Bitcoin is obviously the most prominent asset for investment and I think many people from this forum will choose the same.
Stock market is fine but the volatility and the ROI is far lower in it when compared to bitcoin.
One thing that we can do with bitcoin is invest in it and forget and not worry about the volatility at all.

Bitcoin must be part of the portfolio, that is an important note in my opinion, if we only invest in one asset, we are afraid that you will think too much and our mentality will not necessarily be strong when it comes to price fluctuations, we can say don't care about the bitcoin that has been bought, just save it and forget about it, but in fact it is not like that if your investment asset is only in one single asset, even though the ROI is very tempting, mistakes can happen during the investment period which you have to consider in the long term.
An investor can't just forget about a Bitcoin commitment to investment using a notable strategy like DCA. They must always check in with their fractions and quota and ensure security of their wallet is guaranteed until the duration they deem fit.

I considered cryptocurrency a great newer investment sector that catches my eye and interest more than the stock investment market, probably because the launch of crypto currency unfolded before my eyes and I have learned so much about it both knowingly and unknowingly.

Commitment is always good for Bitcoin investment, but don't be so fanatical that your eyes are closed, it will really help you to open your mind to other potential at certain moments, keeping it safe is an obligation in any investment, especially Bitcoin, using a wallet that is only controlled by you is the solution, don't let anyone have potential access to your Bitcoin.
That is indeed good, crypto is indeed a new investment in the world of finance, so there is nothing wrong for anyone to enter and study there and yes it is very profitable, I am also the same in studying it, but I was also born from the view of all assets that we can invest in, including gold or property, having asset diversification is much more comfortable for me in my investment journey.

Crypto currencies like, Bitcoin, etherum and solana are really great pumping in value over the years. And as crypto currency adaptation continues to spread fully around the world, I think there will be more valuable than there are now in the future.
Stocks, as we all know are basically companies shares  put out publicly for any one to buy and own. A lots of stocks have done greatly over the years too, companies stocks like , Tesla, Facebook, Amazon and many more. And as long as these companies keeps innovating and improving, the value of these stocks will continue to increase.
So when investing or starting your investment journey, which will you prefer to invest your money in, crypto or stocks?
personally i would invest in stocks as this means i am buying in to a actual company and have stable shares, which is more beneficial for a longer term growth with a stable profit if any. whereas crypto will carry a much higher risk in the return on the amount of money i invest as the change is frequent and regular so the stability of it for me would not be a secure investment long term.

I have only seen people who trade on the stock market and make profit. I have not tried it out myself. I'm more conversant with the crypto market, and I prefer to stick with what I know rather than go with what I don't know or have much knowledge about. Unless things change in the future, then I can pay little attention to it or just use asset managers.
If you have seen it in 2008 or in 2020 you would have seen plenty of people losing trillions combined in the stock market. Doesn't mean it never happened in crypto, we are very volatile and we lose money too however at least we are honest about it and crypto is volatile which means if you are not careful then you are going to lose money and you need to end up with better returns if you want to hold long term.

So there is no reason why stocks should be better investments, I would prefer crypto because at least here we can recover easily. Compared to stocks, when bitcoin crashes, it takes only a few years and we break over the all time high again, whereas stocks require nearly a decade to recover and do better.

That is a good differentiation of stocks and crypto. But to tell you, stocks are also volatile and you'll never know that the company you've bought are also the same in style with the developers in a crypto project that has plans to exit early and make the stocks quite high before they start selling. Those kinds of owners are also existing in the stock market and they've waited for that long before they do that trick they've been waiting for. So, you have to choose the stocks that have a reputation for so long so that you won't be falling with the same schemes.

Well obviously, I’m more into crypto investment than stocks. To be honest, I haven’t tried engaging with stock market and I don’t really have much knowledge with stock investment. I only know some basic knowledge but compared to what I know when it comes to crypto, I’m more confident with investing in crypto. Since I’ve been in this space for years, it’s easier for me to understand and get hold of the crypto market.

But if I have the opportunity to get into the stock market and try learning it, it would be better. Not that stock is better, but having knowledge in both market and investments is better.

I have a neutral stance on this issue. Because each asset/investment has its own advantages and disadvantages, and each person has a different risk appetite. Therefore, we cannot assume that our choice is the best choice and all other choices are wrong. We should not impose our thoughts on other

This has always been quite a complex issue because many people always try to say that what they do is the best and don't really care about the opinions of others who even think that other people's opinions are wrong and we are always right because of a bigger ego.

Even though we know all have advantages and disadvantages including in the investment choices made because it all comes back to the risk and level of understanding of each individual.
I used to be a pretty tough person and even debated people who said our choices were wrong but increasingly I think we cannot be naive because every head has its own thoughts and it will be very selfish when we try to impose what we believe in to others because it is like limiting and we seem to close our eyes to the opinions of others.

Investment would be better served as a freedom regardless of what is invested, everything is valid as long as we believe in what we are doing regardless of stocks or crypto as long as we have an understanding in it I don't think it is a problem because everyone has the right to make their own choices without the need to say which one is the best and force others to agree with what we believe.
At one time I used to think exactly this way. Everyone's opinion is valid, all choices are equal, very mature and open minded. Still, some of the frameworks for understanding reality are simply better than others. That's how knowledge works. If someone believes that the earth is flat I'm not going to pretend that's equally valid as actual geography. Same principle here.

The stocks vs. crypto thing isn't a matter of preference really. And it's what future you believe is coming. But if you believe that we are in late stages of a debt-based fiat system that is mathematically unsustainable (and there's pretty compelling evidence for this if you look) then Bitcoin is something else altogether. It's insurance against the whole thing breaking.

What changed for me was trying to think of investments as isolation choices. Started observing them as expressions of what the future you're getting ready for. Stocks assume continuity. Bitcoin assumes disruption. You can hold both obviously. But pretending that they're equivalent misses the whole point of what's going on.

And yeah everybody has a rights to make choices. But rights don't excuse consequences. Someone that doesn't know what they are investing in is not exercising freedom, they are gambling with extra steps.

Freedom without knowledge is simply randomness.

And as long as these companies keeps innovating and improving, the value of these stocks will continue to increase.
So when investing or starting your investment journey, which will you prefer to invest your money in, crypto or stocks?
Look, you asked your questions very nicely. In fact, you asked me to choose one of these two or you asked me which one I would prefer. But before that, let's talk about the matter.
The difference between crypto and stock is risk management, person's mentality and time. These depend on the age and mentality of the people, who will accept which one. Young people and those who like to take risks will definitely prefer crypto. And I think those who are relatively old and do not like to take risks will choose stocks. However, there are some people who feel more comfortable taking high risks even though they are old.
However, some will think about the matter a little differently, and that is to prioritize the main point of economics and that is not to invest all their capital in one place but to invest some of it in the stock business. Since I am almost ignorant about the stock business I will prioritize cryptocurrency.

The focus is that even though we don't really agree with what other people say doesn't mean we have to say they are wrong because they have their own opinions and we just need to respect that. as for ourselves, it's the same, we just need to continue what we already believe in regardless of what people say because we also have our own thoughts and understandings, especially when dealing with investments, it is certain that we already have an initial understanding because since we decided then we will definitely look for what is suitable according to our fashion and understand what we are investing in.

Getting both of them to be much better but keep in mind when making both (stocks and crypto) then we must be ready with money because this relates to our abilities so as not to let us become divided focus and not optimal just because we want to be in both but do not have sufficient financial capabilities.
When someone doesn't know but still insists on investing I think it's not a consequence but it's the worst way for them to burn the money they have and cases like this happen a lot now especially for fomo who don't know anything but instead force themselves to invest just because they follow what others say (usually influencers who always become references).

I agree with you that the stock market is also very volatile and risky, and that is why it is considered risky asset. However, the stock market is subject to much stricter regulation and legal frameworks than the crypto market.

Unlike crypto, you simply spend money and list your coin arbitrarily on CEX. For a company to list its shares to the public, it must undergo an audit, disclose full financial statement, and meet a series of stringent legal requirements. Therefore, it is very rare for developers to manipulate stock prices and divest their holdings. They will face very serious legal consequences.

You can not compare stocks to altcoins, they are very different and stock are much safer.

Company come and go, only bluechips one are secure yet there are outlier, if you held microsoft stock you're already losing 20% of your stock value.
Treating stock as "safe and secure" is just not it, they are just volatile as bitcoin if not more. The dividend that you get also not a free money, notice how after dividend getting paid out the stock price decreases.

For me, I choose stock and bitcoin but lean more on bitcoin because I liked the decentralized nature, harder to fall off than any centralized company.
On the other hand, stock is also a good investment which i venture to occasionally.

When someone chooses stock or gold, it does not necessarily mean they do not believe in Bitcoin. Sometimes the reason is simply that they prioritize stability and dislike high volatility

Every investment has its pros and cons, and each person's preferences and risk appetite are different. Gold, bitcoin and stocks are all potential investments, and which one is best will depend on each person's investment goals and preferences. We should not judge them just because they chose stocks instead of bitcoin.

It is actually funny asking this kind of question on a crypto forum. 99% of us came here because we are in one way or another interested in cryptocurrencies and since it is a bitcoin forum, most especially bitcoin. So isn't the answer simple?

Individuals you'd find in this forum either invest in bitcoin (or crypto) and stock, or just bitcoin (and other crypto). I for one have a very good knowledge of bitcoin and very limited knowledge in the stock market. That said, i am constantly improving my knowledge of the stock market, because it is a very good way to diversify.

I prefer crypto investment because that's where I'm making a good income, compared to stocks where I don't have clear ideas on how to gain from it or make good profits.

However, I won't deny I heard a lot of good news from stocks investors, and there are times I also got interested to try it. But I'm still so much engrossed with bitcoin and my own day job so I haven't enough time to learn about stocks.
Investing in profitable assets like stocks or crypto depends on a person’s knowledge, experience, and ability to understand the market. Without proper knowledge, it is difficult to gain full benefits from any investment. I prefer stocks because I am someone who usually avoids high risk. Stock returns are mostly long-term, but they are safer and more stable. noticed that many people are now investing in other assets due to changing market demands. Because of this, I have started learning about cryptocurrency. I believe the future will strongly involve crypto, so I want to gradually shift my perspective from stocks to crypto
