Is it possible to bet against the club that you do fans?

I know that some people will prefer not to bet against the club they fans with and even when they know that there is very tendance of losing the match yet they will not make use of the opportunity they have to win money, I'm being honest that i have bet against my club to lose that particular match because i know that my club can't win their opponent and i won the game, so i really want us to share our experiences if you can actually bet against your club to win all times, even when you know that there are some matches that will be so difficult for your team to win or you will not near that particular match because it is your club that is playing then you will prefer placing bets on other teams to win or draw.

For me it doesn't matter who I wish to bet on or bet against. Be it my favourite club or not, if the odds are not in their favour I will simply place a bet against them. Most gamblers make the mistake of thinking too much or placing too much hope on their fan club. If I see that in a season my club isn't doing very well, I sill simply bet against them. The goal is to make some profits from every money that we risk, so there's nothing bad in making such moves. If you know you can't stand it, then it's best to not bet at all and just watch the games instead..

Long ago I found myself struggling to put a bet on the defeat of my favourite team and after a while I came to the conclusion to di it more often than not when they face a stronger or equal team and I think it there are chances they could lose the could lose the match, this way at the end of the day I will be happy for some reason or another : either because I won the bet or my favourite team beated a direct competitor in this important match.
On the other hand betting on your team's victory might lead you to a double disappointment where you lose your money and you the match as well-

This depends on the individual and how much confidence their have I the club. It can also depend on the ability of the individual to overcome emotions and follow the money. In case of the later, a player will comfortably bet against his team if that is where the money is and that will not make him a bad supporter, its just business before pleasure. The moment your support cannot allow you bet what you think is logical and right, then such support is very close to fanaticism which can be dangerous if ot properly managed. i think the best thing is not to mix fanaticism with money. if i make money when the other team wins, and feel even the slightest bit of sadness when my own team wins, that's not right. at least a true fan shouldn't do that. perhaps the most logical thing in such a situation is to bet on your own team to win.

if you bet against the other side, you're essentially splitting your thoughts in two. your rational side wants the money, while your emotions want to support your team. i think that's why it's a bad situation.

It is not a betrayal at all, it is that the players in the team are not performing well, so people should not go for what is performing well. Example is Liverpool that do surprised people with losses in few seasons while the opponents have bigger odds.

The only people that can be effected are the people living in the country that the league is played, they will find it difficult to support the club that is not from their city also in bet. If they know they will lose if they will support club in their city, many of them will not bet at all. They are so fan to the extent you will see them walking from their city to the city that the match will be played the cities are not that far from each other.

Unless you are doing it strictly for fun otherwise there is no reason to always bet on your teams to win every game. if you are a fan of Manchester city betting against them would not seem right to you if you don't consider logic more than favouritism. statistically you should know that they are not in a good form abandoned betting on them might be a bad idea but most bettors don't think like this.

Being a clue fan involves been able and willing to support, celebrate and mourn with your club when need arises, and a true football fans will always support his club to win even when facing the strongest of all clubs and he knows the chances of winning is very low. However, there are another football fans whose priority is in making profits and support only clus that have a greater chances of winning, despite been a fan of a particular football club. And a person of such category can easily place a bet on his opponent team to win as a consolation when his club loses. And for me, that's exactly what I will do if I happens to see a club that have been proven to be stronger and undisputable in the current season facing for favorite club. Because if eventually my club wins, I will be happy, but if they loses, my account will be on profit.

What a bettor perceived in his mind speak better on its decision if a bettor chose loss instead of wining such gambler may places club ahead of wining even if the evidence is clear on the club previous performance and with all odd that they can't survive that particular game is choosing. It is possible.. while I understand that people are core hard fans if the team they support it also good for them not to be sentimental. I fir one am not. I know when my team has strength and when they are weak. As much as you wan to support your team, you dint want to lose money either, that doesn't mean you are not fan enough. In gambling you dont need to be sentimental do you know you can support your club in a bet and still lose, so if you think betting against your club will make you win then you need to do it.

I agree that betting against the club you are a fan of is not betrayal at all. Most people gamble solely for profit and don't have any business with club loyalty. Loyalty to fans shouldn't influence our bets because money is involved. You wouldn't be wasting money on gambling because you are loyal to a club. What do loyal fans benefit from clubs, absolutely nothing. The players and clubs are making money and fans are only entertained. I prefer to bet based on analysis rather than club support. I don't allow passion to limit my sense of reasoning.

When you know the club you’re supporting is definitely going to flop and lose the match, I see no reason not to bet on the opponent to win, to me it would be unwise to still bet on a team you know that it’s going to lose.

I have done it countless number of times, and that doesn’t make me any less of a fan for the club, when they win, I am there supporting them, and also when they lose I am there supporting them and still in any argument I’m still ready to call them the best team ever and point out my reasons for supporting them but that won’t hinder me from making a few bucks off of them.
