Crypto or stocks investment which is do you prefer?

Stock market is fine but the volatility and the ROI is far lower in it when compared to bitcoin.
One thing that we can do with bitcoin is invest in it and forget and not worry about the volatility at all.

I think it's the right choice. Instead of choosing one, I prefer both. Stocks can provide more stable returns, but Bitcoin is the future, and I think it can generate greater profits. I own several stocks, and honestly, I like the dividends they offer, but as I said, dividends can't provide the same returns as Bitcoin. I own shares of a certain local cooperative. The annual dividend is around 10%. I've been a member for several years. There was only one time when the dividend was below 10%. For the rest, the dividend has always been above 10%. So, here's the difference. Although Bitcoin can easily surpass the ROI overall, it isn't regular and consistent. There might be years when you'll register a loss rather than a profit. The key is to hodl. But if you want a more or less consistent return every year, there are other options. Bitcoin must be part of the portfolio, that is an important note in my opinion, if we only invest in one asset, we are afraid that you will think too much and our mentality will not necessarily be strong when it comes to price fluctuations, we can say don't care about the bitcoin that has been bought, just save it and forget about it, but in fact it is not like that if your investment asset is only in one single asset, even though the ROI is very tempting, mistakes can happen during the investment period which you have to consider in the long term.

I don't know if it is possible to own shares of these big companies effectively with $500-$1000, but it is possible in crypto. If someone keeps buying Bitcoins for $10 every week, they can accumulate 2,080 USD/4,160 USD after 4-8 years. This is just the amount deposited, so no profit is taken here. But we know that Bitcoin's supply is limited and its real power comes from time, compounding and limited supply. So the real power can be seen in using price fluctuations according to plan. So even though $10 seems small, time turns this small investment into an asset and what once didn't seem like an investment grows into a wealth.

The point is where your eggs will be deposited, there indeed your experience and knowledge have been tested. If you know stocks very well, of course that's a good thing, no problem.

For me, i'd prefer to use both combined. Stock for long term hold, while crypto for short term hold. I see no different between crypto and stock. Both are volatile, and speculation assets. However, if you're seeking dividend for long term, so stock much more preferable. It's also periodically reporting the finance of company, which much more transparent instead of majority of crypto companies. Meanwhile, crypto company often last only for a few years, then it's going nowhere. That's the reason it's not good for long term, except blue chip coins.

This is true, but not entirely sufficient. This also depends on the timeframe and your entry price.

While Bitcoin has fallen from $126k in mid-October 2025 to date. SP500 and Nasdaq have consistently reached record highs alongside the metals market at the same time. It is clear that investors in metals and stocks are making higher returns than we are.

One thing that we can do with bitcoin is invest in it and forget and not worry about the volatility at all.

Longterm investing can apply to most asset classes, including stocks or precious metals.

Of course, for those of us in the crypto space, our priority is really to invest in Bitcoin and the other top 10 cryptocurrencies in the market. Now, the stock market is also good, as long as we know what we’re doing there. Even Forex is a viable option; however, I think you need a broker for that unlike in the crypto space where a broker isn't necessary and the market is open 24/7.

That "knowledge" you mentioned is often the most underrated part of the crypto journey learning about decentralization, self-custody, and global economics is a huge edge.

This has always been quite a complex issue because many people always try to say that what they do is the best and don't really care about the opinions of others who even think that other people's opinions are wrong and we are always right because of a bigger ego.

Even though we know all have advantages and disadvantages including in the investment choices made because it all comes back to the risk and level of understanding of each individual.
I used to be a pretty tough person and even debated people who said our choices were wrong but increasingly I think we cannot be naive because every head has its own thoughts and it will be very selfish when we try to impose what we believe in to others because it is like limiting and we seem to close our eyes to the opinions of others.

Investment would be better served as a freedom regardless of what is invested, everything is valid as long as we believe in what we are doing regardless of stocks or crypto as long as we have an understanding in it I don't think it is a problem because everyone has the right to make their own choices without the need to say which one is the best and force others to agree with what we believe.

I have only seen people who trade on the stock market and make profit. I have not tried it out myself. I'm more conversant with the crypto market, and I prefer to stick with what I know rather than go with what I don't know or have much knowledge about. Unless things change in the future, then I can pay little attention to it or just use asset managers.

I'm suspect to talk about this, because my entire journey on financial world was through Bitcoin investment, and it has worked greatly for me, therefore, it's a natural choice in my case that I prefer the cryptocurrency route.

However, investments aren't static and what worked for me might not work for you, because we are talking about timing. Maybe there is already a superior investment to Bitcoin right now which people aren't talking about yet, and if you manage to be one of the early adopters, you are going to make a decent progress by investing on it before everyone else does.

Yeah I agree, I never invested into anything else before bitcoin. I mean I have tested stocks in a game and what not, but never invested a serious amount in anything other than bitcoin all my life because I have been here since I was young and it's been 10+ years now and still here and I can tell easily that I am happy with my decision. Choosing between cryptocurrency and stock is totally based on individual's risk tolerance. The stock market is highly regulated and has been in existence many years ago before the invention of bitcoin which is the first cryptocurrency, and more also the stock market is also less volatile compared to the cryptocurrency market. On the other hand, cryptocurrency like Bitcoin is a very volatile investment and new compared to the stock market, but despite cryptocurrency like Bitcoin being new , Bitcoin has outperformed even the best stock in the stock market despite being new in the investment market and as for me, I prefer investing in cryptocurrency like Bitcoin to investing in stocks.

Similar to crypto, the stock market is even more diversified, and there are also stocks that are very worthwhile and stocks that should not be invested in.

It is true that Bitcoin is the only asset suitable for creating long term wealth. But the problem is that not everyone who enter the market want to invest long term and become a holder. Many people enjoy trading, speculating, even gambling, and each person has a different risk tolerance. That's why we have centralized exchanges that provide services like trading, staking, or lending.

I have not explored the stocks part yet but I am looking into crypto for now and mainly in bitcoin, but I am also open to thinking about land and property. But stocks on the other hand are best for trading but for long term investments to make huge returns, I think we should take huge risk too.

So we have to invest in risky stocks like we can buy new AI companies share like of Open ai or of Nvidia etc. Any relevant manufacturing company that is facilitating the AI world can be a good return with risk in the long run.

Even some stock traders have switched to crypto trading because they find it more profitable than stocks. There are times when their income from stocks is okay, so they don't leave it, but rather add to it. There's nothing wrong with doing both if you can and have the capital to use. But you can't just stay with one if there's a better option that can also earn you money.

Coming back to the topic. Yes, 2025 might not have been the best year for crypto but overall bitcoin is still far better than any other asset class.
If we compare the overall returns of bitcoin vs any other stock, we can see that bitcoin has really made it a long way in a short span of time.
Once we invest in bitcoin, we can expect a pretty good return in the next 3-4 years of timeframe.

Well, I will prefer to invest my money in crypto but this is not because stocks are bad, but because crypto is something I started my investment journey with and now, it's already become part of me, I might in the future try to look at stocks and see if there is any with good potential for future profit but then, I will always maintain my investment in crypto.

One of many reasons I choose crypto over stocks is because in stocks, it's most times kind of hard to find a start up with good potentials for success, and even if the start up is going to succeed, it's going to take a really long number of years and this is why some times, parents invest on stocks but it's the children who end up reaping the fruit of that investment if the company end up succeeding.
So, I prefer crypto investment to stock any day anytime.
