I regret not investing in Bitcoin throughout the years. I didn't understand it at the time, although I was still young and didn't understand a lot of things. I feel like I didn't have the right mindset of what is Bitcoin exactly.

I regret mostly not being curious enough to go and understand it instead of blowing it off. If I had invested a couple of days in understanding it how it worked, what it did and for what, I would have bought some and held.

I now have 0.1 BTC and I am DCA-ing every month 1k-1.5k euros. I am targeting 1 BTC but if these talks are true about Bitcoin reaching 1m$ in 4 years, I fear I will be priced out of ever hitting my target...

You nailed it. That's a fact that others still don't recognize. They keep on ranting that they have missed the train and never bought when it was too cheap.

It's hard to move on with their situation because they think that buying now is quite late when they're able to witness it when the price is affordable for them.

But they shouldn't dwell on that thinking because if they really believe in bitcoin and it's still early, they have less talk but more action of accumulation.

I don't think that regretting what has passed will change anything in the future, it's just something that means nothing other than taking up time and thoughts without really giving any meaning. and because of that there is no need to regret why you didn't buy in earlier years, but regret because you even though you have the opportunity to accumulate now, but still hesitate to buy.

But, what makes everyone different is that some learn immediately from these regrets and try to correct them so they'll start accumulating returns, while others keep procrastinating, yet won't stop blaming their past mistakes for the delay. They are not just serious.

My mindset and thinking are a bit different, because I believe regret is natural, and it is right to be regretful for not buying early, especially for those who knew about Bitcoin and even had funds to buy it, but still didn't do it because they didn't believe it would make it this far. Those who didn't even know about it shouldn't regret anything. I also believe that those who were early investors or miners but sold their bitcoins very early and didn't hold any of it shouldn't regret doing so because if any of us were in their situation, we would probably do the same thing and sell as soon as we would be getting a good amount based on that time.

The reason why I say that being regretful for not buying early is well-deserved is because those who accumulate today won't be able to enjoy the thing later that those who if had bought earlier could enjoy today. I'll explain, if someone had bought Bitcoin between 2012 and 2015, they would be ultra rich today, having bitcoins worth billions of dollars if they had bought a good amount of it, but those who accumulate today won't be able to experience this even after a decade or so.

You came to the forum today and you know all about this already, this is brilliant if true. It's not easy task to accumulate Bitcoin.

The truth is there is no need to be angry because you refused to buy some fraction of Bitcoin, what stop many people was because they didn't know the price will be juicy like this, only few people believed the price will do better and those people are the rich people of today buy the people that are buying now will be the people that are going to enjoy the next life changing money.

If it's not paying now, it's going to pay later, we can't expect people that are injecting billions into Bitcoin investment to be at lost in the future, every money invested today are going to come back later as investment with profit. So we that has some fraction compare to them don't have much and there is nothing to fear about, unless you are doing it with the money you can't afford to lose. If you are doing it with money you fear nothing about, then you are covered.

The best time to buy and hold is now, like the common saying although those who bought bitcoin during the early days benefited a lot but, not an excuse why anyone should not accumulate now either regrets or not. Because I have so many times, heard people saying how they missed accumulating Bitcoin when it was at a low prices, still they are making the same mistake of not accumulating Bitcoin currently. I don't know whether they are looking for the perfect price or they are still not ready to risk their money on Bitcoin or should I say they are not emotionally ready to watch Bitcoin price fluctuate up and down without anyone control.

Why the regret when you know it was your fault, you chose not to buy and invest in bitcoins in 2010 because you were scared, you felt it will not survive and now that it has survived you are regretting why not forget about the last and focus on the future that you are into, so that you will have to struggle and buy more bitcoin persistently, regularly and aggressively by using your dca strategy to accumulate daily, weekly or monthly no matter how little or much it is since it is stress free.and allows gradually stocking of your coins

Instead of regretting I rather focus on accumulation. The past can't be recovered but the future can be secured. Accumulation is the only way out of future regrets because even in coming years there will still be people who will still be on the regret lane and we won't want to follow that path again. Personally I don't like pressure so I enjoy moving within my pace while keeping everything simple and affordable. The goal is to remain consistent in whatever strategy we choose and keep the accumulation target on top priority.

DCA has proven its worth and effectivity regarding bitcoin accumulation. Rather than thinking on how we can make up from the past mistakes, it will be a good move if we start DCAing regardless of bitcoin's current price. This is only the solution so we won't stay regretting and blame ourselves why until now we are still not building our bitcoin portfolio.

However, bitcoin accumulation is never a do or die. Of course, its still left to individual's choice, but if you want to create positive changes in your life, then start buying and accumulating bitcoin, and hold them as long as you can.

Thank you for the encouraging words! I will keep DCAing into Bitcoin no matter the price with excess money that otherwise would stay either in a stock or bank account. I truly believe it will be worth it in the long run

What are your thoughts?

To begin with, it is very good advice to focus more on the future than on what might have happened in the past if we had acted differently. This applies in general, not just to financial matters or specifically to Bitcoin.

Then, as I said recently in another thread, slow and steady wins the race. Accumulating as much Bitcoin as you can each month is the foundation of a prosperous future.

But I think it's worth incorporating this into an overall financial plan, where you keep track of your expenses and income so you can save and invest the difference, get rid of consumer debt if you have any, and make sure you have an emergency fund before you start investing.

Looking back on the past we often regret why we didn't invest in Bitcoin and so on. But we also need to remember that we can't turn back time and the past remains the past, and it can't be undone. We can only learn from the past. If we regret not learning about Bitcoin in the past we should now turn it all into an opportunity for the future and avoid repeating the same regrets.

Because investing in Bitcoin is never too late. The current price of Bitcoin is indeed very expensive compared to 10 years ago but believe me in 10 years, Bitcoin will seem cheap because Bitcoin is a fundamental asset, so its price will continue to rise especially when facing the Bitcoin halving cycle that will create a new ATH. So don't regret the past keep doing DCA so you won't regret it in the future.

Yeah, I agree with it, as no one knew that one day Bitcoin would reach this level of height, and there is no doubt we can just make a move without getting any surity about anything in the world but we can do as a better act of us is only that we can do a better research before making any move and no other things are in our hands that we can say being so sure about the future as there are a lot of thing that are unpredictable and especially if we talk about crypto industry then you also know that this space is very unpredictable. Yeah, that's so true, as the majority of the people consider DCA for buying dip of the market only, but the reality of it is way different from what they consider it. One should keep buying Bitcoin after each planned interval rather than sticking to only buying dips of the Bitcoin market. And other than this, buying or accumulating bitcoin only depends on each person's plans. What do you think about it?

The biggest losers are those who only complain and don't take any action. People will always lament about missed opportunities, which is not a bad thing. But it becomes wrong when the opportunity is still available and you don't take advantage of it. I believe Bitcoin has the potential to hit $1m in the future. Those who only complain without action will also regret that they didn't buy at the current price.  We should be grateful that we have knowledge about Bitcoin, as many people remain uninformed.

The truth is everybody knows how to talk but not everybody knows how to take action, that is why there are still people who will continue complaining and people will leave them behind.
One thing we should know is that complaining doesn't change anything it does not equal action. Instead of complaining and regretting the past, just join the moving train. Bitcoin market opens 24/7 and it will be there many years with less likely any sudden death. Honestly I don't imagine any future that Bitcoin will be dead so this market will continue lively and gives us many opportunities and time. Like people who knew about Bitcoin in the past, some took chance and bought bitcoin while some others did not take proper action.

It's the same at the present and in the future, we can take action, accumulate bitcoin and create our advantages compare to late comers in this market. If we missed opportunity of investing $10,000 in Bitcoin in past years, we can gradually do it by accumulating bitcoin with DCA with time and will build up our portfolio to $10000 in the future. For example if they can spend $50 weekly for DCA, in four years, total investment capital will be $10,450 already.

life is full of regrets but life is not really over until it is so there’s really no point of regretting when things are still in our control we all would have wanted to buy earlier but it has already passed and we should think about the now
