Hello !

i'm the happy owner of a brand new Antminer S19k Pro but since almost the beginning (i have it since last week, so never had big period without rebooting yet), sometimes, randomly, the real hashrate is dropping to 0 but no sign of failure on the UI and displayed datas are OK, except Real Hashrate...
Today was the last time it done it, it was running for 8h and then dropped to 0 Th/s.

Here are the logs from the boot until the hashrate drop, i'll be happy to get some help to find the problem (if it's on miner side) and get some tips on what can be done on my end to check potential connector issues or something :

Have you tried to check if the power supply is providing stable power? If you are using an extension, try plugging the unit directly into the wall outlet and observe if still dropping. Take note, this unit was built to run at 220v; if your power source is 110v, this won't run normally.

You are getting some crc error and pointing to a bad ASICs there are many possible cause by these errors. You'd better try the basic things first before considering that these two hashboard defective.

Do some software first before touching anything related to hardware. I suggest try to restore to the factory default.
If the issue persist try the SD card flashing and then upgrade it to the latest firmware.

If it didn't fix your issue, try running the unit with Braiins OS and then test it again, check the logs, because sometimes Braiins OS bypasses these few ASIC issues.

If it runs normally without rebooting, then you can continue using it, but if it shows some errors in the logs and you want to fix those issues, try replugging all cables from the control board to the hashboard, which is a data cable. You can also try to clean the plugs and terminals and test it again.

If not, of these works since it's brand new, you can send them back to Bitmain for repair or replacement.

Thanks for your answer.

Currently, both PSU cables are plugged directly into the wall, they are just plug in 2 zigbee connected socket who should support +3000W and 230v (for power usage tracking) which is plugged into the wall socket, that's the only difference but maybe it can interfere ?
Thanks for the tips, i will try to do the softwares things like the reset factory and for the flashing sadly my s19k pro don't have SD card port, only micro usb so i can't test other OS without flashing directly and risking warranty because of replacing Bitmain firmware so not great... or maybe buying a new controller but idk how it works for that.

and if still present will try to plug everything again

Thanks !
i'll keep the post updated

Actually, the firmware you are going to flash is the official firmware from Bitmain since the Braiins OS does not support this unit for flashing via SD card.
If your unit only has a micro USB, then you'll need a micro SD card reader to connect it to your unit.

Use the firmware from the link below

Those firmwares are official firmware from Bitmain, and it won't break the warranty unless you flash it with unauthorized firmware like Braiins. But my suggestion for Braiins OS is to boot it, not to flash the unit just to try the unit if it works or not, and to know other hints under Braiins logs.

I don't know why you come up buying a controller if you don't want to break the warranty?

Hello,

i'm currently on firmware "FR-1.28(251010-S19k Pro)", i heard there is some restriction with recent firmware.
You mean i need to buy a micro-USB OTG adapter to try to install the SD firmware by using the micro SD port ?

Yes, that's exactly what I mean since you said that it doesn't have an SD card slot and it has a micro usb then use that to communicate with the unit. You can use an OTG adapter

You can either flash the original or stock firmware or boot a different OS, as I said, Braiins OS won't flash to NAND, but you can boot the Braiins via OTG adapter and micro SD card reader.

Alright!

So if i got it well, i flash the FR1.28 with the OTG adapter to the "AML-19k-Pro-202311151447-sd-card" and from here, i will "theoretically" be able to flash a custom firmware ?
I saw VNISH firmware can works better than Braiins OS for NAND systems, any tips on that ?

Thanks! Smiley

It depends on the custom firmware if it supports the current version of your unit, but I don't recommend flashing it with custom firmware if you care about the warranty.
About which one is better for me, both of them perform well; you can test both of them.
