siri, alexa, google home or many more are some of the well known virtual assistants or chatbots you can talk to via voice and give them commands

today i asked siri what was the price of bitcoin and it answered correctly. aren’t they just older versions of AI? though when i asked siri whether or not bitcoin will rise, it didn’t say anything definitive.

when you are sending some bitcoin or making transactions, will you trust siri or any other virtual assistant to do it for you? how safe are we with them listening?

If you want to be private, in is better you do away with the AI that can easily collect information from you.

Why do you want to use AI for making bitcoin transactions when bitcoin transaction is super easy to make?

Know that the AI that you listed can not be used to make bitcoin transaction. I do not know of other bots like a Telegram bot and Telegram wallet which I can never use.

We know that what artificial assistants like Google Assistant, Siri, and Alexa do is pass on information that they have been given or get information available across the web. So if you ask Siri the price of Bitcoin, it can easily give you the accurate answer because the answer is readily available on the web, but when you ask it if Bitcoin will rise, you're indirectly asking it to tell you the future,e and whatever it tells you will be based on the analysis it has available and it will always be a speculation or a prediction, meaning it can be wrong.

A virtual assistant or AI can tell you if it will rain tomorrow; in fact, my Google Assistant does ahead to tell me what time I should expect rain in my area, even though it is only about 75% accurate, but that doesn't mean it can tell the future because it uses the data that is used to predict the weather. If AI or a trading bot tells you Bitcoin will rise by next week, it's only speculating like anybody else; the difference is, it has more data, and it depends on the software.
It depends on the software because Siri, for example, was not built to analyse Bitcoin's future price, so a software that was built to analyse Bitcoin's price might be more accurate.

Are you kidding?

You want to grant AI access to perform a transaction for you, something that even yourself can do and make mistake, now entrust using AI on such, that must be pretty cool, because it's the easiest way to lose your money and say goodbye, this is where many are already missing it, AI can't perform everything for you as you may want it, not even on aspect like this, there could be complications from the prompt order you give and this cannot be corrected, because they are bots (zombies).

Even if you have watched a lot of AI/Robot movies it shows that you haven't learnt anything from them at all, do you know that the likes of chatbots can be hacked? They can be corrupted and borrowed for a while without the owner knowing because nothing seems off, and yes your dear siri can be asked to share your information and other things too.

Moreover you are warned to never share your keys with anyone and always keep them offline, asking a computer or AI to make transactions when these assistants are using the internet to function is very dangerous, don't ever think about this possibility again, even if it's possible they are not safe.

Why would I need to have an AI do something so simple to me when I can do it so easily, it's not something so difficult to rely on the help of an AI. Especially if we know that the AI is taking all the information given to it, I just do not want that my transactions are stored and become the subject of analysis and training of this AI.
I also don't really trust AI or any assistant to do transactions for me because they could make errors or system mistakes that could result in my losses.

It's hard to rely on an AI chatbot when it comes to investment. It can give suggestions, but it's still hard to predict the future; even though AI pays, it can still make mistakes. So when it comes to the investment decisions I make, I will never leave it up to AI, even for professionals, it's difficult to just follow what they do because it's inevitable to make mistakes, and every decision you make must be one hundred percent that you yourself want. So that even if you win or lose, you know that you are the one who did the work and you will have no regrets .

Believe me, you wouldn’t want to rely on Siri for recommendations. It’s so bad that Apple had to integrate Google Assistant into iOS. Apple knew Siri wasn’t making meaningful progress, so for users’ sake, they chose to coexist and partner with Google.

If it’s truly decentralised, I’d go for it. But if it’s connected to any centralised system, I wouldn’t dare allow an AI assistant to handle crypto or any financial transaction for me. Even today, transactions require security codes as a safeguard. With AI advancing so rapidly and becoming capable of mimicking individuals, relying on that alone isn’t enough. For now, adding passkey verification with fingerprint and face authentication would be a reasonable layer of security.

Technology is evolving at an incredible pace, and it’s not far-fetched to imagine a future where voice commands can execute transactions flawlessly. Still, what I want is a decentralised AI assistant, one that doesn’t depend on centralised networks for firmware updates. Instead, its firmware and core data should be fully controlled and stored by me, similar to how a cold wallet secures crypto assets.

I think any AI that provides you a definitive answer to such a question is an embarrassment. And Grok agrees. It says, "anyone claiming 100% sure direction is either lying or selling something." Cheesy

I can't remember trusting even another person to make a Bitcoin transaction on my behalf, so I don't think I'd trust an AI for that, either. I manually check Bitcoin addresses at least 3 times before I finally broadcast a transaction.

AI surely can sound like a good little helper, but he usually hallucinates a lot and is prone for mistakes.. If the model is not pretrained properly, it's not suited nor for good source of info and reasoning, nor the trust.

I would not trust any virtual assistant or AI with my money. I would not even trust them with access to my money.

All it takes is one little bug or glitch and all your money is gone. Why would you trust a piece of software, which was probably written by some random half baked "coder" from india?

Although AI is a different thing than assistants or chatbots that you are talking about, we know it makes mistakes and hallucinates quite frequently...

You cannot be disclosing important things like your password of your wallet to AI, we've been talking about keeping your password or your seed phrase very private, because if you allow voice assistant like Siri to help you make Bitcoin transactions and probably it has your logins, trust me another voice that might not be your own who might have seen you do it, may want to use your phone and try it, and if it gets unfortunate with you and Siri recognizes the voice to be yours, then your portfolio will be emptied before you even notice it. So no i cannot trust an AI to help me make Bitcoin transactions.

Why would someone ‘trust’ AI chat bot or assistant to make a bitcoin transaction for them? When you can easily do that within minutes in a very simple way..basically it is a really terrible ideas to even think about this.

how safe are we with them listening?

AI aren’t always right even though it might be a bit rare for them to make mistake but they make mistakes in topics that aren’t readily available on the web because they evaluate your question and find a matching answer to it from sources across the web.

From this topic I can see that the future with AI will really make the next gen dumber and dumber because of laziness! This is a sad reality.

I don't think AI is authorized to enter your wallet or anything financial on your phone. If you curious and want to test it, you can ask Siri to help you send money on your bank app and you will see the response I'm talking about. It's not authorized to do so many things on your phone.
AI isn't in the state yet where it can fully do that and not even siri can do that. The way way siri works and some other AI, they have limitations to some certain prompts on your phone, the developers don't want to responsible for loss of funds.

I'm curious, how do you intend to give AI that command? Hey siri, can you  help me send 0.1 Bitcoin(BTC?) to wallet_name(how do you even identify wallet). Have you consider coin control, things like label and the fee? This is going to be hard but perhaps if we have a dedicated AI trained to understand how to send a Bitcoin transaction. I don't think I can use this, it's going to be the most custodial wallet ever made, you can't do this in a non custodial wallet.

when you are sending some bitcoin or making transactions, will you trust siri or any other virtual assistant to do it for you? how safe are we with them listening?

To be honest, if you actually knew how these chatbots work, you wouldnt be asking such a clueless question.

Siri is not "artificial intelligence" in the way one might think; its simply a voice-enabled scraping and searching tool.  When you asked Siri what the price of Bitcoin was, it retrieved that data from the website, not because it somehow "knows" what Bitcoin prices are.  Siri didnt give you a definitive answer to your question about future price because it is programmed to protect Apple from being sued by idiots who lose their money in an investment because they relied on Siri for financial information.

So as far as trusting a virtual assistant with your financial information, you are a fool if you do.  If you are too lazy to handle your own private keys and transactions, you deserve to be scammed or hacked.  These devices are literal wiretaps.  If you are comfortable broadcasting your private financial information to Apple or Google servers, you clearly dont understand why Bitcoin was invented.
