher compared to what I experienced last year, as I always consider myself to be too lazy if I check the type of attention people give to game analysis.

What's can be more simpler of a gambling goal than just not to be a gambling addict in the course your gambling habits because there are some crazy things that gambling can make you do that in the end you will just end up being regretting so in the course of your gambling what everyone should do is just to be aware of their habit and be careful so that they don't get twisted and all tangled up in debts and many more.

My gambling goal this year should be on how i would maintain a good gambling habit i mean to stay responsible just like other years because i don't think about setting any other goal aside from this, i know you might be surprised to hear this but yeah, i don't think if i can achieve anything better from gambling if not the fun because as time goes by that's the more the casino is becoming more harder to get so i don't want to be like those gamblers who are making unrealistic expectations. I think this should be the most important gambling goal that anyone should plan to have in this New Year, If you were a responsible gambler from last year, your plan should be to remain a responsible gambler this year and not become reckless, And if you are a reckless gambler in the previous years, your goal in this 2026 should be to gamble more responsibly and practice safer gambling habits.

That should be at the top of everybody's list.

Does having a gambling goal really change anything? Does it affect the outcome of matches or give accurate predictions through analysis?

Maybe a little, but for me I would just work on playing fewer games reducing the total return profits to the bare minimum and stack up slowly, and of course through analysis.

As much as analysis might not accurately determine the outcome of matches, it actually helps to reduce the possibility of losses through team and player analysis, and other external factors like injuries and dressing room decorum.

I don't have specific goals, last year I made a lot of money from gambling & I thought I should do it again this year. Instead of calling it goals, I prefer to call it resolutions. I hope this year I will gamble more responsibly, not that I was irresponsible last year. We know that when we go out of our limits, our foundations can be destroyed, I just keep it on track, well, that's all.

TBH, I do not attached much hope or activities on gambling as I believe that whenever I feels like to gamble I would fund my account to gamble, I didn't see it as an obligation or a responsibility to be thinking about gambling in any way. In fact, it's a casual activity I do join whenever I am that chance from other works out there, sometimes I might decide to make fewer bet and after which then I let it slide without attaching much feelings to it as I wouldn't to get emotional affected while gambling.

My main goal was to continue gambling as I usually do, not putting at stake much more than I can afford to lose. And, yes, I have stuck to that goal and I hope it will be that way for the whole year ahead. My another goal is to win with 2,000+ multiplier on slots(I've got two 1,000+ wins on slots behind my back) and to win with 20,000+ on mines(I won with 10,000x recently, but it was last year). Hope those goals will be reached in 2026.

Yes, my gambling goal this 2026 is to win more than the way I won last year which I have already started. But that doesn't mean that I wouldn't carried away by the excitement of the game because I know that gambling involves losses than winnings so I would continuing to gamble responsibly without getting caught up on the game, since we can't get it correctly without losing I would always stick with discipline because there is nothing more than being in control of yourself and stop at the right time so that is my goal, nothing more than that.

Good luck to that because in sports betting, we don't become stable in it whether you're good with your picks.

But that's a good plan that you've set for this year because maybe you'll have a good run and success rate you'll have is greater than the others.

As for mine, it's not a good rate but I'm encouraged of what you've said and so maybe this is our year in sports betting.

Nothing much on my side. No new year gambling resolution for me. I have not watched my income increased this year 2026 yet where I am to say okay, I will be increasing my gambling financial budgets.

I am also still that responsible gambler who had long been sticking to make budgets of values I can afford to loose. Therefore I don't see myself gambling too much yet to even assume I am not on the right track with my gambling plans.

There is not just nothing to adjust for now and so then, there is no specific goal for 2026.
Maybe the only change inside of me pertaining my gambling is the u realistic wishes to win more than I could lost because while I craves for the fun in the gamble, I also craves to make profits to spice it up. Lol.

I actually haven’t thought of this… But after reading this, the first thing that comes to my mind is to lessen my losses. Seems vague lol. I don’t really have specific strategy or rules in order for me to achieve it. But how am I supposed to achieve it? Perhaps, I’ll try to lessen the time and money I spend on gambling and sports betting. Maintaining a positive experience also requires constant effort, otherwise everything can fall apart in an instant. I'd even say it's like holding yourself in a situation where you can't fully relax. As for my goals, they're primarily about improving my emotional control. I think that's what I need to work on the most this year, given how much negativity is happening in the world. It's important to maintain resilience to negativity and losses, while also maintaining a positive attitude.

Naturally it is logical that you would not want to be bound too tight to a fixed agenda but in fact that is what will lead to unwarranted anxiety. The point that there is always the need to balance both entertainment and self control is correct regardless of the fact that the budget may be more loose. We should know that in many cases, freedom of choice leads to a real happiness. Flowing with the tide is the genius in our case.

I don't have any specific needs or goals for gambling. I only gamble for fun, not to make money. I don't have any specific goals for 2026, but I will not gamble in a way that will make me a curse for my gambling. I want to end 2026 with more discipline and responsibility in gambling, just like I ended 2025. I also spent most of my time in sports betting in 2025 and didn't play much in casino games. I will go ahead with such signs in 2026.
